Let’s not count out TNA. There was about four-five years where they were doing pretty well. Some of the biggest names in the industry jumped over during that. Including sting!

Oh they were great at that time but I don't feel like they were really ever competition.

Had TNA actually known how to do marketing and get sponsors (and not have Russo as their booker), they could have competed with WWE at a decent rate. But they were always gonna be hampered in some way.

Oh they were great at that time but I don't feel like they were really ever competition.

Strictly speaking, I don’t think AEW is competition either. It’s depending on how you’re defining it but all things considered when you are factoring in everyone else at the time TNA at the highest point was getting 1.5-2 million viewers when raw was routinely doing about 3-3.5. I think at a time if you can get Kurt angle, Kevin Nash booker T, Scott Steiner, sting, Christian Cage, the Dudley boys, the Hardy boys all on your show that’s competition in the strictest sense. To me that’s what makes a competition when it’s an option for the highest players in the game to go.
