People often mark a lot for the moves that these guys do but I honestly I think the best part of this match right now is Eddie selling. That work he’s doing with his arm after Benoit was targeting it. It’s really good storytelling.

Honestly I think one of the biggest things is people forget that Benoit was actually really good at telling an in-ring story even if he wasn't the most charismatic guy. He understood the psychology of wrestling so much better than a lot of people credit him with.

You can say what you want to, there’s a lot of hindsight lying going on about WCW Bischoff didn’t punish people for doing good work in WCW like Vince would often do in the WWF. If the undercard outperformed his main event, he punished them. Hear Bischoff actively rewarded them for performing well in the opening.

It was so good. Did you see that work that Eddie was doing with his arm which we call in the business selling. That was telling such a solid story.

I think Bischoff was actually a really good wrestling mind, but he lacked business sense.
