So you did...LOL

HBK has no business being anywhere near Bret, it's just a tease knowing we'll never see a match between the two.

^^^I agree also, and think I have eluded to the same sentiment. They will surely run this Vince angle fully before Bret and HD have any interaction.

@Airfixx: while I agree, Brets Biggest asset was clearly his wrestling ability, lets not forget that by 94, bret was as accomplished on the mic as most. He certainly had plenty to offer in way of an empassioned and heart felt, cena esc promo's. He could def do a job, plus the use of the fact.... He is Bret Hart.... would make it mighty interesting in a number of different ways/possibilities.

As for booking, Bret was involved in the busines from such an early age, it was fuckin embedded. But as for actual experience, he was one of the few Hart brothers who managed to draw in the later days of the stampede promotion. Although he never had the chance to really get behind it, due to other (More profitable) wrestling commitments.

He would certainly be a major asett for the booking team, with his wealth of knowledge, and commitment to 'realistic' wrestling.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't shitting Bret's eventual level of mic skills... But to just have him stood, as uncharismatic as he can be, talking in relatively long segments each week without any of his overt strengths to paper over some of the cracks isn't gonna be very entertaining in the long-run IMO....

Have you heard the guy's shoot I'views? ...So fucking monotone and boring!

LOL, I cant argue that. But it aint the same as being in the ring, in character. Let this angle play out. Get him doing a few promo's and working on his confidence, then give him the mic and let him do his thing. He can definately do it. It would give so many possibilities. It couldn't be any worse than Teddy Long and let us not forget, its Bret fucking Hart!!!!!

"Let us not forget, its Bret fucking Hart!!!!!"

LOL.... Fat chance! : P

...But seriously, rhetorically, what does that actually mean?

Ultimately, I'm not expecting things to be one big fail (Vince/Bret @ WM if intented should be cool) and certainly don't want them to be... I just don't think that Bret has as much to offer on-screen anymore as many (not just you by any means) think.

Re: Shoots.... I tried to watch the Hart Foundation one a while back and had to turn it off after 10/ 20mins... What shocked me though was that Anvil was even more painfully tedious than Bret!!!

The answer to this thread is in the very first post. Matt Striker without a doubt, this guy's talent is being wasted on commentary, if that's a such thing but with the need for a real, weekly GM on their main show Striker is the one they need. He can play heel or face easily, tremendous mic skills, and like mentioned an amazing knowledge of the sport itself. Striker or bust for me really.

Either JBL or Matt Striker. As said before, Striker would leave a huge gap in the commentary spot but the guys great on the mic. He's the GM in my btb. Which come to think of it, I still have to post the 1st show.

Dammit this is what Shane was for. But he's gone. I would have no problem with Striker or JBL but I would put money on Vickie Guerrero asa next GM. She has heat, she has GM experience. Why wouldn't she be the next GM
