With the worry of having no top babyface on the SmackDown brand in case The Undertaker has to take time off or if Jeff Hardy decides to take a break, WWE is still scrambling to have more face stars on the brand. While they do have Rey Mysterio, Vince McMahon doesn't see injury prone Rey as a long-term top guy and CM Punk & John Morrison are questionable in the number two spot.

WWE creative discussed this past week of moving Matt Hardy or Big Show back to the brand for a face push. This might not happen due to the feeling of not wanting to make a mockery of the Draft so soon. Big Show is currently in the feud with John Cena but could always be brought back to work as a face against Edge. A Matt Hardy face turn also might not work right now because they just did turn him heel.

Matt and Big Show would be terrible choices. Matt just turned heel after a huge build-up, Big Show has his Cena program, let alone BOTH of them just got drafted. Tista wouldn't be a good choice either, not with them wanted to push new Talent and with
rumours of him retiring maybe by next year
.

They have what they need on the brand, they just need to be built up. Morrison and Punk still need a lot more building up in order to be credible main eventers. Although they are right about Mysterio and him being injury prone. R-Truth is mega over with the audience they are catering to, yet he seems to either be forgotten or is a jobber now.

i went to a house show tonight and im surprised to see how over Morrison is as a face already. He'd be a great choice for it especially with the smaller sized wrestlers on SD!

I don't see why they would be scrambling. SD has a pretty solid upper midcard and main event scene. Say what you want about Punk, but they're pushing him strong now, as he's already a "big name" guy, and they're solidifying him as a main eventer with his recent push on SD. If they push Morrison to be a top guy by the end of the year, or maybe Royal Rumble (Imagine him winning it?!) the main event scene would have no problems. But even now, I don't see a problem with it. That article relies on a lot of if's, such as IF Mysterio gets hurt (which is doubtful, seeing as he's been healthy for a while now, and WWE will probably be careful with him) and IF Jeff Hardy quites (which is doubtful, seeing as rumors are that he's about to sign a new contract).
Also, I find this whole article to be strange. Why would WWE move Show and Matt back to SD? Obviously this article is full of it. WWE has done some incredibly stupid things, but they're not that stupid.

Should definitely throw Mr Kennedy back over to Smackdown, he was only drafted via supplemental draft so its not like throwing him back over to SD will be bad, and he was once over enough to be in a few main events and he has fought for the world title before, so if SD need top face guys while the others are out I would throw Kennedy back to SD for a while, they will probably push Kennedy again anyways so why not push him on friday nights? Would be good and what Vince wants.

Let him go.

If I was gonna do that, it would have happened long ago. >_>

Morrison as anything "Main Event" is pretty laughable, he's better as a face though than as a bad guy.

Whoever said bringing Kennedy over is pretty smart, as maybe his character can develop some, just gotta stay healthy and he'd work wonders.

Morrison is definitely not ready yet, once he establishes himself as a legitimate face though it'll will surely pwn.

They need a face with some good promo skills, otherwise we're going to be seeing heels carrying virtually all the top feuds on SD. I think bringing Kennedy over would work but he's not exactly main event either. I think that the best option, although the man himself would object, would be Shawn Micheals. He wouldn't be constantly in the title picture, would put over some younger stars and also give the ME some star power, and a face with mic skills. Think of HBK vs Morrison, Punk, Umaga, Edge, Mysterio, Hardy, Shelton or any other SD guys.

Unlikely but it would own.
