An Extreme rebooking that I'll do in parallel with my current WWF/E rebooking. Starting with 1993 and covering the supercards and PPVs. I plan on going beyond 2001, as if ECW avoided bankruptcy (we'll get to that part when we'll reach the bridge) so let's get started!

ECW Battle of the Belts

Date: January 23rd, 1993

Location: ECW Arena, Philadelphia, PA

Contrarily to the original story, ECW already sets itself apart from the National Wrestling Alliance, claiming their independence early in 1993 with Shane Douglas being the inaugural ECW World Heavyweight Champion. In the main event of this first ECW big card, The Franchise defends against Tri-State stalwart Sabu!

"The Philadelphia Phenom" Johnny Hotbody vs. The Sandman



A brutal brawl with multiple chair shots and hardcore spots.

The Sandman wins after a Singapore Cane-assisted DDT.

2. Tag Team Match:

The Eliminators (Jason & Perry Saturn) vs. The Bad Crew (Don E. Allen & Tony Stetson)



Fast-paced with high-flying maneuvers.

Eliminators secure the victory with a Total Elimination on Allen.

Gilbert wins after interference from Kevin Sullivan.

Cactus Jack pulls off a thunderous Double-Arm DDT on Super Destroyer for the win.

Shane Douglas (c) vs. Sabu



An explosive match featuring high-risk spots and weaponry.

Sabu nearly pins Douglas with a triple jump moonsault, but Douglas retains after interference from the Triple Threat (Kevin Sullivan & The Tazmaniac).

Post-match, Douglas and Sullivan attack Sabu, cementing their alliance.

Date: September 18, 1993

Location: ECW Arena, Philadelphia, PA


Shane Douglas quickly regains the ECW title from Tommy Dreamer during the summer of 1993 but a Cruiserweight title is briefly introduced in ECW with Shane Douglas winning it as well, making him a double champion. For UltraClash, Douglas pulls double duty defending that title against 2 Cold Scorpio but also defending the ECW World title against Terry Funk in the co-main event. That show is headlined by a Cage match between Public Enemy and the Heavenly Bodies.

Result: Rick Rude claims victory after a Rusty Rude, with interference from Steve Austin, who comes down to distract Steiner.



5. ECW Heavyweight Championship Match

Shane Douglas (c) vs. Terry Funk

Result: Douglas retains in a grueling match, pinning Funk after a belly-to-belly suplex. The match is marked by intense brawling and blood, highlighting the brutal style of ECW.



Main Event

6. UltraClash Main Event - Steel Cage Match

The Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge & Rocco Rock) vs. The Heavenly Bodies (Tom Prichard & Jimmy Del Ray)



stipulation: The first team to escape the cage wins.

Result: The Public Enemy escapes the cage first, with Rocco Rock climbing out while Johnny Grunge holds off the Bodies. The crowd erupts as PE celebrate their victory, setting the stage for their rising dominance in ECW.

Attendance: 1,200 fans filled the ECW Arena

Attendance: 1,300 fans, with even more energy and chaos

The Pitbulls (Pitbull #1 & #2) vs. The Samoan Swat Team

An all-out brawl with steel chairs, trash cans, and tables. The Pitbulls come out on top after a double powerbomb through a table.



3. Special Match — "Blood & Guts" Challenge:

The Sandman vs. Raven

A brutal street fight with barbed wire, broken glass, and a beer-soaked brawl. Raven wins with a DDT onto a bed of thumbtacks.



4. Women's Match:

Miss Peaches vs. Luna Vachon

A hard-hitting, chaotic match showcasing women's wrestling grit. Luna Vachon picks up the victory with a moonsault.



5. Main Event — ECW Championship Match:

Shane Douglas (champion) vs. Terry Funk

An epic battle featuring chair shots, blood, and weaponry. Shane Douglas retains the title after a Pittsburgh Plunge onto a pile of chairs.

ECW Terror at Tabor

November 12th, 1993

Tabor High School Gymnasium, Tabor, Pennsylvania

Paul E. Dangerously manages to pull off quite the coup by convincing Ric Flair to join ECW for a few months after leaving the WWF. Flair raises the ire of the ECW faithful by winning the ECW title from Shane Douglas and the fanbase must now rely on newcomer Raven (formerly Scotty Flamingo in WCW) to bring the title back home.

Pre-Show Match:

"The Tabor Rumble" – 10-Man Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal



Participants: Tommy Dreamer, Jason, Louie Spicolli, The Sandman, Don E. Allen, Beulah McGillicutty, 911, The Pitbulls, and local fan favorites.

Winner: Tommy Dreamer earns a shot at the ECW Heavyweight Championship.

Main Card

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge & Rocco Rock) vs. Taz & Sabu

Duration: 8 minutes

Result: Johnny Hotrod pins Ricky Vega after a double-team maneuver, bringing high-energy to kick off the night.

The Sandman captures the ECW title after November to Remember and takes on Taz in the main event of the show. Both are pulling double duty since Taz teams with Don Muraco against Johnny Hotbody & Tony Stetson in a tag match while Sandman battles "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert in a non-title match earlier in the show.

Tommy Dreamer beat Jason Knight

A gritty battle to kick off the evening, showcasing the heart and resilience of ECW's new generation.

A brutal, high-flying encounter filled with chair shots, suplexes, and submission holds. Taz's intense ground game was challenged by Sabu’s reckless high-flying offense. The match ended controversially when Taz used a Tazmission on a chair, forcing Sabu to tap out.

4. Hardcore Match: Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven

A deeply personal rivalry culminates in this no-holds-barred fight. The ECW Arena was littered with chairs, tables, and barbed wire as both men bled and battled. Dreamer finally hit Raven with a DDT onto a pile of thumbtacks to secure the victory.

Result: Tommy Dreamer wins



5. Women's Match: Miss Peaches vs. Lou Ann Brody

A surprisingly intense contest, with both women exchanging hard shots and quick pins. Miss Peaches emerged victorious after a brutal powerbomb.

6. Main Event: The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer vs. The Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge & Rocco Rock)

A chaotic main event featuring interference, weapons, and high spots. The Public Enemy seemed poised to win until Sandman and Dreamer used their hardcore tactics, culminating in Sandman hitting the "White Russian Legsweep" on Rocco Rock through a table.

ECW - When Worlds Collide

May 14, 1994

Location: ECW Arena, Philadelphia, PA

Tommy Dreamer captures the ECW title and defends it against Raven in the main event. Raven pulls double duty, teaming up with Stevie Richards to take on the newly-signed Gangstas. The Sandman also pulls double duty, facing Johnny Hotbody first before taking on Sabu later. Another unexpected face shows up for the show as women's wrestling veteran Judy Martin works the show to take on Miss Peaches.

Taz defeats Shane Douglas shortly after Hostile City Showdown to capture the ECW World title for the first time and defends against Raven. Public Enemy are set to defend the ECW Tag titles against Brian & Brad Armstrong

Elsewhere: The Sandman battles legendary hardcore icon and Sabu's uncle, The Sheik; Raven steps in to replace Rocco Rock with Johnny Grunge against the Bruise Brothers; Johnny Hotbody battles Jason Knight

Shane Douglas' reign as ECW Champion is short-lived as Sandman regains his title and is set to defend in the main event of November to Remember against Raven while Douglas must now cross paths with former WCW World Champion Ron Simmons. Also on the card: Miss Peaches battles 20-year old rookie and protégé of Leilani Kai, Amber O'Neal; Sabu battles the Tazmaniac; The Public Enemy take on The Pitbulls and Tommy Cairo battles 2 Cold Scorpio
