I haven't played either because I play Xbox 360. But if it helps LittleBigPlanet 1 got Rated 95% and Number 2 got rated 91%. So both are rated very good games.

Basically... I'd suggest buying number 1 first. Because it would be less pricey... Actually I think psn subscribers can download it free this month.
