King Of The Ring Final:
Cody Rhodes vs. Sami Zayn
The bell rings and it’s a big match feel right away. Both men are cagey, not wanting to make a wrong move, knowing the prize up for grabs is huge. As the Saudi fans urge them on, they eventually lock up, and they start with some mat wrestling. They go back and forth, with both men having moments on top, however Sami has a quickness advantage, which helps him. Despite Cody’s best efforts, each time they scramble, Sami is able to snap on a Side Headlock.
Cody slaps his own thighs, constantly frustrated at getting caught. Meanwhile, on commentary they talk about how Cody seems different tonight. No smiling, not happy, he means business. Rhodes breaks out some more elaborate counters and moves to try and get on top, but Zayn has an answer for everything Cody attempts.
Realising he can’t break out of Zayn’s Headlock with simple wrestling, Cody manoeuvres himself to allow some flexibility for his arms. Cody keeps it simple, throwing some rapid fire elbows to the stomach of Sami, who after the fifth shot, is forced to relinquish his grip from Cody’s neck. As Sami backs away, trying to regain some air, Cody presses forward, switching back and forth between right hands and chops.
With Sami’s chest reddening, he realises he needs to make a move, so he puts an arm around Cody’s neck, and starts landing short forearms. Cody retaliates with some of his own, and it isn’t long before we’ve got a HOCKEY FIGHT!!! The two continue to go at it, and maybe somewhat surprisingly, Sami wins the exchange. After landing some repetitive shots, Sami is in control as Cody staggers backwards. Zayn starts landing some big kicks to the head, causing Cody to reel, but somehow the former WWE Champion remains on his feet.
Sticking to what works, Sami looks for another kick… No! Cody catches the leg, causing Sami to hop around one foot. Before Cody can capitalize, Zayn leaps up and lands an Enzuiguri to the back of Cody’s head!!! Dazed after the shot, Cody rolls to the outside, looking to take a breather. Cody slapped the apron in frustration as well, clearly feeling he should be doing better than what he is… WHEN SAMI LOOKS TO LEAP THROUGH THE ROPES WITH A TOPE SUICIDA!!!
NO!!! CODY LEANS THROUGH THE ROPES AND HITS A FOREARM, HALTING SAMI’S MOMENTUM AND CAUSING HIM TO FALL BACK IN THE RING!!!
Instead of following straight in, Cody hops back onto the apron and then climbs up to the top rope. Cody waits on top, until Sami gets back to his feet, so Cody leaps off the top… CROSSBODY CONNECTS FROM THE TOP ROPE!!!
The momentum causes Cody to keep rolling, all the way off of Sami. Not wanting to give up his KOTR chance so easily, Sami rolled underneath the bottom rope and onto the ring apron. Slowly, Sami pulls himself back to his feet, using the ropes… WHEN CODY LOOKS FOR A SPRINGBOARD TRIANGLE ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!
NO!!! SAMI DUCKS THE FLYING BOOT!!!
Cody landed awkwardly, hanging his hamstring over the top rope, and somehow bounces off the top, landing back first in the centre of the ring. Sami almost shrugs at his own luck, surveying the audience, before putting both hands on the top rope… SPRINGBOARD SOMERSAULT SENTON LANDS FROM SAMI!!!
SAMI STAYS ON TOP OF CODY FOR THE PIN…

CODY KICKS OUT WITH AUTHORITY!!!
As Sami gets back to his feet, contemplating what to do next, the clever Cody rolls away from the centre of the ring. Sami tries to chase Cody and pick him up, but Rhodes rolls, until he’s back underneath the bottom rope and on the apron. Now it’s Cody’s turn to use the top rope to pull himself to his feet, and Sami meets him with a hard Roundhouse Kick!!!
The blow sends Cody flying off the apron, but despite being dazed and confused, Cody lands on his feet… UNTIL SAMI TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A TOPE SUICIDA!!!
The fans erupt after the big high risk move, as a “SAMI” chant breaks out. It looks like the move took a fair bit out of Cody, who remains down almost like dead weight. Sami slowly heaves Cody off of the floor, and rolls him back into the ring. Sami rolls in after him, before dragging Cody up and sending him to the corner of the ring.
After nailing some right hands, Sami walks to the opposite corner of the ring, before charging forward… HELLUVA KICK!!!
NO!!! CODY DUCKS UNDER IT AND GETS A BACK BODY DROP!!!
BUT SAMI HOLDS ONTO THE TOP ROPE AND LANDS ON HIS FEET ON THE APRON…
ONLY FOR CODY TO EXPLODE… THIS TIME CONNECTING WITH A SPRINGBOARD TRIANGLE ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!
Even though the fans are more into Sami tonight, the impressive move gets quite the response. More importantly though, as Sami lands on the apron, he suffers a whiplash effect on his neck. He immediately clutches at his neck, looking distressed, and Cody sees it. This starts the heat period of the match, as Cody keeps Sami grounded, focusing in on the head and neck of the smaller man.
Cody stays on the attack, but Sami shows off his tremendous resiliency, refusing to give in. Eventually Cody whips Sami hard into the opposite corner, which again, has an impact on the neck, providing some more whiplash for good measure. Cody runs towards the corner, looking to do further damage, but Sami gets a desperation boot up to stop Cody.
With extremely quick reflexes, Cody is able to halt his momentum and catch Sami’s boot before it crushes his jaw. Sami hops on one foot, and attempts the second Enzuiguri of the match… No! Cody ducks under it, but Sami impressively lands on his feet, and then hits a dinky little back kick to the gut. The blow takes the air out of Cody, who let’s go of Sami’s leg to grab at his mid-section. This allows Sami to run the ropes… SPINRGBOARDING OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE… AND NAILING A DROPKICK!!!
Both men are feeling the effects of this one, exhausted as they both remain down. They slowly battle back to their feet, and the momentum of the match has completely changed. They trade strikes in the middle of the ring, but Sami has the advantage, landing the bigger shots and evading some of Cody’s. Sami continues to press forward, backing Cody into the corner, before stepping away, only to charge in, nailing a Corner Clothesline!!!
The impact sends Cody staggering back towards the middle of the ring, as Sami charges forward again… SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB!!!
NO!!! CODY CATCHES THE LEGS OF SAMI… SHOWING INCREDIBLE STRENGTH… HOLDING HIM IN AN ALABAMA SLAM POSITION!!!
It’s an incredible show of strength from Cody, as on commentary, they put over his former partnership with Hardcore Holly. Cody carries Sami to the corner of the ring… AND CODY HITS A MODIFIED ALABAMA SLAM… SENDING SAMI CRASHING BACK AND NECK FIRST INTO THE CORNER!!!
Sami immediately grabs at his neck, with that move not helping his previous injury. Now Cody backs away and runs towards Sami, looking for a Corner Clothesline of his own… No! Sami dodges the attack, getting out of the corner, causing Cody to crash into the turnbuckle, sternum first. Cody stumbled backwards after the shot, as Sami bounces off the ropes… SUNSETFLIP POWERBOMB CONNECTS!!!
Getting back to his feet now, the focused Sami soaks in the ovation from the fans, stalking Cody. Rhodes slowly struggles to his feet, and Sami pounces… BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!!
NO!!! CODY SPINS OUT AND LANDS ON HIS FEET…
BEFORE TAKING SAMI’S HEAD OFF WITH A VICIOUS CLOTHESLINE!!!
Again, it’s more impact to the bad neck, as Cody grabs Sami… LOOKING FOR TIGER DRIVER 98!!!
NO!!! Sami battles free and spins out, before grabbing Cody’s arm and pulling him in… AND SAMI GETS CODY UP FOR THE BLUE THUNDER BOMB AGAIN…
HOWEVER CODY IMPRESSIVELY REVERSES INTO A SLOPPY LOOKING HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN!!!
Whilst it wasn’t perfect, it’s enough to send Sami crashing down to the canvas, and Cody leaps on Sami, applying the FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK!!!
Whilst Cody hasn’t really prepped the hold with much work on Sami’s leg, it’s expertly applied. The pain and anguish is written all over the fact of Sami, as all he can really do is struggle. Cody sits up and then drops himself back first onto the canvas, trying to apply as much pressure and leverage as possible to the hold. After an incredible battle, Sami somehow manoeuvres across the ring and stretches, getting to the bottom rope.
At the referees request, although he does wait until the count of four, Cody breaks the submission. With some added urgency now, Cody grabs Sami by the leg, and roughly drags him back to the centre of the ring. Cody steps over… LOOKING TO APPLY THE FIGURE FOUR AGAIN…
NO!!! SAMI SNATCHES AN INSIDE CRADLE…

CODY JUST BREAKS FREE AT THE LAST MOMENT!!!
Both men bounce back to their feet like a flash, fuelled by adrenaline. Sami swings wildly with a Big Boot… No! Cody ducks under and runs from behind, taking Sami down with a Bulldog! Cody now stalks Sami, waiting for him to get up, before springboarding off the ropes… CODY CUTTER!!!
NO!!! SAMI SIDETEPS CODY…
BUT CODY INCREDIBLE LANDS ON HIS FEET!!!
Before Sami can react, Cody lands a hard kick to the gut, dropping Sami to his knees. Cody then takes a step towards Sami and lands a Step Up Enzuiguri! Somehow Sami gets back to his feet, albeit dazed and confused, as Cody bounces off the ropes… CODY CUTTER!!!

SAMI JUST GETS HIS SHOULDER UP!!!
Cody lets out an uncharacteristic roar towards the ref, more out of irritation than anything else. The ref confirmed that Sami definitely got out before the count of three. Dragging Sami back up to his feet, Cody looks to apply the Dragon Sleeper… but Sami throws his legs up around the body of Cody… AND SCORES WITH A MODIFIED VICTORY ROLL…

CODY KICKS OUT!!!
Both men get back up quickly again, and Cody uses his brute strength advantage, to push Sami backwards. Cody leans on him, trying to send him into the corner, when Sami explodes with an Exploder Suplex out of nowhere! With Cody slowly recovering in the corner, Sami heads to the opposite corner and it’s full steam ahead… HELLUVA KICK!!!
NO!!! CODY STEPS OUT OF THE CORNER AND SAMI CRASHES AWKWARDLY INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!! As he untangles his foot from the top ripe and stumbles back towards the centre… CODY GRABS SAMI… CROSS RHODES!!!
NO!!! Sami spins around so he’s facing the canvas, still in Cody’s grip. Sami then picks at Cody’s legs for a modified Double Legged Takedown… WHICH SAMI TURNS INTO A JACKKNIFE PIN…

CODY ESCAPES YET AGAIN!!!
Both men get back up to their feet, still relatively quickly. Cody’s a little quicker and synchs his grip around the head and neck of Sami again… CROSS RHODES!!!
NO!!! CODY GOES CRASHING TO THE CANVAS ALONE AS SAMI CLINGS ONTO THE TOP ROPE!!!
Cody tries to bounce back again, but this time he only makes it to his knees, when Sami tees off with a huge Roundhouse kick. Sami then picks up Cody and sends him towards the corner. Sami charges in after… HELLUVA KICK CONNECTS!!!
Cody collapses face down on the canvas. Sami shoots a Half Nelson to roll him over, AND SAMI MAKES THE PIN…

CODY JUST GETS A SHOULDER UP!!!
Sami can’t believe it. He’s in shock, as are the fans, their gasps echoing throughout the arena. Running his hands through his ginger hair, Sami takes a moment to recompose, before he nods to himself, and gets back to his feet. Sami waits for Cody to get back up… BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!!
NO!!! CODY LANDS ON HIS FEET AND IMMEDIATELY GETS A REVERSE FRONT FACELOCK…
CROSS RHODES!!!
Both men are down and out, the fans cheering like crazy. It takes awhile but both competitors, desperate to be king, slowly inch to the ropes to pull themselves up. They stagger from opposite sides of the ring, meeting in the centre… WHEN SUDDENLY ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE ARENA GO OUT!!!
Murmurs fill the arena as everybody in the audience, and even the commentary team wonder what the hell is going on. Scurrying can be heard from inside the ring, there’s activity, but nobody can see what’s happening…
UNTIL THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON…
AND THE REFEREE IS DOWN…
SAMI ZAYN IS STANDING BY THE ROPES… CONFUSED…
AND CODY RHODES LOOKS UNCONSCIOUS…
AS A MASKED MAN STANDS OVER HIM WITH A LED PIPE!!!
Nobody is certain just what the hell is going on, until the masked man rips off the balaclava… IT’S R TRUTH!!!
WHAT? Truth has just laid out Cody, as the fans give an almighty mixed reaction. Furious at the match being ruined, Sami comes from behind and grabs Truth, throwing him out of the ring. There’s a look of disappointment on Sami’s face, but he knows what needs to be done as he shakes the referee. Once the referee shows some signs of life, SAMI PINS CODY…

CODY GETS A SHOULDER UP AGAIN!!!
The fans are more behind Cody than earlier now, cheering loudly for his resilience. Sami can’t believe it, but has a look on his face that shows just how much he respects Cody. Still, not wanting to waste any time, Sami gets up, and this time doesn’t wait for Cody, instead hoisting him back up forcefully. Sami gets him up… AND FINALLY CONNECTS WITH THE BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!!

THREE!!!
WINNER: SAMI ZAYN VIA PINFALL at 20:18.
It’s maybe not quite how everybody envisioned it, but the crowd reaction is GIGANTIC, as Sami Zayn has been crowned the King Of The Ring! There’s a mixture of relief and anxiety through the facial features of Zayn, as it’s clear even he’s torn on how this has come about.
Sami doesn’t really celebrate, instead he just kneels down and checks on the wellbeing of Cody. The victor opts to help Rhodes to his feet, and as Cody gets his wits about him, feeling his head where he assumedly got struck with the pipe, he’s less than impressed. Shaking his head, hands on hips, Cody somewhat reluctantly shakes Sami’s hand and tells him, “CONGRATULATIONS”.
It's only as he’s doing this, that Cody spots R Truth, backing up the ramp ever so slowly. Truth is proud of himself clearly, as Cody’s eyes go wide in fury. CODY LEAVES THE RING AND RUNS AFTER TRUTH, WHO IS QUICK TO RUN THROUGH THE CURTAIN AS FAST AS HE CAN!!!
With Cody and Truth having disappeared, Sami gets a moment to head up the ramp, where the KOTR throne, cape and crown sit. As Sami approaches, as a shock to all, JERRY ‘THE KING’ LAWLER steps out onto the stage, and from one king to another, he presents the throne to Sami.
Sami looks a little uncomfortable, saying “thank you” but refusing to sit on the throne or dress up. Understanding, Lawler smirks before putting the mic he has in his hand to his mouth.
Jerry Lawler:
Ladies and gentlemen, let’s all hear it for the 2025 King Of The Ring… SAMI ZAYN!!!
It’s another respectful ovation, as the fans here love the hard working Sami Zayn.
Jerry Lawler:
I understand you don’t want to sit on the throne or wear the crown… It takes somebody special to pull that sort of thing off… But every king earns the right to make a declaration. Is there anything you’d like to say to all these people and the millions watching around the world right now?
Sami nods his head, politely accepting the mic from the WWE Hall Of Famer.
Sami Zayn:
Thank you, Jerry. It’s an honour to accept this from you and I appreciate you being here. I want to make it very clear I mean no disrespect by not wearing the crown, accepting the cape. I just, I didn’t enter this tournament for the pomp and pageantry.
Lawler is fine with it, not offended in the slightest. Zayn just shrugs, looking at the throne, the hint of a smirk on his face, before he shakes it off and gets serious.
Sami Zayn:
I entered this tournament for the challenge; I entered this tournament for the chase of the accomplishment. I entered this tournament to cement the name Sami Zayn in the record books. And above all else, I entered this tournament to prove to myself that I could win this thing.
Big pop… again.
Sami Zayn:
Looking back at those brackets at the beginning of this tournament, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. Names like Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, that thorn in my side, Karrion Kross, it was going to take absolutely everything I had to win this thing.
Zayn nods along earnestly with his words, believing every single one of them.
Sami Zayn:
And now, I can stand here in Riyadh… And say without a shadow of a doubt, this is the biggest win of my career!
Another loud cheer emanates from the audience, but Zayn remains serious.
Sami Zayn:
I don’t mean to say it was perfect, or I was perfect tonight, because I wasn’t. Truthfully, when Cody hit me with that Cross Rhodes, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to fight back. I have all the love and respect in the world for Cody, and I have no doubt that he’ll find a way to complete his redemption story.
Polite claps for Cody.
Sami Zayn:
Sometimes they say it’s better to be lucky than good, and that’s what happened tonight. I was at the right place at the right time… But for all my hard work over the years, all the grinding, all the nights of stealing the show, I stand here and say I am proud to stand here as the King Of The Ring!
Lawler claps along with the fans; everybody loves Sami it seems.
Sami Zayn:
Now as for what’s next, I’ve got my eyes on the prize, and that’s firmly on Summerslam. I’m not the type to play games and take forever to choose who I will face; I will make my intentions clear right now. At Summerslam, I will go in and challenge the World Heavyweight Champion!
Wooo, the fans are excited by that announcement.
Sami Zayn:
Right now, that champion is Jey Uso…
You guessed it, the fans mark out again for Jey.
Sami Zayn:
Jey’s a guy that I don’t just respect, I love Jey, he’s my uce after all. But if Jey wins tonight, which I hope he does, I will stand across from him at Summerslam, I will beat him, and I WILL become the World Heavyweight Champion!
More cheers as Zayn has one last thing to say.
Sami Zayn:
Welcome to the summer of Sami Zayn!!!
With that, Zayn’s music hits as he passes the mic back to Lawler. Continuing to get the incredible Saudi response that he always does, Sami stands on the stage, just enjoying the moment, before finally making his way to the back…
…
***ALL FALL DOWN***
The heat is DEFEANING as the woman who looks like arrogance personified right now, the NEW WWE WOMENS CHAMPION, ROXANNE saunters down the ramp. Smiling in a smug fashion, Roxanne points and shows off the newly minted title sitting around her waist. Of course, she’s not alone either, as having her back, is RAQUEL. They both enter the ring, despite Roxanne being the only one competing tonight.
***WARRIORS***
It’s not the loudest pop in the world, but a nice, respectful reaction greets the arrival of KAIRI SANE. Sane looks fired up and ready to go, pumping her fists and getting the fans amped up. Surprisingly though, Kairi stops at the foot of the ramp, opting for a mic.
Kairi Sane:
It seems congratulations is in order…
Roxanne smiles and nods, yelling off mic, “your damn right”.
Kairi Sane:
Congratulations… On your tainted win to be champion!
GIGANTIC pop from the fans as both Roxanne and Raquel are mightily pissed off inside of the ring. Roxanne even kicks the bottom rope in frustration.
Kairi Sane:
Not only you wait until Tiffany Stratton had long, tough match… Not only you wait to cash in Money In The Bank… You even had Raquel do damage first.
Roxanne covers her ears, pretending like she can’t hear.
Kairi Sane:
That is tainted.
The champ, and her muscle are both furious.
Kairi Sane:
I know this match tonight important for you, because you think I injured Liv on purpose…
It’s clear both women in the ring believe that based on their reactions.
Kairi Sane:
How about you make Liv proud? You and me, prove you deserve to hold that belt.
Roxanne is confused, asking “what do you mean”?
Kairi Sane:
What I mean is send big foot over there to the back…
“BIG FOOT” chant almost immediately starts up, as Raquel loses her mind.
Kairi Sane:
And let’s do this one on one…
Raquel is not interested in the slightest, wanting to tear Sane apart right now. Roxanne however, after mulling over it for a few moments, nods her head in agreement.
Raquel is shocked and annoyed, but Roxanne tells her, “I’M THE CHAMP, TRUST ME. I’VE GOT THIS”.
She still isn’t completely onboard but eventually Raquel relents and leaves the ring. Kairi then quickly slides in, allowing Raquel a clear path to the back up the ramp, giving Kairi some choice words on the way.
With the back up gone, the bell is ready to be rung, as it looks like this will be a one on one contest…
Grudge Match:
Kairi Sane vs. Roxanne Perez
Kairi is here to compete tonight, sensing the opportunity to potentially defeat a Womens Champions here tonight. Meanwhile, there is hatred in the eyes of Roxanne, as she truly believes she is here to get revenge for Liv tonight. The strategy is interesting from Roxanne though, as opposed to brawling, she begins things with a Lock Up. She gets a takedown as well, initiating some mat and chain wrestling, however she didn’t anticipate the skill of Kairi.
Kairi manages to get the better of the most the exchanges, and whilst Roxanne tried to work on the arm of Kairi (Liv’s shoulder is injured), Kairi ends up focusing on the new champions arm. Kairi uses a mixture of Arm Drags, Arm Bars and Hammer Locks to keep Roxanne at bay. After fighting to her feet, albeit still trapped in a Hammer Lock, Roxanne backs into the corner, jamming Kairi in the corner and the ropes. This forces the referee to call for a break which Kairi is more than happy to oblige with.
As the ref polices the break, watching Roxanne slowly look to move out of the corner, Roxanne throws a vicious back elbow, crushing the jaw of Kairi. It’s a huge, unexpected blow, which rocks Kairi, and it allows Roxanne to unload with right hands, really beating up her opponent in the corner. As the referee pleads for another clean break, Roxanne drags Kairi out of the corner by her hair, and tosses her out of the ring with disdain.
There’s no wasted motion from the champ, as she really is hell bent on revenge tonight. Roxanne meets Kairi on the floor and stomps on her, before picking her up and ramming her headfirst into the crowd barricade. Kairi remains slumped over the barricade, so Roxanne hoists her right in the air… ROXANNE DUMPS KAIRI OVER THE CROWD BARRICADE WITH A BACK SUPLEX!!!
Falling to the floor in pain, Kairi rolls around in agony, holding her back. Meanwhile, Roxanne stands over, a vicious grin on her face. From here, Roxanne completed dominates, ditching the game plan to go after the arm, and instead focusing on the back and neck area of her Japanese opponent. Back inside of the ring, the work continues, with Roxanne getting several near falls and really having her way with Sane.
Kairi is a fighter at heart though, having bursts of offense, but Roxanne shows she’s champ for a reason. She’s not afraid to bend the rules and blatantly cheat to maintain the advantage. Kairi doesn’t give up though, constantly trying to hammer away with right hands to fight back, but her mobility is hampered by her bad back. This means Roxanne is able to user her pace and durability to avoid Sane and take her back down with speed.
After having more of her own way but not being able to finish Kairi off, Roxanne grabs her and drags her to her feet. Roxanne whips Kairi into the corner, before running in after her, but Kairi turns her body, landing a big back elbow to the face of the champ. Our commentators talk about the irony, as it was an unexpected elbow which initially gave Roxanne the advantage in this match… Anyway, Roxanne stumbled backwards, holding her jaw, and the resilient Sane runs at her and lands a big Clothesline!
It's a momentary burst of energy but Kairi stays down after landing the blow, but so does Roxanne. Both women struggle to recuperate, gaining their vertical base at relatively the same time. Kairi immediately takes control though, landing more repeated big punches now, sending Roxanne pinballing around the ring. Kairi runs through Roxanne with a few more Clotheslines as well, refusing to let her breathe.
After the third Clothesline in a row, Roxanne gets back up, and Kairi motions with her hands for the champ to “BRING IT”. Frustrated and embarrassed, Roxanne lets loose and sprints at Kairi, but Kairi ducks her head and sends Roxanne flying with a Back Body Drop!
This time Roxanne remains down on the canvas, so Kairi steps onto the apron and ascends up to the top rope. Once Kairi is perched on top, Roxanne works back to her feet… SO KAIRI LEAPS OFF… FLYING CLOTHESLINE!!!

WINNER: ROXANNE VIA PINFALL at 14:24.
The NEW WWE Womens Champion wins her first since claiming the title, and she looks impressive doing it. The heat is strong for Roxanne, as she snatches her title which was not on the line from the referee.
Roxanne raises the title in celebration, smirking, before she looks down and notices that Kairi is still down on the mat. She holding her left arm, clearly something isn’t right after the missed Insane Elbow.
As the referee kneels down to check on Kairi, Roxanne exits the ring, but she doesn’t head up the ramp. Instead, Roxanne gets herself a STEEL CHAIR.
She slides back into the ring, evil intentions obviously on her mind. Roxanne threatens the referee who scampers away… AND ROXANNE BEGINS REPEATEDLY SMASHING THE STEEL CHAIR ACROSS THE ARM OF KAIRI!!!
All Kairi can do is scream in pain, as ROXANNE NOW STARTS STABBING KAIRI’S ARM WITH THE CHAIR INSTEAD!!!
Amongst massive heat from the crowd, when Roxanne decides she’s done, she drops the chair and exits the ring. The champ looks every bit as DOMINANT as a champion should, as the ref calls for EMT’s to help Kairi, who’s arm may be hanging by a thread…

Six Man Tag Team Match:
Judgment Day vs. Latino World Order
This one is fast paced right from the get-go, as the LWO explodes as soon as the bell rings. They refuse to even allow Dom Mysterio to take off his father’s mask, leading to the man wanting to now be known as ‘The Mask Collector’ in a lot of trouble. When all three members of the LWO explode onto Dom, as the fans go bonkers, however McDonagh and Balor look to step in and protect Dom. This leads to a three on three brawl, which to their credit, the fired up LWO still win anyway. The babyface trio clean house, throwing each member of Judgment Day out of the ring with disdain.
Surprisingly, the LWO listen to the asks from the referee, and they remain in the ring. Judgment Day, much to the chagrin of the crowd, take their time to recover and recuperate. After some discussions, Judgment Day opt for McDonagh to start things out for them, but admittedly, it doesn’t do them any good. Regardless of which LWO member is in the ring, they manage to isolate Cody, and put in some work on him. They all pinball him around the ring until Cruz Del Toro ends up in the ring with him. Cruz has his way early on, before sending JD into the corner. Cruz charges in after him, but JD gets desperation boot up into the face of Cruz.
The blow is enough to cause Cruz to stagger backwards and fall to one knee. As Cruz focuses on ensuring all his teeth are still in the right position, JD quickly hoists himself up to the top rope. Cruz stands back up, still a little dazed… MISSILE DROPKICK FROM JD TAKES CRUZ DOWN AGAIN!!!
Still struggling after taking quite the beatdown, JD crawls across the ring and tags in Balor. The former Universal Champion immediately begins a ground and pound based onslaught on Cruz, as now the Judgment Day begin their portion of dominance within the match. JD and Finn, being a successful tag team, bend the rules when appropriate but also use amazing teamwork to keep Cruz away from his corner. Meanwhile, Mysterio is different, as he’s just viciously brutal, showing off more of a mean streak.
Cruz shows that impressive resilience that all babyfaces conveniently have though, refusing to back down. The tide changes when Finn runs at him and leaps in the air for a Sling blade, but Cruz ducks it. Balor lands on his feet, but Cruz ends up behind him… CRUZ THROWS BALOR ACROSS THE RING WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX!!!
Both men remain down after the huge shot, as the fans urge the LWO on. Both men slowly crawl to their respective corners, and McDonagh gets tagged in, WHILST DRAGON LEE GETS THE HOT TAG!!!
Lee comes in like a house on fire and cleans house on everyone, with JD especially having no answer for him. Lee keeps JD off balance and keeps knocking him down with his fast paced offense, until McDonagh runs at Lee to change things up, but Lee runs right back at him… AND DRILLS HIM WITH A RUNNING FRANKENSTEINER!!!
Lee immediately bounces off the ropes, and hits a Running Senton onto the fallen JD. Instead of going for the cover, Lee heads to his teams corner and tags in Wilde. Wilde leaps up to the top rope instead of entering the ring. WILDE COMES OFF WITH THE IMPRESSIVE MARY ROU LETTON!!!
Once again, the LWO don’t go for the pin as Wilde looks at the adoring crowd, signalling that this match is about to be all over. Before he can do anything else though, he gets a little to close to the ropes when amping up the fans, and Finn attacks Wilde from the apron. Balor swings wildly, until Cruz runs around ringside and pulls Balor off the apron.
Balor and Cruz go blow for blow on the outside… UNTIL DOM MYSTERIO TAKES THEM BOTH DOWN WITH A SPRINGBOARD TRIANGLE PLANCHA!!!
Inside of the ring, McDonagh lifted up Wilde, but Wilde shrugged him off and kicked him in the gut. As JD bends over as point of impact, grabbing at his gut… WILDE SETS UP FOR THE GORY BOMB!!!
NO!!! MCDONAGH SLIDES BEHIND AND LANDS ON HIS FEET!!!
JD pushes Wilde in the back, causing Wilde to almost crash into Lee, but he stops himself at the last moment. Wilde is relieved he avoided impact, but then JD Dropkicks Wilde in the back, sending him crashing into Lee! JD picks Wilde up hurriedly, AND NAILS HIM WITH THE DEVIL INSIDE!!!

Lee springs back to his feet, ready to do some damage to McDonagh, but before he can… DOM MYSTERIO NAILS HIM WITH A MISSILE DROPKICK FROM THE TOP ROPE!!!
Working together now, Dom and JD have a discussion over what to do next. They drag the battered Wilde to his feet, but Wilde shows his incredible athleticism, springboarding off the ropes… NAILING MCDONAGH WITH THAT DDT THO!!!
Mysterio just managed to avoid Wilde though, and when Wilde lands on the canvas, Dom quickly hurries to the apron. Dom uses the ropes to fly through the air… HILO!!!
NO!!! DOM CRASHES AND BURNS AS WILDE ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!!
Holding his back in pain, Mysterio pushes himself back to his feet, but Wilde is up to. Wilde runs at Dom… AND DRILLS HIM WITH THE ONE NIGHT STAND!!!
Meanwhile, the action continues on the floor, with Balor in control of Cruz on the outside. Finn grabs Cruz by the head and neck… AND BALOR LANDS A DDT ON THE FLOOR!!
Having taken care of business on the outside, Balor climbs back onto the apron, ready to get back in the ring. Unfortunately for Balor, Lee heads over and drills him with a right hand, sending Finn flying off the apron. Lee then turns his attention back towards Mysterio, hoisting him in the air… DRAGON DRIVER!!!
NO!!! SOMEHOW MYSTERIO GETS A LIMB FREE AND RAKES THE EYES OF LEE!!!
Lee relinquishes his grip on Mysterio, grabbing at his eyes, temporarily blinded. This allows Dom to come from behind and throw Lee out of the ring. At this point, Wilde gets back to his feet, but Dom runs at him immediately. Wilde uses his quickness to sidestep Mysterio and then uses Mysterio’s momentum to send him crashing into the turnbuckles in the corner of the ring.
Meanwhile, Cruz Del Toro has managed to somewhat recover from the DDT on the floor. Toro fights his way to the apron… as WILDE RUNS WITH A SPINNING HEEL KICK!!!
NO!!! DOM DUCKS… AND WILDE ACCIDENTALLY KNOCKS CRUZ DEL TORO OFF THE APRON WITH THE SPINNING HEEL KICK!!!
Wilde gets up but has his hands on his head, exasperated and upset with the accidental contact. Sensing his chance, Dom spins Wilde around and kicks him in the gut… BEFORE HITTING HIM WITH A VERTICAL SUPLEX… DOM SWINGS THE HIPS… AND LANDS A SECOND VERTICAL SUPLEX… AND AGAIN…
DOM COMPLETES THE THREE AMIGOS!!!
With Wilde out of it, Dom quickly steps to the apron and climbs to the top rope… DOM COMES OFF THE TOP WITH THE FROG SPLASH!!!

The boos are vicious, as ‘The Mask Collector’, ‘The Greatest Luchador’, the WWE IC Champ Dom Mysterio stands tall. Balor and McDonagh, looking worse for wear, quickly join him and the trio celebrate their victory.
The LWO point menacingly, disturbingly unhappy, but there isn’t really much they can do. They have failed to avenge Rey Mysterio tonight. Judgment Day continue their celebration, feeling on top of the world, as this brand warfare feud has potentially come to an end…
VIDEO PACKAGE
The video highlights the history between the WWE WOMENS UNITED STATES CHAMPION ZELINA VEGA and the former champion, CHELSEA GREEN. It shows all of Green’s antics, Vega managing to dethrone Green, and Chelsea finding a way to beat GIULIA to a title shot. Green swears this will be her last shot at the gold if she loses. The question remains; will she lose?
…
BACKSTAGE – GORILLA POSITION
Behind the curtain stands CHELSEA GREEN, her face virtually covered by the protective mask she’s been wearing since her busted nose. Behind her left and right shoulder stands ALBA FYRE and PIPER NIVEN, her Secret Hervice, ready to defend her at all costs.
Just as Chelsea’s music hits and they look set to make their entrance, SMACKDOWN GENERAL MANAGER NICK ALDIS appears. He stands in front of Niven and Fyre, blocking their path, before motioning for Green to continue on with her entrance.
Nick Aldis:
Sorry, there will be no interference. You’re on your own tonight, Chelsea.
Niven and Fyre protest, whilst Chelsea looks like she’s about to lose it.
Chelsea Green:
AHHHHHH!!!
A shrill shriek is all that Chelsea can let out, before she’s forced to turn and make her entrance on her own…

WWE Womens United States Championship Match:
Zelina Vega (c) defends against Chelsea Green
The two women circle each other before tying up, the fans surprisingly mixed, as some are a fan of Chelsea’s ridiculous antics. They start with a Lock Up, jostling for position, and they go through this process multiple times, but neither woman is able to gain a significant advantage. On the third break, frustrated at not being able to make her opponent budge, Chelsea lets out a scream… WHILST VEGA SWINGS WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!
NO!!! GREEN JUST MANAGES TO DROP TO THE CANVAS TO THE AVOID THE SHOT!!!
With a smirk on her face, the champ indicates with her thumb and index finger, just how close she was to putting Chelsea’s lights out. Green takes a deep breath, keeping herself in the game and they tie up again. This time they jostle longer, both straining, but Green uses her height as leverage and finally manages to back Vega into the corner. There’s a smug look on her face as the referee implores her to obey to a clean break, and Chelsea backs away, with her hands up claiming innocence, only for her to unload with a sharp chop across the chest of the champion.
Vega grabs at her, erm, puppies, as he moves forward, getting herself out of the corner. Sensing some weakness, Chelsea gets more aggressive now, just teeing off with vicious right hands. Feeling confident, Chelsea tries to land a few kicks of her own, but they look awkward, and Vega manages to sidestep or manoeuvre away from each one. The attempted kicks leave Green slightly off balance, so Vega pivots and hits a Jumping Knee right to Chelsea’s jaw!
On commentary, they talk about how that’s such a clever shot from Vega, because it misses the protective mask. Stunned, Green remains on her feet and stumbles back first into the corner, where Vega charges in after her… Corner Clothesline! The former champ staggers out of the corner but collapses to one knee in the centre of the ring. This allows Vega the time to climb up to the top rope, and as Chelsea turns around to face her… CROSSBODY FROM THE TOP!!!

CHELSEA KICKS OUT!!!
Whilst Chelsea kicks out pretty comfortably, Vega has all the momentum in the world right now. She keeps things fast paced, immediately taking Green down with an Arm Drag as she gets to her feet. Instinctively not wanting to keep her shoulders on the mat, Green immediately bounces back up into another Arm Drag, followed by a third. After the third Arm Drag, Vega attempts to keep Green grounded with an Arm Bar.
Desperate to get out of the hold, Chelsea valiantly fights to her feet, before somehow prying her arm free. This time Chelsea lands some awkward kicks, laying into the chest of the champ, until Vega catches the right leg on another attempt. With Chelsea off balance and wide eyes, hopping on one foot, Vega begins viciously driving her elbow in the quad of Green’s right leg, which remains elevated. Squealing in pain, Chelsea hops around, until she manages to slap the chest of Vega with a vicious chop.
Vega lets go of Chelsea’s leg and holds at her chest once again. Green shakes out her leg, before nailing a few more chops, sending Vega backing into the corner. Green keeps Vega trapped in the corner, landing chops and kicks to the gut to keep her at bay. As Vega slumps against the turnbuckles, Chelsea walks to the other side of the ring, putting her arms out wide to pose to the fans.
After receiving a mixed reaction, Chelsea starts flipping across the ring… BUSTING OUT A SURPRISE HANDSPRING BACK ELBOW!!!
NO!!! VEGA INTERRUPTS IT WITH A DROPKICK TO THE BACK MID HANDSPRING!!!
Feeling pain everywhere after a shot to the back, and a bad landing on her face, Green rolls outside of the ring. Weary of her former injury, Chelsea adjusts her mask, as Vega sprints across the ring… TOPE SUICIDA!!!

Looking to get her shoulders off the mat, Chelsea now moves onto all fours, but Vega comes at her with a Dropkick to the temple. Eventually Chelsea works her way to her feet, sure to abuse some fans as she does so, and she doesn’t realise that Vega is now on the apron… ASAI MOONSAULT TAKES DOWN GREEN!!!
The fans pop loudly for the epic move from the champ, as she pulls herself up using the barricade. After a pumping a fist in the air, Vega slowly works on heaving the dead weight of her opponent up, and rolling her back inside of the ring. As Vega follows her in, Green manages to stagger to her feet, only for Vega to land another jumping knee to the jaw, causing Green to fall backwards into the corner.
In complete control, the champ pulls Chelsea up by the hair, and then lifts her up, placing her in a seated position on the top rope. Vega throws a few right hands before climbing up to the top rope herself… FRANKENSTEINER!!!

NO!!! GREEN DROPKICKS HER OUT OF MID AIR!!!
The fans gasp for the ugly landing, whilst the champions gasps for air. Clinging onto her stomach, Vega is struggling, as Chelsea drags her up and whips her into the corner. Third times a charm AS NOW CHELSEA LANDS THE HANDSPRING BACK ELBOW!!!
Vega stumbles forward out of the corner, but Chelsea stops her from collapsing, and gets her in position… ZACK ATTACK!!!
The fans mark out for the reference to Ryder, and even Chelsea can’t help but let out a little smirk. Back in character though, with Vega down, now Chelsea sees it as her opportunity to climb to the top rope. She’s clearly not as comfortable as high risk, taking so long that Vega gets to her feet… SO CHELSEA LEAPS OFF WITH A DOUBLE AXE HANDLE SMASH!!!

A mixture of fury and surprise written all over her face, Chelsea glared at the referee and argued with them. The ref was adamant it was only a two count, and the match would continue. After wasting some time arguing, Green decides she’ll head up to the top rope and see what she can muster. Vega manages to recover faster than expected though and bounces off the ropes. The movement causes Green to lose her balance, and she crotches herself on the top rope.
Vega climbs up after her, and hooks her up… ALMOST AS IF SHE’S LOOKING FOR A SPANISH FLY!!!

Both women stay down, and the fans applaud what has been an unexpected show stealing match. The referee checks on Vega, who doesn’t move much initially, as Green weirdly crawls underneath the ring. The fans begin to murmur, wondering what’s going on as Vega begins to stir and slowly battles to her feet.
Green can only be seen by her one boot that can still be seen underneath the ring skirting. Seeing that, Vega exits the ring and drags Green by the boot, pulling her from under the ring. Green begs for mercy, as Vega grabs her and rolls her into the ring. Vega goes in after Chelsea and brings her to her feet, when Chelsea explodes, shrugging Vega off… AND LANDING A HEADBUTT… BUT ALMOST WITH HER FACE!!!

The celebration is rather subdued after the match though, as she steps through the ropes to leave the ring. Instead of exiting the ring from the side closes to the ramp, she goes to the opposite side, where the commentary table is. This is where she was under the ring, and as she steps out… SHE KICKS WHAT LOOKS TO BE ANOTHER FACIAL PROTECTION MASK BACK UNDERNEATH THE RING!!!
With a smirk, she then adjusts the one she’s currently wearing, and performs an overbearing victory lap around the ring. Once she backs up the ramp, her SECRET HERVICE greet her, and they all share a celebratory hug…

Queen Of The Ring Final:
Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley
There is a rather intense stare down between these two to start things off. There is clearly a respect there, but there’s also some hard feelings after the way that WrestleMania went this year, with neither of them being victorious. Both women almost begrudgingly shake hands, before backing away and psyching themselves up.
They start things up with a Lock Up, two of the most powerful women in the WWE today fighting for position. They battle to a stalemate, but Bianca doesn’t allow for a clean break, instead snatching a Side Headlock which she flows into a takedown. A mat battle starts between the two with Rhea holding her own, but Belair is arguably a little more flexible and athletic, and she’s able to use these advantages to have better success during the mat exchanges.
As they flow for awhile on the mat, Bianca almost riding Rhea, Bianca switches to a Gut Wrench, but Ripley manages to cling on to the bottom rope. At the count of four, the referee forces Bianca to break the hold, and she backs away. Smirking at Rhea, she tells her, “MAMI’S NOT ON TOP TONIGHT”.
Once a frustrated Rhea gets back to her feet, they lock up again, and this time Rhea gets a Side Headlock. Belair almost immediately transitions into a Hammer Lock though. The exchanges continue to follow the same pattern, with Rhea trying different things each time, but Belair just happens to have the answer.
Her frustration building, as they look to lock up again, Rhea reverts to a hard knee to the mid-section instead. The blow is enough to get Bianca to bend down, gasping for air, so ‘Mami’ unloads with clubbing shots to the back. Belair straightens up now and stumbles away from Rhea, who turns Belair around and unloads with brutal right hands.
The shots force Bianca to back up into the corner of the ring, but Rhea doesn’t relent. The referee starts a count yet again, and eventually has to pry Rhea away to get her to stop. Once Rhea does back away, Bianca slumps in the corner. For the first time tonight, Rhea lets out her trademark smile and retaliates to Bianca’s trash talk earlier, “MAMI’S ALWAYS ON TOP”!
Shaking out the cobwebs, Belair pulls herself to her feet and she isn’t impressed with Ripley’s response. Bianca walks right up to her… AND TEES OFF WITH A SLAP ACROSS THE FACE!!!
Oohs and aahs come from the crowd, as Rhea almost can’t believe it, touching her now bright red cheek. Fury flashes in the eyes of Rhea before she lands another knee to the gut, followed by an explosion of big right hands. The blows are hard and fast and eventually one last big punch sends Bianca crashing to the canvas.
Still furious, Rhea doesn’t relent, instead mounting Bianca on the mat and continue to tee off with hard hitting right hands. The blows continue, until Bianca somehow blocks a shot, and hooks Rhea’s right arm between Bianca’s own arm and her body… BELAIR TRANSITIONS INTO AN ARM BAR OUT OF NOWHERE!!!
Rhea immediately screams in pain, before squirming violently, and thankfully for her sake, she makes it to the ropes relatively quickly. Of course, much to her dismay, Belair has no choice but to let go of the hold. Getting back to her feet, Bianca steps away from Rhea, allowing her to get back up. Rhea does so, but she leans against the ropes for support, so Bianca runs at Rhea… BUT RHEA DUCKS HER HEAD… BACK BODY DROP OVER THE TOP ROPE!!!
NO!!! BIANCA HOLDS ONTO THE TOP ROPE AND LANDS ON HER FEET ON THE APRON!!!
Rhea thinks she’s taken care of Belair, a smirk on her face, before turning around… BIANCA USES THE TOP ROPE FOR LEVERAGE AND HITS A MODIFIED PELE KICK FROM THE APRON!!!
The hard strike staggers Rhea, who feels for her jaw, but somehow she remains on her feet. Bianca stands on the apron, both hands on the top rope, as Rhea slowly turns to face her again… BIANCA SPRINGBOARDS…
NO!!! RHEA SHOULDER CHARGES BIANCA AS SHE LOOKS TO BOUNCE OFF THE TOP… CAUSING HER TO TAKE AN UGLY FALL TO THE FLOOR!!!
Bianca groans as she remains on the floor for a few moments. Showing incredible heart, she uses the commentary table to pull herself up… ONLY TO TURN INTO A SUICIDE DIVE FROM RHEA!!!
Using her incredible strength, Rhea drags Bianca back up relatively easily, and basically muscles her back into the ring. Somehow, Bianca pushes herself back to her feet, as Rhea follows her in… BUT RHEA CHARGES AND TAKES BIANCA’S HEAD OFF WITH A BIG BOOT!!!

BUT RHEA IMMEDIATELY SINCHES IN A TRIANGLE CHOKE!!!
Immediately identifying that she’s in trouble, Bianca has a burst of adrenaline and powers her way up to her feet. Rhea keeps the choke locked in, so Bianca is almost holding Rhea in a modified Powerbomb position now as she struggles towards the corner of the ring. Once they get closer to the corner… BIANCA SWINGS THE BODY OF RHEA… RAMMING HER AWKWARDLY INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!!!
The velocity and impact are enough for Rhea to relinquish the choke and crumble to the canvas. Bianca drops to her knees after the crazy exertion of effort, feeling worse for wear in a match where she’s been battered so far. Both women get up at the same time, but Bianca beats Rhea to the punch, peppering away with some right hands.
Rhea is forced into defensive mode, backing into the corner. Bianca grabs her and looks to send her into the opposite corner, but Rhea reverses, sending Bianca across the ring instead. Bianca smashes back first into the turnbuckles and Rhea runs in after her with a Body Splash…No. Bianca manages to evade the flying Rhea, who goes sternum first into the corner. Rhea turns back towards the centre of the ring, holding her chest, and Belair looks for a kick to the mid-section. Rhea catches the foot… BUT BELAIR POUNCES WITH AN ENZUIGURI!!!

The pop probably isn’t as loud as expected, as there’s a sense of shock amongst the crowd. Nobody really expected this one to be over that quickly, but it is.
Rhea gets back to her feet and is all smiles, the cheers getting louder now the result has settled in. Getting her hand raised by the referee, Rhea is pumped, as she is now the 2025 Queen Of The Ring.
As the celebration continues, Bianca Belair slowly gets back to her feet, almost in shock. Turning the celebration down a notch, Rhea approaches her and extends her hand, but Belair looks absolutely shattered.
The heartbroken Belair shakes her head, mouthing “I CAN’T EVEN”, before refusing the handshake and walking out of the ring. Hands on hips, Belair storms up the ramp, now getting some boos from the crowd.
For Rhea though, the celebration continues, as Cathy Kelley waits by the Queen’s crown and throne.
Unlike Sami earlier, Rhea embraces the throne, sitting on it and she puts the crowd on her head. Cathy wants to interview her, so Rhea jokingly tells Cathy to sit on the queen’s knee, which she does.
Cathy Kelley:
Ladies and gentlemen, you’re 2025 Queen of the Ring… RHEA RIPLEY!!!
Epic pop from the fans.
Cathy Kelley:
Rhea, mainly due to the fact that you lost the Womens World Championship earlier this year, you’ve had a self-confessed disappointing year. How does it feel to get such a huge win after a debatable down patch?
Rhea is all smiles despite the hard hitting question.
Rhea Ripley:
It feels really bloody good!
Another pop for Rhea.
Rhea Ripley:
Growing up as a kid who loved wrestling, I grew up on what back then was the King Of The Ring tournaments. The pomp, the pageantry, these tournaments are iconic so to stand here now and be the winner of the Queen Of The Ring, it’s a dream come true.
More cheers from the fans, but now Rhea’s smile falters somewhat, getting more a serious look on her face.
Rhea Ripley:
The thing is though, as much as I’ll enjoy this victory tonight, that’s all it will be. I can’t get carried away; I need to keep working hard to be the best that I can be. This game can catch up to you pretty quickly, and I learnt earlier in the year and at WrestleMania, that dreams can quickly turn into nightmares.
It’s a more sombre Rhea now, with the fans listening intently.
Rhea Ripley:
I’ll keep doing what I do night in and night out, and that’s trying to be the absolute best. I need to strive for that, because there’s still one dream I have yet to accomplish, and I’ll be booking in the chance to accomplish that at Summerslam.
The fans are happy again now, knowing Rhea gets to challenge for a title of her choice at Summerslam.
Rhea Ripley:
At Summerslam, I will reclaim MY Womens World Championship!!!
Earth shattering pop, as determination is written all over the face of the newly crowned queen.
Rhea Ripley:
And if all goes to plan, I’ll FINALLY beat Iyo Sky to do it…
The last statement is a big one, acknowledging the fact she’s never defeated the current champion before.
Rhea doesn’t let it get her down though, as her music plays again, and she smiles to the crowd…

CM PUNK and SETH ROLLINS have had their issues for the better part of two years now, and they are yet to be resolved. These two were clamouring and arguing over a World Title shot, before JEY USO had even defeated GUNTHER in his last defence.
The following week, there was a 15 Man Battle Royal where Punk and Rollins went over the top at the same time. Being unable to be separated, a Triple Threat Match was booked for Night Of Champions.
Rollins and Punks personal issues continued, with the champion Jey Uso involving himself in a brawl on the go home edition of Raw. The champ wanting to remind them, they can’t overlook him…

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Triple Threat
Jey Uso (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins w/Paul Heyman
The match started and right away, Punk and Rollins seemingly forgot about Uso, and the World Title. The two men go nose to nose, mouthing off at each other, and they start trading right hands in a hockey fight. Refusing to be annoyed, Jey inserts himself into the fight, and shows just why he’s the champion. In very impressive fashion, Jey dominates both men in the early stages.
He maintains the domination to, almost catching his opponents off guard, until the unthinkable happens. With Heyman whispering instructions in Rollins’ ears, he approaches Punk, and the two start working together to get rid of Jey. It’s clear they aren’t friends, it’s a “let’s get rid of this guy so we can kill each other” alliance, but it’s still a surprise and the fans don’t like it one bit.
Firstly, they target the knees of Uso, not one but both. On commentary, they talk about how Jey’s main advantage throughout the match so far has been his pace. By taking out the knees, they remove that advantage. After battering the champions legs for a while, Seth and Punk pick him up together, and throw him shoulder first into the corner.
With Jey remaining stuck in the corner, CM Punk steps between the ropes, standing on the apron… AND HE NAILS A ROUNDHOUSE KICK… JAMMING JEY’S HEAD BETWEEN HIS BOOT AND THE RINGPOST!!!
Not wanting to be outdone, Rollins exits the ring as well, stepping down onto the concrete floor. He reaches up and grabs Jey, bringing him down from the apron and to the floor. Once on the floor, Seth applies a variation of a Front Facelock… DDT ON THE FLOOR!!!
And Seth only JUST rolls out of the way… AS PUNK COMES OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH AN ELBOW DROP ON THE FLOOR!!!
Jey Uso’s chest may be crushed, and he may just be out of this match, or at least that’s what Michael Cole thinks. It’s a brutal spot for sure, and as Punk battles to his feet, a little worse for wear… SETH GRABS PUNK FROM BEHIND AND RAMS HIM FACE FIRST INTO THE RING POST!!!
A dazed Punk collapses to the floor, not moving, but Rollins drags him up and rolls him into the ring. Seth hurries in after him… AND SETH HOOKS THE LEG…

Seth lands awkwardly and turns into a boot to the gut from Punk… FOLLOWED BY THE WELCOME TO CHICAGO!!!

The fans don’t appreciate it, but Punk just smirks at the reaction, before dragging Rollins back to his feet.

Sensing his chance, Jey heads to the corner of the ring, stalking Punk, who slowly works to his feet. Jey runs at him… SPEAR!!!

The champ manages to stop himself before hitting the corner, but Punk immediately seizes his hand, and sends him into the opposite corner. Punk charges in and LANDS HIS PATENTED HIGH KNEE IN THE CORNER!!!
Punk wraps his arm around Jey’s neck… BULLDOG!!!
Stalking like always, Punk stands up, watching Uso stir, waiting for him to get up. When he does, Punk goes low with a Dropkick to the knees. The champ’s legs go out from under him and falls to the canvas, allowing Punk to step out onto the apron. Jey works his way to his feet… SPRINGBOARD CLOTHESLINE!!!
Punk then drags Uso back up… SITOUT SUPLEX SLAM!!!

AND BRONSON REED IS IN THE RING AND RUNS THROUGH PUNK WITH A BODY SPLASH!!!
With the referee disposed of, Breakker joins Reed in the ring, and they begin decimating Punk. They beat him up before throwing him outside of the ring. Bron Bron head to the outside after punk, hoisting him in the air… AND THEY MILITARY PRESS HIM THROUGH THE DAMN ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!
CM Punk is down and out, and the fans gasp at the spot. With Punk indisposed, Bron Bron get back inside of the ring, but Jey fights them both off with right hands as best he can. He continues to fight them, before he turns into a Sling blade from Rollins!!!

JEY USO RETAINS THE WORLD TITLE!!! The champ is exhausted but once he’s given his title, he’s got a few good ‘YEETS’ in him, much to the delight of the fans. The fans are ecstatic with Uso’s victory, until Jey cuts his celebration short and leaves the ring, because Breakker and Reed are back inside.
As the big men point menacingly at him, Uso backs up the ramp, taking a deep breath. He smirks at them as he backs up the ramp, stopping to raise his title above the air one last time…

Seth drills Knight’s face into the canvas, but he isn’t finished. He looks at Reed and yells, “GIVE ME THE CHAIR”!!!
Reed picks up the chair but before he can pass it to Seth…
