There has been speculation that the Undertaker will retire at WrestleMania 26, however a new report from ProWrestling.net revealed that is not the plan. Undertaker is hoping to work his current schedule for another two to three years, and then just make special appearances for major events.

There was also speculation that Undertaker had hip replacement surgery after WrestleMania, but one source said that is not the case. "That's physically impossible to come back that soon," said the source.

I think another two to three years is really pushing it for Taker.

I like Taker, and he obviously loves the business and shit, but what he intends to do is plain and simple unfair to the younger talent. He basically plans to wrestle from Summerslam to Wrestlemania (wrestle is a stretch, he just cuts the same promo on the TV shows and only wrestles at the PPV) take another break, and come back to hold the World Championship.

Well, at least this gives us more Manias with him (Taker vs Cena, Taker vs Jericho, Taker vs DiBiase/Swagger)

Wow, two to three more years of his current schedule...and then only doing major appearances. Please don't become Hogan, please.
If this is the case, let him go back to Big Evil, you know damn well that was his favorite gimmick. Or at least a nice mix of Big Evil/Phenom. I think this gimmick has once again run its course.

He's been stale to me. He's promo's are extremely repetive. The only reason he isn't getting getting booed for being stale is cause he's getting the legend treatment.

Let his hair go red again...brink back the biker gear and let him be himself again. The limo scene basically put the nail in the Deadman coffin for me.

Anyone else want badass/deadman inc/big evil taker back?

I sooner see HBK retiring at WM26 than Taker. HBK has been back since Summerslam and he is so messed up he can't wrestle a singles match anymore. How many singles matches has he wrestled since being back? He was supposed to fight Jericho last night, but "coincedently" that match was interrupted before it began.

I am sick of Taker, American Badass or GTFO

I don't think that's the case with HBK, I mean, not singles matches indeed, but he has taken some sick bumps on his tag matches, so it isn't as if he has taken it slower. (he practically wrestled HIAC by himself)

Shit news. He's gonna do exactly the one thing I hoped he wouldn't.... Shit all over his legacy by staying too long... Respect is due for dedication etc, but the body's fucked Taker... Deal with it.

I don't want a champ who walks like my nan.

@ XBA re: HBK: Naaaaaaah. They're just going light on him on TV becasue of the battering HE (not HHH) took during the 3 PPV matches with Legacy.

Edit: IF he must drag things out for at least a few years to come I think they should just borrow a bit of Sting's crow-like gimmick and have him become like The Phantom Of Wrestlemania or sumthin'.... Sounds a bit wacky I know, but would suitably set him up for just one match per year where he picks someone who's been a particularly 'naughty boy' throughout the prior year who's sould he will attempt to claim come WM.

The Deadman thingy is getting kinda stale but it's always going to be entertaining.

I'd love to see him back as the American Badass though. His career should end with that gimmick.

That would just screw younger guys even more. If they went with this idea then he would come back at WM and fight someone who's been really 'evil', meaning someone they have been working on to push as a heel. But they would of have to of gotten enough heat for Taker to want to fight them since obviously if he comes back once a year they wont want to put him against a scrub.

So all the work they did over the year to build up this new heel is undone in one night since Taker will beat him, hence that guy is not the badass they made him out to be.

Then again, there really isn't much shame in losing at Wrestlemania against Undertaker.

Taker was gone for like 6-7 months after WM which is longer that Tista for bicep surgery. How is he back so soon if he had hip replacement surgery?
