It's a shame it didn't have the same atmosphere as the first two games but at least we're getting their remakes soon.
I know this exists. Played it. It came out in 2016. I was referring to a 3rd game. Also I recall this one kinda faltering.
I was wondering how this was. I loved the 1/2 remake and soured on the time limit career mode in 4. Also the real worst thing was the complete gutting of the soundtrack. Of the like 60 songs combined from the OG 3 and 4 only like 10 made the cut in the remake.
These games are great fun but it is a bit disappointing how they basically gutted the career mode from Pro Skater 4 and made it very basic with the time-limited goals. A lot of people (myself included) were happy when they got rid of that and allowed you to freely roam the levels and do everything at your own pace. I suppose that's the cost with both games being remade together at the same time. Thankfully I was aware of this beforehand otherwise it might have soured me a bit on playing this. I also have the originals in emulators so it's not a deal breaker.
Everything else is great though. The graphics are gorgeous and I love how they've faithfully recreated the levels but made them look absolutely incredible.
It feels like a fusion between 3 and 4 which I like as those are my top favourite Battlefield games. I would have to play the full game to give a more informed opinion, but it does seem like it has potential to be a very good entry in to the series. I much prefer the Modern setting games as the weapon variety tends to be better, the weapons are a big reason why I lost interest in Battlefield 1 for example, as they were restricted by the era.
