I just found out about this. I was trying to avoid the news for a while because it's been nothing but depressing.
It's good to see our democracy crumbling. And don't tell me this is not what is happening, because it is exactly what is happening. TV shows are being pulled off the air for the simple reason that Trump is threatening the owners of the channels with the FCC if they don't pull the shows. This is completely against the fundamental principles of this country.
All of this is because that piece of human garbage that sits in the White House cannot take any sort of criticism. You know, if you can't take criticism, don't be in politics. Criticism of politicians has been the fucking norm for thousands of years. And I am not exaggerating. It comes with the job. But Trump's skin is so fucking thin that he can't handle it.
And personally, I've tried to be nice about this Charlie Kirk thing because I know how many people cared about him. But give me a break, he wasn't more important than the 17 people killed in Parkland. He wasn't more important than the Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman who also had her husband and murdered by a confirmed Republican earlier this year. He wasn't more important than the kids killed at Sandy Hook... yet it is interesting how Alex Jones was never threatened by the FCC to be taken off the air for his conspiracay theory bullshit about Sandy Hook and what he said was 10000000000000 times worse than what Kimmel said.
Anyone would have to be fucking blind to not see the blatant double standards being held here. This is sickening.
