Ground Rules

- Have fun and stay calm. I'm trying to create a Mafia game without toxicity, so I expect players to follow the same. Insulting your fellow players is not a good thing.
- Anything game-related goes in this thread (or in communications with the host). Do not discuss anything game-related outside the game, for any reason.
- You must not directly quote or screenshot your role PM. You must not directly use the wording in your role PM.
- Remain active. I don't expect absolute domination of your life, but if you're being outposted by the host, something is wrong.
- Day will last a maximum of 24 hours or until such a time as the majority of alive players are voting for one player.
- There is no posting during Night phase in this game.
- If you want to vote, it must be bolded (e.g. Vote Sky) or it will not count.
- After you are dead, you may not interact with the game in any way, including by likes/reactions. You will be given a dead people's chat. Do not share this chat with anyone.
- Do not attempt to break the game, or to solve by means not intended by the host.
- Put simply, Mafia is a game where an uninformed majority (called the Town) try to identify and vote out an informed minority (called the Mafia). This means the Mafia know who else is Mafia, but the Town don't know who else is Town. The Mafia is trying to stop Town from voting them out by killing members of the Town.
- There are two basic phases: Day and Night. After a Night finishes, the next Day begins, and so on until the end.
- Day is when the discussion happens. Everyone gets together in the thread, and has some time to debate, and vote who they think is Mafia. If you wish to vote, you must put it in bold (e.g. Vote Sky).
- If someone reaches a majority of the vote, they are eliminated and become dead (this is traditionally called the "lynch", but some communities dislike this term due to its racial history, honestly it's whatever to me if you want to use it or not).
- During Night, no discussion happens in the thread. Mafia will choose between them a player to kill. The chosen player will die on that Night.
- Some players have special roles, which allow them to perform a certain action, usually at Night.
- Players' true identities will be revealed after they die (the "flip").
- Mafia will have a separate chat that they can use at any time, even at Night.
