SEC refs win.

Blatant tackling of the pass rush on the winning touchdown, fake targeting call. What else is new.

Refs are bad in all conferences. Seen bad calls from ACC, Big 10, etc. It sucks and I get it. But it aint just SEC refs that can be bad.

No but the SEC refs helped the SEC win.

All refs make mistakes but it really felt like all the calls were in favor of A&M. Only time they really called penalties were procedural penalties that the refs needed to call.

Blatantly tackling a pass rusher, creating a targeting call out of thin air on a defensive leader. When all that happens it is really deflating.

Don't get me wrong Notre Dame fucked it up. But it really sucks when it feels like you're playing the refs too.

I do not understand why conferences have their own refs. NCAA should control the refs.

I get it. I just read wrong. Felt like you were saying they were the only bad one. My apologies

I think them having their own is okay. But when its a non conference game, it should definitely not be refs for one of the conferences in the game. Maybe then have some sort of refs for those games

I didn't make it clear, my apologies. Angry and frustrated my team is all but done 2 weeks into the season and now everyone is gonna shit all over them all season.

And in all honesty the refs aren't necessarily bad, but SEC refs will have a natural bias towards SEC teams. ACC towards SEC, B One G towards B One G, Pac 2 towards Pac 2, etc.

If all the refs were NCAA refs you take that subconscious bias out of the equation.

We good then man we good.

But yeah I can agree, like I said I think it can work when its SEC vs SEC or ACC vs ACC etc. Cause both are within the conference. Have a set of refs then also who do the games like this. That might be more trouble than its worth tbh though. I don't know. :lol so maybe your idea is better.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Texas A&M safety Bryce Anderson has feeling in his limbs after being taken to a local hospital following a play that left him motionless late in the first half at Notre Dame.

Anderson was carted to the locker room with 55 seconds left in the half. His head collided with Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon on a 25-yard completion. Teammates immediately summoned medical personnel, who spent about 10 minutes stabilizing Anderson's neck. The senior from Beaumont, Texas, gave a thumbs-up as he left the field.

Texas A&M's entire team came off the sideline and knelt on the field while Anderson was down, and several players came over to him before he left.

Anderson had four tackles in the game.

Two coaches already canned after bad starts:

UCLA fired football coach DeShaun Foster after he started his second season at the helm 0-3, the school announced Sunday.

An impressive class in the transfer portal, including the addition of former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava, seemed like a solid foundation for Year 2 under Foster, who rallied the Bruins to win four of their last six games to end the 2024 season.

But this season couldn't have started off any worse. In the Rose Bowl on opening night, the Bruins fell to Utah 43-10. A week later at UNLV, they stumbled again, dropping a 30-23 decision. But those losses were just lead-ins to a puzzling 35-10 defeat at the hands of New Mexico in Week 3 at the Rose Bowl.

The Bruins, through three weeks, did not top 23 points in any game, and had allowed at least 30 in all three losses.

Foster had a 5-10 record in the 15 games he coached for the Bruins.

Virginia Tech has fired coach Brent Pry, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel. Pry is set to be owed more than $6 million in his buyout.

The move comes a day after a 45-26 home loss to Old Dominion, a game in which the Hokies were booed loudly while heading into the locker room for halftime.

Saturday's loss dropped Virginia Tech to 0-3 on the season and 16-24 through four seasons under Pry.

The hot-seat talk bubbled up around Pry in November of last season in Blacksburg, and if the Hokies had lost to Virginia to end the season, a change may have been made at that point. But Virginia Tech defeated Virginia, and Pry's second consecutive 6-6 regular season landed him in a bowl game.

But as the offseason included personnel changes, the talk around Pry's status didn't fade. He entered Year 4 with a new defensive coordinator -- Sam Siefkes, a former linebackers coach with the NFL's Arizona Cardinals -- and a staff that included former longtime Hokies defensive coordinator Bud Foster as an adviser/analyst.

It did not work in the early going. Though the Hokies played hard in a season-opening loss to South Carolina, they were pushed around by another SEC team, Vanderbilt, in Virginia Tech's home opener a week later. The Commodores scored 34 consecutive points to close out a 44-20 win in which they trailed by 10 points at halftime.

That loss, however, proved to be just an opening act to Saturday's stunning loss to in-state foe ODU.

"Clearly, it starts with me," Pry said after the loss to the Monarchs. "Coaches, players, everybody is accountable here. We've got to get back to the basics and find a way to be closer to the team we can be."

Virginia Tech will host Wofford on Saturday, before beginning ACC play the following week at NC State.

I don't believe in curses, but after looking at Kansas St last year and Florida St this year, I think I'd rather play Florida's schedule than lose in Dublin to start the season.

Sorry to quote old posts but here's an update

Ugh, man down for Texas A&M and he's not getting up.

this is not good.

He's being carted off with a neck brace on him.

That sounds horrible

He flew home with the team, avoided "catastrophic injury" and the coach expects him to return later in the season.

This is probably the best news possible.
