I was reading a column in a certain news site, and the autor tossed the idea of an scenario in which WWE could pull off the famous double turn Austin and Hart pulled off. And he said it could be possible using...

Dave Batista and Randy Orton.

And I thought about it and he's right. Audiences have shown they have no problem with cheering Randy Orton. He has gotten, at moments, more cheers than boos since returning. Hell, he even outcheered Batista two weeks ago.

And Batista can easily turn heel. Fans have already booed him against Taker and HBK so it wouldn't be that new.

So, what do you think, if WWE books Batista vs Orton, could Tista turn heel and Orton face?

I hope they do it... I love Orton as face, Batista as heel would be quite weird though considering he's been a face for like the past 4-5 years now. I would love to see how they would do it though, itd be interesting

Orton as a face is a waste. He has way too much going for him right now. Right now he is carrying raw, and doing it as a heel, and it's clear his legacy should and wll be of being a dominant heel, and one of the best ever. No reason to ruin that IMO.

Orton staying as a dominant heel is obviously way more credible than the possibility of Batista turning heel. Batista as a heel would be a waste since it's happened 5 years ago and the fact that he was building up as a young wrestler at that time so it really wouldn't apply to Tista's current status in WWE really well.

Orton as the top heel on RAW is just too great to pass up the future that's in store for him. Besides I still want him running Priceless as a heel anyways, I'm still marking out for it.

There was a lot more to the Austin/Hart double, mid-match turn than the fact that the fans were ready to boo or cheer either.... I'm still interested to hear HOW this idea of Orton & Tista doing the same is meant to play out...?

Regardless tho, I am general agreement with the opinion that Orton is too much of a commodity as a heel right now.

I'm a huge Randy Orton fan, so I would hate to see him turn face. If he was on Smackdown, sure. However on Raw, John Cena will always be the number one face, so turning Orton would only serve to force him into a backseat role.

Orton is a WAY better bad guy. It's more his style. Him being face would suck and seem so fabricated. He just doesn't fit it.

Well i gotta agree with the majority. Orton offers way to much as a heel as of right now to be turned face. He is sort of like Edge he plays and suits a heel much more than a face. I really don't think they should turn him face. Keep him heel.

I don't foresee Orton being a face within any of the coming years..lol. I think the closest we'll see to that is what we're seeing now. People are happy he's back...the sparatic RKO chants....favoring him over Batista...ect.
If anyone needs to turn heel it would be HHH. He has been face for waaaaay too long. Trips as a face only works in small doses.

but then when Edge comes back, or Umaga or Mr. Kennedy, who'll be the main face besides Taker on SD?

Double turns are pretty tough to do. I dont think the wwe can pull it off, some mix reactions. Especially with these two. You are better off turning them in seperate situations.
