Does this guy have any hope being a successful singles guy once again? I remember back in the day, he looked to have a good future. I hate to say it, but it really was going to Raw that ruined him. Like so many others, he was rushed to Raw, and they had nothing for him, and now, he's where he is now. He's almsot quit multiple times, almost been fired once or twice, and had virtually no meaningful storylines.
I'm not really complaining, because as a tag team, him and Primo are pretty good, and if they stick for a while, they can be a pretty good team, and bring some good matches to the tag division. But the guy still have all the tools he had before... Do you think the ship has sailed on his singles career?

i sure hope so. i really liked this guy its just that everything came early to him his first match he won a Us title. but i dont think his world title push is comming pretty soon knowing that he one half of the unified tag champs and hes basically helping out his brother.

I think you've got it the wrong way. From what I heard they put Carlito with Primo because they thought Primo would be a good influence on him. Carlito's got a rep for being lazy apparently while is brother is pretty driven.
Anyway, Carlito could have been a great upper mid-card to main event filler heel by now if he was utalized right. I honestly don't blame him for getting frustrated and becoming lazy. He was pushed like crazy for a while then just died out once being paired with Masters over on RAW.

I'm not sure what you consider "successful" singles career, but if you mean be a big time main event guy, then absolutely not. Even a solid mid card run seems unrealistic at this point, but you never know.

As far as why he's in the spot he's in right now, I put the blame squarely on Carlito. He got a great push when he came into the WWE for the first few years, but he never showed any signs of improvement. There is no doubt in my mind that the WWE had hopes of him being a legit main eventer by now, but he didn't put the work in to improve enough. Take a look at guys that have become main eventers over the last few years. John Cena, Batista, Edge, Orton and Jeff Hardy. Go back and look at their performance 4-5 years ago, and look at their performance today. It's like night and day. Just like Carlito, they all had great potential, but they actually put in the work and did something with that potential, and the results speak for themselves. Now why Carlito hasn't improved is up in the air. It's possible that he believed his skills were greater than what they truly were, so he didn't think he needed to put the effort in. Maybe he's just not all that motivated and was content on being a mid card guy. Although listening to reports about him being upset over how he has been used, I am leaning more towards option number 1.

I like the spot he's in right now though. While I feel he had the potential to do a lot more in this business, it's nice to see a real tag team for once. Despite Miz and Morrison being a solid team and being over with the fans, I know for myself I never seen them as a true tag team. We all knew that they were future singles stars just thrown together for a while, so I could never truly get behind them. With Carlito and Primo being brothers, I buy them as a real team that truly cares about the titles. If they could get a few opponents, I think they could really help revive the tag division at least a little bit.

^Once again back to one of my least favorite things....odd couple or thrown together tag teams. They never seem like a unit...IE Mizorrison used Morrison's music and Tron and everything...

^Well, Carlito and Primo are at least brothers. They aren't really thrown together. And NBT, I meant either a big name (totally unrealistic) or even a decent midcard career, but for the same reasons you listed, I'm really doubting it.

^Well yeah, that's what I'm saying...they actually seem like a real tag team.
