Well idk if the companies themselves are necessarily doing anything wrong but some of the big indies are dying out this year and clearly the buzz for up and coming indie guys isn't anywhere close to what it traditionally has been for the last 20 years

That's fair. Makes sense that the buzz isn't there with bigger companies grabbing potential talent way earlier... at least it feels that way.

I don't fw the Spanish Fly unless it's the one where you use the running opponent's momentum to hit it. The Panama Sunrise disgusts me, literally never won one match with that shit. The Sol Snatcher now is just an atrocity.

Also just the way most wrestlers apply submissions that are neither applied correctly nor seem to be applying any pressure whatsoever. Hate to see that.

Cena's STFU is a great example. Just placing the arms in front of the face but visibly with no torque whatsoever.

Probably have a lot of smaller pet peeves... first thing that comes to mind right now is the big last second kickout, which was for the longest time always the same and I completely marked out when there was Roman Reigns out of all people made a perfectly timed, slow shoulder up in the last possible moment. Since then the talent had change it up more and more and I love that.

I still hate any time a wrestler thinks saying "....BITCH" at the end of their big promo is some kind of sweet mic drop moment. Okada has kinda reclaimed that one though and made it his own.

Oh yea, definitely... and it's even worse if you compare it to actually dangerous looking holds... like when Mox does the Bulldog Choke with his full body lying on the opponent

I know a lot of people think it's bad, but I personally think it works for Okada. He has the accolades and weight behind his name to pretty much keep his promos to a minimum with the bitch-zinger at the end.

I get that you gotta fluff it up a little but idk, certain wrestlers throughout time have made their submissions look very legit (and maybe they were unpleasant to take tbf) so for some folks to just kinda half-heartedly do the shit takes me out of it
