...with Vince, is kinda hilarious to be completely fucking honest. It's not great or anything, but I enjoy it for what it is.

BTW, WWE Fans are not the WWE Universe, they're a PART of the WWE Universe.

Decent segment, followed by..... YES! THE MIZ! He starts it off incredibly. You can see his LeBron jersey though...

I like that they're playing to the NBA though.

Now he's back to talking shit about Cena, and dissing Bryant IN LA, and Magic Johnson, and playing against Cena...

And then steals NBA Playoffs catchphrases and says "Where The Miz Happens".

Cena comes out and gets jumped by Priceless and Miz, Batista following and cleaning house. Show takes over and cleans house. Lawler comes out dressed in Lakers colors and gets the good of Show 'til a headbutt, Cena and Batista clear Show out.

...decent fucking start to Raw on a show that's not going to be AS serious as they've been billing. Stupid promo of the main event dressed as Lakers vs. Nuggets though.

It was pretty damn lame, but it was still a smart move on Vince's part. It will most likely do what it was supposed to do, which is get him and the WWE talked about on the sports networks for another day as they will surely show highlights of this little skit.

I'm actually a little suspicious about whether this is a well crafted work or not. It almost has a Vince/Donald feud vibe to it, it's so public. I don't think this is exactly as it seems.

i thinks that Mcmahon is taking this a little too far. i think that WWE should have competition only with other wrestling business

This has absolutely nothing to do with competition. He's in no way trying to compete with the NBA or the Nuggets organization. He's just taking this situation and milking it for all it's worth to get as much publicity out of it as possible.

Do you mean he should be calling out TNA? If so, that's pointless. He has a reason to call out the Denver guy, so he did.
Anyway, ya, I liked it... It could've been a bit better. It seemed a bit off (the promo) overall, but it was still pretty funny. I just like the fact that they didn't back down, and did a promo on it. That's the kind of stuff that happened 5-8 years ago. I would've liked to see a bit more come out of it though.

Too bad Jericho isn't on Raw anymore. He could've come out in a Ron Artest singlet and start punchin on with the fans.

Anyone even remotely surprised about who took the pin in the 5v5 match? :ROLFMAO:

I refused to watch RAW. The hype for it was dumb. I was already sick of the whole Denver shit on commentary. The main focus of this show was on that. Don't they have a ppv this Sunday? Shouldn't the focus have been on promoting that ppv? Furthuring feuds? A majority of people don't even know who the fuck this guy is nor do they give a shit. People in Denver and LA may know. But those (most) outside of that area don't give a shit.

^^^They have 52 Raw TV shows a year. Many of which people complain lack anything of note (look at how much shit Raw has got from the IWC of late*)... It was fun and a ready-made way of tapping into a little bit of reality on the show.

I didn't realize until I watched that the venue they used was actually the Lakers' 'home'. WWE became Lakers fans for the night that's all... We're not expected to perceive any of this as 'high octane' stuff.

*As it was, it turned out to be the best Raw since the draft kicked in.

p.s. I have NO interest in Basketball what-so-fuckin-ever...

p.p.s. No, there isn't a PPV this Sunday...

EDIT: Wait, not it's not...it's next week...but still

Wow, you're right. Their promotion for it was so shitty I completely forgot about it. Wow, that's just sad. And is it me or are their PPV's falling way too close together? Wasn't Judgement day like...2 weeks ago?

Internet fans:
Last week: This show lacked any reason to tune in. There's no attention grabbing story, there's nothing new, nothing potentially funny
*The Denver Debacle unfolds*
This week: Man, the way they took the attention off the show was stupid. What was the point of that? There's no need to take the topic off the feuds (the same feuds that were called boring last week), just for this...

But really, I don't get what you're complaining about. First, as Airfixx said, there is no PPV this week. And throughout all this denver stuff, they still furthered all the feuds. You didn't watch Raw, so how would you know? The Flair/Batista vs Orton thing continued, and even got bigger. Cena/Show continued to build, and they started a new "competitive rivalry" type thing between MVP and Kofi. They did just as much building of storylines this week as any other week, and if you watched, you'd have seen that. The only part that was about the Denver thing was a 5-10 minute promo at the start of the show. The main event had the guys come out in basketball jerseys, but it didn't affect the match at all. Other than that, it was the same as another show, and better than recent weeks.

^I was really turned off by actually having them wrestle in basketball jerseys...I thought that was extremely stupid....and with the heels wearing the Nuggets jersey completely took away from any sense of illusion that they had a chance of winning.

Sorry, but BULLSHIT.

They had a stip deciding match, announced all the matches in a vid segment and had numerous references to Cena & Ortons matches.

They promoted EVERYTHING.
