I thought my hypothetical equivalent of someone wanting to ban religion was a decent comparison, with the obvious negative that it doesn't current exist so that hurts. I think a lot of the right would celebrate that, and I think it would also make me uncomfortable. I wouldn't find it acceptable either

It "can" be celebrated yes as in I can't stop anyone from doing that. Should it? No, I've said a million times anytime anyone remotely controversial dies that celebrating death is weird and makes me feel uncomfortable but everyone seems to have lines that makes it okay, maybe I do to, idk
Can confirm this has been your stance the entire time

Charlie Kirk calls for "Men" to handle trans people "like the 50s and 60s"

In other words, Transgender people should be beaten and lynched like they were back then.

But you see Barry: being transphobic is acceptable so this is just basically debating with people

Like I hate to keep harping on it but I was like 11 or 12 so it was very formative for me but that reaction to Bin Laden's death really fucked me up as a kid lol it was celebrated on a WWE PPV. And I'm not saying anyone that did that was a bad person either, but if I don't find that to be acceptable for me then I certainly don't find this one.

And yeah I didn't even know he said this stuff so given even more reason to not be sad the cunt has passed when I know friends in real life who has suffered transphobia thanks to people like him and JK Rowling and that father ted cunt who the media keep acting like is on trail for tweets when it is assaulting people. If you basically call for violence against people, well don't be shocked when someone lashes out.

I think a lot of people here are just misunderstanding people and wires might he getting crossed.

Chris doesn't think someone being killed is something to celebrate

Smark doesn't think being transphobic is acceptable.

I don’t know, man it just makes me pretty sad that that there’s even a “can” be justified in celebrating a right wing political commentator but under no circumstances, can it ever be justifiable to celebrate the death of the left-wing political commentator. I think that’s kind of weird.

And I know you’re not specifically saying that.

I don’t mean to lash out you specifically, but it just makes me sad that I come on after I see a tragedy and see this kind of reaction and then when I push back on it even a little bit that’s controversial. I wanted to believe at the very least politically speaking I could just come and say, please don’t celebrate the death of political commentator and that would be agreeable.

Celebrating death is just bizarre. But dude was not an example for anyone either. We just need to move away from being a culture of celebrating the death of anyone. Or selectively deciding who has full value and who has half or no value in terms of right to life.

but you're acting like no one on the right would celebrate a liberal death. And they "can" as well bc how could I stop them?

Can you name one left wing commentator who has called for violence against a group of people? If so, yeah then that group has every right to celebrate

oh maybe, I didn't watch that one live anyway bc I have a vivid memory of the stream not working after like match 1. Maybe it was on youtube or aired on raw after
