They didn't start pushing them as top-tier talent until they were pissed off and didn't want to be there anymore. In January 2000, they all jumped ship over to WWF, where they would go on to be major talents. Guerrero and Benoit would win world titles there.

Malenko was never a Worlds Champion level guy, but the other 2 were definitely capable of being WCW Worlds Champion.

Malenko probably wasn't world champion material, but he was easily an upper-midcard US Champion level guy

They tried to keep Benoit giving him the World Title, he won it, and still left.

Eddie Guerrero was far and away the best. Dude just had a natural charisma that was undeniable. Couple that with elite in-ring talent.

Mostly because he and Kevin Sullivan had a ton of heat and he didn't want to work for him (Chris Benoit had an affair with Sullivan's wife, who would go on to be Benoit's wife when... the incident happened.)
