He also permanently settled the number of days for each month, invented the leap year, and forced the calendar to be autonomous, without the need for change (outside of the minor change made in the 16th Century). He completely removed the idea of the Romans using a Lunar calendar and changed it to a Solar one, which made a huge difference.
