nah, that's a thing to laude them for but making faithful recreations of earlier time periods with great movies can be great too

No doubt, I think the thing with directors is theres no shot your going to stay niche if you are excellent at what you do

Scorsese and Tarantino are up there for me. John Carpenter is another one of my faves
