The Carolina Panthers waived Baker Mayfield on Monday after the quarterback went 1-5 as a starter this season and posted an NFL-worst 18.2 QBR.

Baker Mayfield was pretty obviously just not a fit in Carolina, and his QBR is very misleading considering the offensive line sucks, the defense sucks, and outside of DJ Moore, the receivers suck.

Mayfield was not being allowed to play to his strengths and he's still a year off from a major arm injury (of which him playing through likely aggravated and worsened his condition). Baker will be fine, he'll find somewhere else to work.

Okay, I went ahead of myself saying that he should never play in the NFL again with a god-awful QBR. I want to retract what I said about him. He does deserve another chance to redeem himself with a better team. He was not a good fit with Carolina.
