Bash at the Beach and Halloween Havoc actually draw more than Starrcade outside 1997 and 1998. 1997 you had the year-long build with Sting. You even look at this show and you have DDP with Goldberg, Hogan with Warrior, Bret with Sting and Hall with Nash and doesn't draw what Starrcade does this year. I do think DDP and Goldberg rematch draws a decent number, but the fans were behind Nash. His pops were starting to get louder than Goldberg's in some markets and Nash was being built like the first true challenge to to the streak. I do believe this match, specifically is what got them the buy they did. I would not have been disappointed with a DDP rematch, though.Hoss Delgado said:I mean I'm exaggeratingBut you definitely could have put a few different people in that match and drawn huge. Starrcades 96-98 all rank among WCW's best buy rates. The business was on fire. WCW had plenty of hot acts.
