What did/do you guys think of Gregory Helms? I have been a Fan since WCW and always wanted him to get some good exposure, anyway so awhile back it looked like he may of been heading into a US title hunt and now, nothing.... what do you think happend? and would you like to see him as a mid-carder champion? or are you glad he is not in the title picture?.

He had his prime on Raw with his segments with the Rock. His run with Rosey was decent at best. His Cruiserweight title reign was pretty cool and had a great feud with Matt Hardy. Ever since he returned he hasn't done anything really. I would have thought a couple months ago that he would have been a lock for MITB along with Kendrick, but both SD'ers got shut out of Mania. Now that Shelton is no longer champ a face Helms cannot go after a face MVP for US gold. As of now I don't see Helms moving anywhere.

Helms works pretty well as a mid-card heel or in a comic role as proven with the whole Hurrican gimmick. There's really not a whole lot for him to do right now. WWE basically shut him out... if we was going to make an impact then a US title run captured off Shelton would have been the way to do it. They hinted at it for quite a few weeks and then simply dropped it like nothing happened.
Helms needs some mic time, he's at his best doing the comedy role. Right now he's at a stand still til Mania is over. Maybe a US Title tournament, get some flavor back into the title.

He is injured again. I think he came back a bit early but even if he was fit would he be on smackdown now? I think not do you?

I always liked him. Is he great? No, but I think he can put on some solid matches. I would've liked to see him in one of the MITB matches over the past few years. I think the fact that there is no Cruiserweight championship has fucked him over, though.
