Pretty annoyed with my stepfather. His head is so far up Trump's ass that he convinced my mom that Trump is paying for SNAP benefits out of his own pocket. Interesting how the truth is that he was ordered to do it by the courts and even after the courts ordered it, has said he has to "let his lawyers figure it out."

Anyone delusional enough to think he would do something like that needs help. Nothing the man has done in his whole life says that he would do something like that.

I've seen it mentioned on multiple national political pages on social media how JD Vance's brother got clobbered in his bid to become mayor of Cincinnati, which is true, last I saw it was 71% to 29% in favor of the Democrat incumbent, Aftab Pureval. Now I don't actually live in the city of Cincinnati, I live in a suburb adjacent to the city, so I don't vote for Cincinnati mayor, but if I did I definitely would have voted for Pureval against Bowman and probably if he ran against another Democrat. In Cincinnati mayoral elections if only two candidates put in a bid for mayor then they both automatically make the November ballot regardless if they are from different parties or the same. If more than two put in a bid they all face off in one primary election with the top two vote getters, regardless of party, go the the November election. This year it was just the two candidates running, so no primary. The last few mayoral elections have been Democrat vs Democrat. Coming in to this election, all nine city council members were Democrat, so it's really no surprise that Pureval won or that he won by a large margin. It's not a major blow against Trump like people think.

When they say the left its interesting hearing this as in the states its 2 Capitalist parties with different sections of both sides which is a lot. If the dems embrace some sort of socialism then they might have a good chance in the long term.
