WWE probably had no plans on putting him back on tv so he asked for his release instead of sitting his contract out

Yup just because the charges were dropped, it doesn't mean he did what he was charged for. I had a family member attack the other and that person didn't show up to court and the charges were dropped. So who knows if the lady didn't want to show up from fear from Swann, or you could go the other way as well that she was lying. Still he's been on TV since all of this and we knew his time was limited the moment it happened.
