This week on Raw, Jericho told us that he will leave WWE if he does not capture the WWE Championship at Night Of Champions. My thought regarding this:

The likelihood is that Jericho won't be on our TV after NightOfChampions, But I really can't blame him.

He's made his money in the past 20 years, Whether in WCW, ECW, Japan or WWE/F. His good wrestling skills along with his incredible gimmick (Which he performs perfectly) is always a highlight for me and without him, I would be less interested in the WWE product. Anyway, Jericho has made his money off pro-wrestling and I don't blame him for wanting to leave WWE since he's got no reason to stay there.

I've always been a fan of Jericho's run on Smackdown last year (As IC and then World champ). It was great to see his promos and wrestling matches on Smackdown and he soon came to be the focus of the Smackdown main event scene. Jericho also became the unified tag champ with Show in another classic part of his great year (Last year). I will be saddened when he leaves, but I respect his decision and can't blame him.

^ So, You're sure that Jericho shall grab the belt at NOC. Or it could possibly be another plan to trick us internet fans (Just like they did with the Byan Danielson storyline). Jericho will move to Smackdown just in time for the SyFy move thus making the roster bigger. However, This time he shall return as a cocky face who's witty (Just like his gimmick circa 2001).

He said he'll leave the WWE, not Raw.

Even if he wins the belt then Miz cashes in and takes it from him resulting in an awesome fued.
Could see that happening, both Miz and Jericho get tons of chants though, would be interesting to see the dynamic play out and more so interesting for the WWE to actually fuck off and let their prime talent on Raw actually take over and make Randy, Cena, and Sheamus take a backseat. Although Randy/Cena vs. Sheamus/Wade alliance could definitely take up their spare time, leading to a tag team HIAC match (like DX vs. Legacy). I thought it'd be cool if they made the GM say it so that the contenders themselves don't have to be pinned because if the champion is pinned then the one who pinned him becomes champion (like a triple threat or fatal four-way). However, if the contenders ARE pinned by someone then they're fired from Raw or something. Would make it interesting and would be a good way to send some guys like Jericho and/or Edge, or Cena and/or Orton to SD while also having Jericho replace leaving the "WWE" with just "Raw" and fulfilling his statement. I really hope Jericho wins though, again, he deserves it. He lost his last reign to Jack fucking Swagger? Are you serious? You got me excited for face Jericho vz. heel Miz now. :/

Could see this happening & hadn't thought of it tbh. Miz cashing in at NOC would mean he'd lose to Danielson, causing him to get angry and cash in. I like the idea of a Jericho/Miz feud as long as Jericho turns face and does his witty gimmick (Circa 2001). I still don't think that we'll see 3 people with the belt in 1 night (Sheamus to Jericho, Jericho to Miz).

You really thought he'd beat Bryan? And it's the perfect ploy to make it seem like he won't cash it in the same night (see: Edge at NYR 06 although it's kind of a rip off).

Honestly, as much as I would love to see Jericho either win the WWE title at NOC, or feud with the Miz or go to Smackdown, I don't see it (except maybe feud with Miz, which would be awesome) I could legitimately see him leaving the WWE for good. I honestly feel that he knows he is coming up on the last leg of his career, and I believe his contract is up for expiration in October, and I have heard that he isn't on the best terms with the WWE currently and Fozzy is supposed to be going on tour soon. So it wouldn't shock me if he does in fact leave the WWE, perhaps this time for good.

Here's what I think the deal is.

Jericho is going to take some time off. Not because he's injured, burnt out or anything like that but I think that his character has become a bit played out now and it's time for a change, but where do you go with him. You can't just turn him back into the Y2J type character because nobody will buy it and they'll shit all over it. His current character, well, I suppose you could go the Rock route with him and just have him focus his tirades on his opponents as opposed to the crowd but I still think the character won't find it's mark there either.

So have Jericho take 6 months off and when he comes back they'll more or less be able to set him up however they wish.

I really don't think Chris Jericho is all that stale, however i think they are having a hard time finding something for him. I say just get him involved in a good fued. It seems like they've been teasing a face turn with his Nexus involvement.

I wouldn't mind Jericho as the GM either.

I wouldn't call him stale, but much like Edge he is just kind of there, not doing much and at times his matches are not nearly as impressive as they once were, I think that he may be seriously contemplating retiring, or at the very least take a good 6-7 month hiatus to rest/heal

That's because he doesn't have much to do. Nexus and Cena are taking over Raw and pushing him and Edge aside. You can't expect a top heel to team with Cena to tackle Nexus and remain a heel. Sheamus, Orton and Miz are taking over the title picture so it would be clever for them to go to Smackdown. Maybe they could have a real chance if they went there.

Looks like this is leading to a Jericho vs. the iGM. His promo on raw was great. I'd hate to see Jericho take off at this point. I say continue to run with this storyline. Perhaps Jericho challenge the mystery man to a match for his GM position.
