Don't Call It a Comeback! Mafia '26 (Game Thread)

Well, that was fun, wasn't it? This was meant to be less of a grand balanced back-and-forth game, and more of a demonstration of how the structure of Mafia and its many intricacies is supposed to work. It was a quick one, and it ended with a scum endgame victory, but so much could have changed. One of the lessons to be learned is that working for the greater good is better than sticking to your guns, even if you are right. Two players had the opportunity to hammer an info'd scum Jean and didn't take it, which came back to bite them. Still, genuinely good threadplay from everyone involved.

You can't really do an MVP here since @Comrade Khan and @Brett both contributed well to the win in-thread, though I'd actually give it to Brett because he was the first one to mention the plan that paid off.

If somehow Booty votes Chris, we hard stack Chris and then kill Blaze and holy fuck man that shit would be legendary

No one should really be ashamed of themselves though.

One thing I think new players will begin to learn is that pragmatism is sometimes a better virtue than sticking to your gut. If someone is copped scum, the pragmatic thing is to vote them out and worry about others later. Both Jeff and Brett being scum wasn't an issue but sometimes an order of elimination is better than vibes lol

I was horrified at 11:59 am when I hadn’t talked to Jean in an hour, he was super hungover and I was constantly assuring him we could pull it off. He was nervous this morning but by 10 am I was like fuck it we got this and my boy set the alarm and made sure he sent that in. I had to wait for him to go first tho in case he didn’t wake up and I get burned
