Morrison's old buddy set to come back?

Pro Wrestling Insider reports that former WWE Tag Team champion Joey Mercury is set to return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Mercury and John Morrison won the WWE Tag Team titles as "MNM."

Mercury was released by WWE in March 2007.


I was thinking about Mercury like two weeks ago and I read he was retired so I was pretty pissed. Currently Morrison isn't doing anything he just lost his feud to McIntyre so hopefully we can see these guys feud. All though Morrison has separated himself from his Nitro days so maybe it will be a fresh start for Mercury.

Yeah that was seriously one of the more brutal injuries I've seen happen. Could you image if that happened now? They glue shut tiny cuts on the forehead...they'd have to shut the whole fucking PPV down..lol.

Wouldn't putting this team together again make JOMO lose his steam? I think they will do one tag match upvs hart dysnaty and then Mercury turns on Jomo.

Yeah I agree with LKP, in WWE tag teams normally hurt single midcarders more than it helps.

It's one thing from starting as a team then going single (Morrision, Ryder, Jeff Hardy) but it normally hurts a singles guy to go back to a team. Only guy I can think of that it has helped is DH Smith.

I can see Joey Mercury reuturing wearing the old fur coats and stuff feuding with John Morrison. I really hope they don't start tag teaming again, it would bring John Morrison down quite a bit. I don't see Joey Mercury going past mid-card at all. He might have one run as US or IC champion.
