Wait I just saw it was announced on the show that the next PPV Would be "WrestleMania Backlash" Not just "Backlash" why, was that not implied enough alreadY?

Wrestling Isn't Wrestling is such a great mini documentary.

And when people say they don't watch wrestling for the wrestling they mean just to see guys tumble in the ring. Pro wrestling just like the film industry is about telling stories with compelling characters. So saying you don't watch wrestling for the wrestling is more like saying you don't watch movies for the stunt work.

If that's the Wrestling Isn't Wrestling one, yeah. It's awesome. Chloe Dykstra plays a female Hunter so well. Her facials are great.

I do understand that, but I think it'd be pointless for me to watch without good matches. I guess I am a bit of a workrate person. I could find plenty of better entertainment in the form of drama shows or what have you. The storylines and characters aren't that great these days.

I think a lot of "workrate" matches also tell amazing stories but them I'm told they're just spotfests or something

For example, I can't really think of any really great WrestleMania storylines from this year. I was mostly watching for the match-ups. I would say The Fiend was the match that focused most on a story, and it was terrible lol

I do think WWE is not as good because the matches don't have heat to them really or any big interest. That is the downside to only have good matches and nothing else.

I think the in-ring stuff and the segments should work in perfect synchronicity in an ideal situation. Which is why AEW is currently my favorite product. They have well laid storylines, great matches, and characters you can latch on to because they feel mostly authentic, or are at least over the top to the point of being likeable.

Oh I think the Bryan/Reigns/Edge has been one of the best feuds WWE has done in years, I was hype af for SmackDown the last couple months bc of it
