Cats can actually be trained. The thing with cats is that most of them choose not to do it because they don't give a fuck.
I have two dogs and two cats. I love all of them, but, I like cats a little more because they don't need constant attention and they just do their own thing. The biggest thing is, I don't have to go outside in the winter with my cats and have to wait forever for them to shit. I dread each winter more for having to bring my dogs out than anything else. It's cold as balls so they don't want to go out so I end up having to freeze half to death for 30-40 minutes at times just to wait for them to go.
My dogs go out 4 times a day. Just think about being all comfy in your bed and having to force yourself out of it because you have to bring your dogs out, or getting home from work, hungry and tired, but have to go back out right away so they can do their thing....
Cats, feed them, give them water, clean their litterbox once a day, it's all good.
Before I got my dogs, I had one cat. When I went away for the weekend, all I had to do was fill her bowls with water and food. I didn't have to worry about getting someone to watch her for the weekend because she had all the supplies she needed and I obviously didn't have to worry about her shitting and pissing all over the house because she goes in a litterbox.
Dogs are great, but, far more work than a cat. After the dogs I have now, I really don't think I will ever get a dog again....Love them like crazy, but, jesus, LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME, IT'S 8AM, I NEED TO GO OUTSIDE!1!11!111
