Pokemon Platinum/Diamond/Pearl

Just picked up a DSi, Platinum and Diamond the other day. I'm playing Platinum and using Diamond as my "trade station" to evolve guys and stuff. Anyone else play?
One thing I've noticed a bit different from the older games.
-The starter Pokemon BLOW.
- You get into a battle just about every 2 steps.
-Combat is a little more challenging and all around more fun.

Currently I've got in my party

Gengar - Level 30
Prinplup - lvl 34
Staravia - lvl 32
Ponyta - lvl 29
Grotle - lvl 26

I'm currently trying to catch a Kadabra to save myself the trouble of leveling up an Abra...pain in the ass..

Also, there's no good electric Pokemon to be found in this fuckin game.

Catch a Shinx. Luxray is badass. Definitely a good electric Pokemon. The starter Pokemon have more weaknesses than previous generation starter Pokemon. Wait till you get Empoleon and Torterra they have some nice attacks.

I think I'm gonna do without an electric this time around... I notice there's not a whole lot of flying types this time around. Just evolved to Torterra.. pretty bad ass.
I've gotta train my Kadabra... need a good psychic.

I'll wait until the new Gold/Silver comes out and get that. My little brother has the Diamond/Pearl one (don't know which) I play that alittle bit every now and then.

Also, lol @ getting the penguin and the grass guy as the starter. Chimchar is the best out of the 3.

The last time I played, my pokemons in my main team are Infernape, Staraptor, Luxray, Pink Gastrodon, and Roserade. I really loved all the new evolutions and pre-evos of some old pokemons.

You need to catch Gible and train it till you get Garchomp.

The wild Pokemon really need to fuckin vary a little more. I feel like I've been fighting the same 4 guys the whole fucking game.
Also...WTF is up with Ghost types being so shitty in this game? I'm using Gengar and he sucks balls. He used to be bad ass in the old games. I'm about to trade and get an Alakazam and start using that.
