NoDQ.com > TNA > Spike TV dropping the TNA Impact replays
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/13/2010 at 10:35 PM

Following this past Thursday's surprisingly high ratings, the TNA Impact replay appears to be history as a new show is listed in the timeslot. Dixie Carter posted the following message on her Twitter page:

"TNA Impact will NOT re-air on Thursdays. If you can't watch LIVE Mondays 9-11pm ET on SPIKE, please DVR it. PLEASE RT"
I was counting on this so I can keep watching Raw without having to worry about missing any TNA :(

They are doing this specifically for that reason. They are trying to force you to choose one or the other.

God I hated having to switch back and forth. Lucky for us we have DJ. Ice lol

I bet WWE will bring out Austin first this week to counter Jeff Hardy/AJ's promo on iMPACT!

Which sucks for me. DVR my ass all I got is a VCR lol...on one TV.

To be honest, without DJ Ice and his quick uploads, I wouldn't be caught up with TNA.

As far as this whole Monday Night War thing that will continue, I might have to switch off each week. I enjoy watching both shows, and I don't feel like switching back and forth to see wtf is up on each show. I don't have a DVR either, because, I just don't need one. I don't watch much TV, and if I do I catch it the next day on casttv.com.

No one is going to watch TNA period. Austin just solidified that

You dont have to worry about tuning in to either one. The other show you dont watch just get it on youtube, it's downloaded their all the time.

It really is. I doubt that it will really start to pay off until after WrestleMania but I think it will eventually. Especially given WWE's track record of having a bit of a lull for a month or so after the big show.

It also depends on if the WWE plans on doing the draft again, like they do every year. The whole draft night Raw tends to pull a lot of viewers in. TNA has to compete and put on a great show that night if they want to win fans over.

I was certain I read something about the draft. It is for sure happening and I am thinking that they announced the date too...

Either way, yeah that is a night that generally draws a few more people in but other than that WWE usually does their WM rematches which tbh is usually a pretty uninteresting time of the year.

The night after Wrestlemania, whether the outcome is good or bad, is the night TNA needs to put on their best show. If they can have at least half of WWE's ratings the night after WM, they are solid. If they win the outright fan's vote, they got their chance on having a good outlook for a few months to come. Beating out the WWE on the night after their biggest showing is rare, if they can pull it off, TNA will be showing true colors in their business... especially moving in the right direction.

That is just wishful thinking. The night after WM is one of their biggest nights if I am not mistaken. All the people who didn't watch the PPV the night before will be watching Raw more or less.

TNA could dig up and reanimate the corpse of Eddie Guerrero and they still wouldn't out draw WWE that night.

I watch Spartacus: Blood and Sand, which is sex and violence. I don't miss much in the first hour of either show anyways. Plus TheScore (the network that airs RAW) has replays.
