Pretty good point. Could also see it being something for him to easily call back to later to protect himself. Like "why would I point out what their strategy should be, and what to look for if I'm them." type of energy. I mainly agree with you on it, because it would be a ballsy play, but I could see Chris being just ballsy enough to pull it off.

I wouldn't say this bc I think pointing out common Mafia strategy is an easy scum tactic anyway, especially if they already know they're choosing now to do said strategy, it's just a good red herring.

And I kinda think it's a weak reason to read me town so far that Brett jumped on but I also disagree with you on it bc i don't see what's so ballsy about my play so far or that anything I've posted is really something I would avoid saying as scum

End of first paragraph should say "not to do" not "now to do"

:hmm: the reason I would see it as ballsy, is more so as you said, scum has to play a little different this game being the stakes are a lot higher than normal. What with 7 people their numbers can't be that high. So using a common tactic to me in a game where they can't make really any mistakes just would feel risky to try and pull off. That's just the way I see it. Not saying I'm reading you as scum yet, but definitely not ready to say you're definitely town either.

Back tracking to this, do you really think this applies to such a small game though? Even if it's shit being thrown out, the stakes are a lot higher D1 and Mafia can't really just let a teammate take the bullet and try and jump on a big D1 wagon for creds here. So we should have more interactions and data possibly tying them together even before night in this case
You're right but we also are assuming that mafia is more than one person, whose to say it isn't just one? :draper2

This is obviously fence sitting on me rn but I'm inclined to believe the assessment as natural as I don't think I've done anything particularly towny either yet

Is that very likely? I don't think I've ever played a game this small even when I did irl ones forever ago. I've been assuming 2 this whole time myself bc 3 would be absurd

I dunno I'm just throwing it out there, in a 7 player game we don't know what the fuck we're doing. If it's 2 players, mafia could theoretically win in less than 2 days, 1 would be a little longer. 2/7 is also closer to 30% than 25% which is the standard for mafia numbers. Something to consider I guess.

I mean yeah standard is like 33% non town so it's probably 2 Mafia or smaller chance 1 Mafia and an indie I guess but I'm assuming less complications for the small game

But my main point is both town and Mafia need to be more urgent and mindful with less players so D1 being a wash and then really focusing come D2 when we have hard data (which I do like to do myself) shouldn't be any kind of plan or accepted

Or Lack thereof? He had the one interaction with Blaze talking about his tells, Jean's an interesting cat and I think my lack of history playing with you guys or in general won't give me a good read on him . I could totally see myself getting convinced into him being scum when he's not because he's just an eclectic dude. That's where I'll rely on some of you who have played with him in the past to lmk if there's anything overly fishy. But also I'll be watching who may be overselling Jean's potential as scum.

Hmmm ok. Well I agree with your tell on me at least. Just put my ears up I'll be honest because that's the kind of stuff scum can do to excuse themselves from having reads. Also could be early post padding.

I thought this post specifically is doing the same thing you leaned town on me for tbh so I was wondering if you felt similar to him or not.

Well my thoughts for your post (which again is an amateur's view), was that you were speaking on an objective fact that would realistically hinder the mafia's perceived position. Jean's referring more to himself in that post I believe (if I'm reading correctly), so it didn't provide me with the same comfort that your post did
