I don't think I've ever seen a major publication do a really good all-time greatest rappers/rap albums list. I feel like it's not evej worth reacting to for the most part but for the sake of conversation, I'll put in some thoughts. The top 5 is respectable. Even the top 10 mostly. I don't agree with it on the whole, but I can mostly respect the choices. I don't put Nicki Minaj anywhere near that conversation but frankly they're gonna always try to shoehorn a female into it, so it is what it is. I'd easily rate Missy and Lauryn Hill over her though if we're giving props to the ladies. Drake and J Cole both way too high for me as well, but their sales and cultural relevance give them a case. ASAP Rocky at 15??? I love Rocky but no chance in hell

Mos Def, Lupe and Prodigy are probably the most underrated on this list, I think they're all top 20 worthy. And then yeah it gets very questionable by the end with Takeoff, MIA, Bad Bunny, Cardi B... no one in their right mind is bringing them up in the all-time conversation. I think Takeoff, as well as Juice WRLD and probably a couple of others are mostly on this list because they died young, not because of their bodies of work. And no Redman at all is insane work.
My personal top 10 would combine skill, accolades, longevity, consistency, popularity and cultural important and would include, in no particular order: Nas, Andre 3000, Kanye, Kendrick, Eminem, Wayne, Pac, Biggie, Jay and Mos Def. Very easy and predictable but I'm not just throwing bullshit like Nicki Minaj in there for the sake of excitement
