Thanks for the predictions, BT and roy. Full show in all it's glory here. Admittedly not the most exciting show in the world, but it was on the calendar and I needed to get through it. Some of these partnership shows are hard to book when I'm trying to avoid to many cross over storylines, because I don't want to start having to book CMLL as well lol. Good thing is this show at least planted some seeds so for future events, I have some stuff to work with. But apologies in advance if this is maybe a little duller than usual.

CMLL Vs. AEW/ROH
June 17th, 2025

ROH Womens Championship Match:
Athena vs. Persephone

Despite having chosen this opponent, Athena is a little tentative in the early stages, as Persephone looks as focused and intense as ever. After getting heckled from the crowd and encouraged by the referee, Athena stops stalling and locks up with Persephone. They jostle for position for only a moment or two, with the strength advantage being rather obvious right off the bat. Persephone manages to back Athena into the corner, really asserting her dominance.

The referee gets in between the two women, calling for a clean break and Persephone obliges. A mix of irritation and desperation comes over Athena’s face, as she barks at the referee, “DO YOUR JOB, SHE PULLED MY HAIR”. The referee double checks with Persephone, who denies any such action, so the ROH champion storms to the centre of the ring. Athena shoves Persephone hard in the chest, mouthing off as she does.

But Persephone isn’t in the mood for a shoving contest and instead responds with a punch to the face. One shot is all it takes for Athena to drop to the canvas. Looking dazed, Athena remains down and rolls underneath the bottom rope and to the outside. She receives plenty of heat from the fans as she looks for a breather, holding her jaw the entire time.

As she walks around ringside, mulling over her strategy, Athena starts snapping at the restless fans. Insults are traded, until Athena find a desperate looking male in the crowd, offering her cheek. She tells him to kiss her cheek better, but when he leans over the barricade to do so, Athena cocks her fist. She threatens to hit the guy instead, and he shits himself, falling to the floor.

Athena laughs at the pathetic fan, and puts her arms out wide, basking in her own glory… BEFORE GETTING WIPED OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE FROM PERSEPHONE!!!

Persephone decided she was done waiting and has made a huge impact on the champion. With Athena remaining down, to a HUGE ovation from the fans, Persephone leans over the barricade and helps the embarrassed fan to his feet. Persephone doesn’t offer no kiss on the cheek, but she does share a fist bump with the fan.

Now the audience is well and truly behind Persephone, as she drags Athena up with ease, and rolls her back inside the ring. Athena remains on her back in the centre of the ring, as Persephone hops onto the apron… SPRINGBOARD FROG SPLASH!!!

NO!!! ATHENA GETS HER KNEES UP!!!

Almost on instinct, Persephone bounces back to her feet, but she hobbles around, holding her mid-section. This allows Athena to hurry back to her feet, and the champ runs through her challenger with a stiff Clothesline. ATHENA MAKES THE COVER…

PERSEPHONE KICKS OUT!!!

Whilst the match continues, Athena now has her strategy, as she keeps the powerhouse grounded. Athena focuses on the ribs and midsection of Persephone, ensuring all her offense hurts those areas. Being the champ and having heaps of big match experience, Athena isn’t in a rush. Instead she slowly and methodically wears down her opponent with various holds and strikes.

As the brutal punishment from Athena continues, she lifts Persephone up and connects with a Gut Buster! Rather than let Persephone go though, Athena holds her in position, draping Persephone’s stomach across her knee. With Persephone dangling precariously, Athena maintains hold of her, driving her into Athena’s knee with more pressure.

The fans really start to rally behind Persephone, slow clap and all, and she begins to feed off the insane crowd energy. Persephone is able to use brute strength to push herself free, before she gets to her feet. Athena is quick to meet her with a kick to the gut. Persephone bends down to cover her mid-section, and as Athena goes to grab her, Persephone explodes with some hard elbows to the ribs of Athena.

After accusing Persephone earlier, Athena now grabs Persephone by the hair and sends her into the ropes, but Persephone immediately hits back with a Diving Forearm! Feeling the energy from the crowd, Persephone pushes through the pain, mounting Athena and just laying into her with brutal rights and lefts. All Athena can do is cover up, as Persephone is relent with her attack, like a Charlotte Flair divorce lawyer.

Once she feels like she’s inflicted enough damage, and after the referee forces her to break, Persephone finally stops. She quickly drags Athena back to her feet, only to nail a kick to the gut… FOLLOWED BY THE FLATLINER!!!

ATHENA JUST ROLLS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT!!!

The challenger runs her hand through her hair, agonisingly close to becoming the new ROH Champion right there. Not to be deterred, Persephone gets up, and once again drags Athena up, only to slam her back down to the mat with a Scoop Slam. Persephone hurriedly steps out to the apron, ascending to the top rope… THINKING A MORE TRADITIONAL FROG SPLASH THIS TIME!!!

NO!!! ATHENA KICKS THE REFEREE INTO THE ROPES…

THEREBY CROTCHING PERSEPHONE ON THE TOP ROPE!!!

The referee goes ballistic at Athena, threatening to disqualify her. Of course, the champ puts her hands up, proclaiming innocence and that it was a mistake. It’s clear the referee doesn’t trust Athena, but he also doesn’t want this match to end in a disqualification, so he makes the judgment call and allows the match to continue.

Athena heads to the corner and lands a few quick, stinging right hands, keeping Persephone at bay. Athena then climbs up after her and gets herself in position to show off her own strength, lifting Persephone into the air… AND LEAPING OFF THE TOP… WITH A SITOUT SCOOP SLAM PILEDRIVER OFF THE TOP ROPE!!!

Holy shit! Even though she’s a heel, the fans can’t help but show their appreciation for the epic move. After taking a few moments to recuperate, ATHENA DRAPES AN ARM OVER THE CHEST OF PERSEPHONE…

WINNER: ATHENA VIA PINFALL at 9:37.

It's a sense of relief more than anything that washes over the face of Athena once the ring bell chimes. Athena battles back to her feet, only to snatch the ROH Title off the referee and raise it high in the air.

Whilst she’s appreciated, there is still a lot of heat from the crowd, but Athena could care less. Meanwhile, we get a quick glimpse at the ultra-tough challenger, who disappointedly leaves, ready to fight another day.

Athena continues to celebrate though, reminding the Mexican crowd that she is the “FOREVER CHAMPION” …

Champions vs. Champions Match:
Angel De Oro and Niebla Roja (c) vs. The Sons Of Texas (c)

They may be fan favourites in ROH and in the US of A, but tonight, The Sons Of Texas are caught in a somewhat hostile environment. The Mexican fans are right behind their local tag team champions, which is creating quite the dynamic atmosphere. With the fans behind them, Angel and Roja both charge at Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, looking to capitalise on the wave of momentum.

Both men start off by landing punches and kicks on their slower opponents, keeping them off balance. After a particularly hard kick to the head from Angel, Rhodes crumbles to the canvas, allowing Angel and Roja to now focus on Sammy. This allows the exciting team to isolate Guevera on their side of the ring, bouncing off the ropes with excitedly quick punch and kick combinations.

As things settle down, Roja heads to the apron, leaving only Angel and Sammy in the ring. Angel maintains the advantage before bouncing off the ropes… BUT RHODES PUTS A KNEE RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF ANGEL!!!

The fans boo loudly, and Rhodes embraces the reaction, happy to play into it. Rhodes looks happy with himself on the apron, slapping his chest, as Angel drops to one knee. Furious, Roja steps back in and sprints across the ring… A BACKFLIP DOUBLE HEEL KICK OFF HIS OWN PARTNER KNOCKS RHODES CLEAN OFF THE APRON!!!

The epic move gets a big time cheer from the Mexico locals. Having recovered, Guevara is frustrated at what just happened to his team member, so Sammy charges at Angel… BUT ANGEL DUCKS UNDER… AND BACK BODY DROPS GUEVARA OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

AND GUEVARA LANDS ON TOP OF RHODES… TAKING HIM BACK DOWN!!!

THE SONS OF TEXAS ARE IN TROUBLE EARLY!!!

Once the action gets back inside the squared circle, Roja receives a tag from Angel, whilst Rhodes desperately tags himself in. A furious Rhodes looks to corner Roja, but Roja avoids his lunge, and Rhodes ends up with his back against the turnbuckles. Using his quickness, Roja is able to just start peppering Rhodes with hard body kicks in the corner.

When the referee calls for the break, Roja takes a few steps back. Roja stalks Rhodes, before bouncing off the ropes to build up some speed… BUT SAMMY REACHES OUT TO TRY AND GRAB HIM!!!

Roja breaks free of Sammy’s grip but isn’t happy and tees off with a right hand. Guevara desperately holds onto the top rope to remain on the ring apron, so Roja lands some more shots, leaving himself open for Rhodes to run and clobber him from behind. This allowed the ROH Tag Team Champions to isolate Roja now, really seemingly falling into this heel role nicely.

Based on being the slower of the two tandems, most the offense is slow and grinding, focusing in on the head and neck of Roja. As the beating continues, we end up in a position where Guevara and Roja are the legal men. Sammy is running the show, landing big knees and kicks at will. Guevara is very cocky here, dropping Roja with another kick, before performing wild, out of character karate gestures.

The youngster of the team tags Rhodes back in, who is more no nonsense. Dustin immediately drags Roja up and drills him with a Vertical Suplex! Rather than going for the cover, Rhodes slowly brings Roja back up and sends him into a neutral corner. Rhodes then tags Sammy back in, who comes in and charges after Roja… No! Roja gets his boot up, right in the jaw of the oncoming Guevara.

Sammy is rocked by the shot, as he stumbles backwards… ALLOWING ROJA TO RUN AND CONNECT WITH THE SECOND BACKFLIP DOUBLE HEEL KICK OF THE MATCH!!!

Much like the first one, this one did its job, although dropping Sammy as opposed to Rhodes. With the fans urging him on, an exhausted Roja crawls towards his CMLL corner, and makes the hot tag to Angel. Fresh as a daisy, Angel comes in and starts running through Guevara with Clotheslines and big punches. Angel really makes the most of his stamina advantage here, until Rhodes realises he needs to intervene.

Dustin steps in illegally, and charges towards Angel… WALKING RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK!!!

Somehow, Rhodes sways but uses the ropes to stay on his feet. Rhodes leans on the ropes for support, before trying to bounce back, but Roja intervenes… SHOTGUN DROPKICK SENDS RHODES CRASHING INTO THE CORNER!!!

With Rhodes trapped in the corner, Angel charges after him showing his teams epic coordination… CORNER CLOTHESLINE!!!

Getting back to his feet in the opposite corner, Sammy charges out, face full of fury, but Roja intercepts with a kick to the gut… FOLLOWED BY THE CRISTO FACEBUSTER!!!

Sammy looks out of it now so Roja stands guard, making sure Rhodes can’t intervene. Meanwhile, Angel heads high up to the top rope… MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP CONNECTS!!!

RHODES CHARGES AND TACKLES ROJA… CAUSING BOTH MEN TO TUMBLE TO THE CANVAS AND BREAK UP THE COUNT!!!

Roja is furious as he scrambles to his feet and begins kicking at Rhodes, making him pay for breaking up the count. Roja doesn’t stop kicking, eventually causing Rhodes to back against the ropes, and with seamless teamwork, Roja relents at the last second… TO ALLOW ANGEL TO RUN AND CLOTHESLINE RHODES OVER THE TOP AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

Inside of the ring, Guevara battles to his feet, still stunned, when Roja leaps to the ropes… SPRINGBOARD ENZUIGURI!!!

Roja stands guard once again, looking to prevent Rhodes from getting back in the ring. On the other hand, Angel this time LANDS A SPRINGBOARD CARTHWEEL INTO A MOONSAULT!!!

WINNERS: ANGEL DE ORO AND NIEBLA ROJA VIA PINFALL at 13:54.

The arena is ROCKING with that result, as the CMLL champs hug in the ring, enjoying the tremendous crowd reception. On the outside of the ring, Rhodes looks frustrated, whilst Sammy still hasn’t quite collected himself.

Still, this moment is about the CMLL champions, who deserve to celebrate, having proved themselves to be the champions of all champions tonight…

Singles Match:
AR Fox vs. Neon

Both men shared a handshake to start this one off, clearly a level of respect between the two. Since he’s appeared in CMLL numerous times, but is now an AEW/ROH guy, Fox gets ravaged by the fans. After taking a moment to adjust to the reaction, Fox is ready to go and the two tie up in the centre of the ring. Fox is faster than nearly everybody he faces, but Neon might be the exception, so Fox uses the strategy of taking things to the mat in the early stages.

He applies a really basic Side Headlock but uses fantastic leverage to keep Neon grounded. Neon is continuously squirming, refusing to lay still, but nobody how many reversals he attempts, Fox manages to keep the hold applied, or reapply it immediately. It’s clear that Fox is content to stay on the mat, but eventually Neon bridges his own body and slides out of the hold.

Fox leaps to his feet to meet a charging Neon, who immediately looks to quicken the pace. With a clever sidestep, Fox looks to apply the Side Headlock again, but this time, Neon is able to use both his hands to prevent Fox from locking it in. Then with one swift moment, Neon spins out and ends up slightly behind but to the side of Fox, allowing Neon to apply a Side Headlock of his own.

The fans applaud the technique from Neon, as Fox attempts to use brute strength to shove him away, but has no success. Feeling more comfortable on his feet, Neon keeps the Side Headlock applied but ensures both men remain standing. Getting frustrated with his inability to escape, Fox uses both hands to aggressively rip at the eye section of the mask of Neon.

The shrewd tactic causes Neon to let go of the Side Headlock, and stagger away. Arena Mexico lights up with heat for Fox, who clearly doesn’t care, already not having the fans on his side tonight anyway. Fox stomps on over to Neon and begins clubbing away at the back of his head and neck. With Neon dazed, Fox looks to send him bouncing off the ropes, however Neon reverses, sending Fox bouncing off the ropes instead. Upon Fox’s return from the ropes, Neon explodes with a big Dropkick!

The impact of the blow is quite severe, as Fox gets some whiplash on his terrible landing. Looking to regroup, Fox rolls underneath the bottom rope and to the outside, rubbing at his neck as he does so. Not wasting anytime, Neon runs across the ring… AND TAKES FOX DOWN WITH A NO HANDS PLANCHA!!!

A big time pop greets the first high risk move of the match. It resulted in an uncomfortable landing for both men though, as they both remain down on the floor. Eventually, Neon gets back to his feet, pointing at the appreciative fans, before slowly hoisting up Fox, and rolling him back inside of the ring.

Once Neon followed Fox into the ring, he hammers away with some right hands, backing Fox into the corner. Neon busts out a few chops to the chest, before climbing to the top rope. Neon starts going for the old ten punches in the corner spot, with the fans counting along excitedly… UNO…DOS…TRES…CUATRO…CINCO…SEIS…SIETE…OCHO…NUEVE…DIEZ!!!

The fans applaud loudly once again, as Neon climbs back down and backs towards the centre of the ring. A dazed Fox staggers forward, away from the corner… WHEN NEON LEAPS UP AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A HURRICANRANA!!!

Running on adrenaline, Fox bounces right back to his feet, but Neon is prepared and greets him with some more right hands. Neon then sends Fox bouncing off the ropes, ducking his head, but he ducks his head too soon, and Fox is able to hit a Swinging Neckbreaker! And with that the match changes completely, as this allows Fox to slow down the pace.

Not only that, but the earlier attack he did on the neck and back of the head plays dividends. Fox’s strategy is to continue to work on those areas, whilst somewhat out of character, but driven by the crowd reaction, he’s also happy to cheat whenever possible to maintain control. Fox keeps up the attack and heat period for a length of time, however Neon shows incredible resilience, straight refusing to stay down for a three count.

Fox is relentless though, continuing on the attack, eventually landing a few punches to the face, before sending Neon crashing into the corner. An aggressive Fox runs in after Neon, but Neon turns his body and raises his elbow, causing Fox to crash face first into his elbow. As Fox stumbles backwards, grabbing at his face, Neon jumps to the middle rope… SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY!!!

FOX KICKS OUT!!!

At an important junction of the match, both men scramble to their feet, but Neon is a little quicker, meeting Fox with a Calf Kick! This time both men remain down for a few moments, seemingly feeling all the punishment from the match so far. Both men slowly get to their feet, but there’s nothing slow about Neon once he gets back up, unleashing a frenzy of fast paced offence.

All Fox can do is absorb blows until he ends up on his back long enough for Neon to climb up to the top… MOONSAULT CONNECTS!!! Surprisingly, instead of going for the pin, after shaking off the impact to his stomach, Neon looks to head to the top rope again. Once perched in the air, Neon waits for Fox to get up… AND THEN LEAPS OFF THE TOP!!!

OH!!! AR FOX DROPKICKS NEON OUT OF MID AIR!!!

It’s an absolutely brutal landing for Neon, as Arena Mexico lets out a collective groan. Fox wastes no time though, dragging Neon up… BEFORE DRILLING HIM WITH A BIG DDT!!!

Fox can’t help but respectfully nod at the resilience of his opponent. Still, that doesn’t stop him from roughly bringing Neon to his feet and repeatedly punching him in the mouth. After backing the Mexican into the corner, Fox lifts Neon up, placing him in a seated position on the top rope. Fox lands a few LOUD overhand chops to the chest to keep Neon occupied, as Fox begins climbing up after him.

Neon explodes with some rapid fire kicks to the head though, stopping Fox from getting any further than the bottom rope. Fox is forced to back away after the kicks to the head, shaking out the cobwebs. This allows Neon to stand up on the top rope and leap off… MISSILE DROPKICK!!!

WINNER: NEON VIA PINFALL at 14:57.

That’s two in a row for the CMLL crew, bringing the score to 2-1 for those that are counting. After the hard fought encounter, Neon gets to his feet and climbs to the top rope.

He soaks in the ovation, enjoying one of the bigger wins of his career. Once Neon gets down, he’s met in the centre of the ring, and Fox simply offers his hand, and the two shake, showing tremendous sportsmanship.

This earns both men a round of applause, until Fox leaves the ring, allowing Neon to enjoy his moment in victory…

Eight Man Tag Team Match:
Averno, Euforia, Gran Guerrero and Ultimo Guerrero vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher) w/Don Callis

The last few matches between CMLL and AEW/ROH, there has been a level of respect between the competitors. That doesn’t exist here, as the Don Callis Family is out first, and then they attack their opponents before they finish their entrances and are ready to go. The dirty tactic to start things off automatically puts the heel in the box seat, as they have the pick of the bunch, choosing Euforia as the man they decide to isolate.

Kyle Fletcher gets in with Euforia and thoroughly enjoys himself, throwing him around the ring like a small child. Fletcher really has his way with Euforia for a long period of time, not even tagging out, just deciding to flex his dominance instead. With things relatively under control, Fletcher sits down on the back of Euforia, applying a Camel Clutch!

The Aussie applies tonnes of pressure to Euforia, talking plenty of trash as he does so. After some moments in the submission, Fletcher gives up on it, happy with the damage he’s inflicted, but knowing he wasn’t getting a submission. Instead, the cocky yet impressive Fletcher drags Euforia, and gives him a huge Hip Toss, sending him flying across the ring.

In complete control, FLETCHER GETS A LATERAL PRESS…

BOTH AVERNO AND GRAN GUERRERO COME IN AND BREAK UP THE COUNT AT THE SAME TIME!!!

To a nice pop from the crowd, Averno and Gran tee off on Fletcher with strikes, doing their best to buy time for their teammate. Fletcher just shrugs them off with brute strength, before running over to his own corner and tagging in Josh Alexander. As Fletcher leaves the ring, the referee works on ushering Averno and Gran from the ring.

This gives Alexander free travel to come in and begin stomping all over the already battered and beaten Euforia. As Alexander stomps away, he’s louder than normal as well, signalling for a belt around his waist before yelling, “I’M THE NEXT ROH CHAMPION”! The Mexican fans don’t agree, but Don Callis does, beaming and watching on proudly.

Alexander now methodically drags Euforia up, before raising him high in the air… ALEXANDER CONNECTS WITH A POWERBOMB INTO HIS OWN KNEE!!!

Groans of agony emanate from Euforia and the fans, AS ALEXANDER MAKES THE PIN…

THIS TIME ULTIMO GUERRERO COMES IN AND BREAKS UP THE COUNT!!!

Before Ultimo can escape the ring, the rest of the Don Callis Family get in and start beating on Ultimo. The babyface team look to even the sides, but conveniently, the referee sees this and opts to try and keep the faces from the ring. The CMLL fans in Arena Mexico are enraged, as the match continues in the dominant image of whatever the Don Callis Family want it to be.

Finally, after grinding down Euforia some more, Alexander tags in Takeshita, who gets a loud mixed reaction. Takeshita simple stands over Euforia, looking down on him with pity, and shrugging as if to ask is this the best CMLL have to offer. The Japanese wrestler takes his time, stalking Euforia, but when Euforia gets up… KONOSUKE GETS HIM UP FOR THE BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!!

NO!!! EUFORIA SPINS THROUGH…

BUT THEN HOLDS ONTO TAKESHITA AND WRAPS HIS LEGS AROUND HIM… APPLYING AN OCTOPUS HOLD!!!

Takeshita’s eyes go wide in shock, as Don Callis almost has a heart attack on the outside. Takeshita screams in panic, but he’s stuck in the centre of the ring… UNTIL FLETCHER AND HECHICERO RUN IN AND ATTACK EUFORIA TO BREAK UP THE HOLD!!!

This time the referee is in prime position to admonish the heels, forcing them back to their corner immediately. This leaves both Euforia and Takeshita recovering in the ring. Both men battle to their feet, and meet in the centre, where an embarrassed TAKESHITA SLAPS EUFORIA ACROSS THE FACE!!!

We can’t say Euforia’s facial expression, but he’s most likely pissed, AS HE RETALIATES WITH A PELE KICK!!! With Takeshita dazed and dropping to one knee, Euforia rolls across the canvas and dives forward, MAKING THE HOT TAG TO AVERNO!!!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, needing to tag out himself, Takeshita manages to tag Alexander back in. Being the fresh man, Averno goes to town on Alexnader with strikes, having plenty of success. Takeshita looks to get back in immediately, as does Hechicero, but Averno is building momentum, now virtually keeping all three men at bay at once.

Sensing further danger coming, Kyle Fletcher gets into the ring illegally to interrupt proceedings. Fletcher meets Averno in the centre of the ring, and Averno throws a right hand. Fletcher has it scouted and catches it, only for Averno to leap up in the air and stomp all over Fletcher’s toes.

The unexpected pain from Fletcher causes him to let go of Averno’s hands and allows Averno to tee off with elbows to the jaws of Fletcher. Realising that Averno is badly outnumbered, a slightly recovered Euforia and Ultimo Guerrero get in the ring and grab hold of Fletcher with Averno… All three men throw Fletcher over the top rope and to the outside.

Averno heads to the ropes and gets on his hands and knees. As he does, Ultimo Guerrero runs and uses Averno’s back as a stepping school to leap to the top rope… TURNING SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT TAKES OUT FLETCHER ON THE OUTSIDE!!!

Meanwhile, as this is happening, Josh Alexander has rolled out to the floor, looking to take a breather. As he staggers around ringside, Euforia notices him, and begins urging the crowd to get excited. Euforia now runs across the ring… FRONTFLIP SENTON!!!

NO!!! EUFORIA LANDS WITH A SPLAT…

AS ALEXANDER WAS ABLE TO STAGGER OUT OF THE FIRING LINE!!!

Back inside of the ring, Hechicero charges at Averno, but Averno sidesteps Hechicero and throws him through the ropes and to the outside as well. Averno now hurries over to his corner and makes the tag to Gran Guerrero, who was desperate to get involved in the action some more. As Guerrero gets in, Averno noticed Hechicero getting back to his feet, so Averno runs towards him… NO HANDED SUICIDE DIVE!!!

A big pop from the fans as this one has completely broken down now. Inside the ring, with chaos surrounding them, Takeshita is leaning against the corner turnbuckles, struggling to catch his breath. Gran Guerrero runs towards the same corner, connecting with a Corner Clothesline!

Takeshita walks out of the corner, reeling, so Gran kicks him in the gut… BEFORE HOISTING HIM UP FOR THE PUMP HANDLE CUTTER!!!

NO!!! TAKESHITA SWIVELS OUT BEHIND GUERRERO…

TAKESHITS LIFTS GRAN UP WITH EASE…

BLUE THUNDER BOMB CONNECTS!!!

The air drives out of the arena as everybody realises the match is basically over at this point. Instead of making the pin, Takeshita sees that Josh Alexander has jumped back onto the apron. Ever the team player, much to Don Callis’ delight, Takeshita tags Alexander in. With a snarl, Alexander approaches the downed Guerrero… AND LOCKS IN THE ANKLE LOCK!!!

Everybody begins murmuring excitedly in the stands, as Guerrero tries to fight it, but can’t. With no support due to everybody else being sprawled around ringside… GRAN GUERRERO IS FORCED TO TAP OUT TO THE ANKLE LOCK!!!

WINNERS: THE DON CALLS FAMILY VIA SUBMISSION at 14:54.

The fans aren’t happy, but the Don Calls Family were just too good for tonight. The quartet of wrestlers eventually meet in the ring, with Don Callis getting amongst them and enjoying the celebration.

Josh Alexander is pumped up especially, with Callis motioning to Alexander’s waist that a title is coming soon…

ROH World Championship Match:
Bandido (c) defends against Mascara Dorada

The crowd reaches a fever pitch as these two go face to face in the centre of the ring. Arena Mexico has a feeling of a classic about it, as both men shake hands before heading back to their respective corners. Unlike the other matches throughout the night, where the CMLL wrestlers have been favoured, there is a huge “BANDIDO” chant erupting to start this one.

On commentary, they take the opportunity to discuss just how popular Bandido has become worldwide. Shaking his head ever so slightly, potentially at the crowd reception, Dorada looks ready to go and the two lock up. There’s nothing fancy about the exchange as they jostle for position for a moment, before the champion snaps off an impressive Arm Drag.

Despite the move not doing that much damage, Dorada stays down, not wanting to lose his head and over commit in the early stages. In a show of respect, Bandido doesn’t press, allowing Dorada to get up at his own pace, and briefly shake out his arm. The two circle, ready to lock up again, but as Bandido steps forward, Dorada steps back, causing Bandido to attempt to lock up with air.

The champion shakes his head, bemused by the tactic, whilst Dorada points to his temple, indicating his intelligence. The fans aren’t an overly big fan of the stalling tactic either. On commentary, they talk about how Bandido seems so cool, calm and collected, like has the upper hand. Potentially that means Dorada is attempting some uncharacteristic mind games to level the playing field somewhat.

In what was expected to be a rather fast paced match, we’re off to a hell of a slow start thanks to the stalling of Dorada. When they finally do lock up again, there’s another jostle for position. Whilst Dorada is smart enough to not allow for another Arm Drag, he’s unable to contain the strength of Bandido. The ROH Champion simply continues to walk forward, backing Dorada up into the corner.

At the count of four, Bandido allows for the clean break, taking a few steps back and then flexing a bicep to a big pop from the fans. This time Dorada does get frustrated, stomping forward, building some momentum before locking up again. Bandido is like a brick wall though, able to absorb the initial pressure, and then back Dorada up into the same corner again.

Much like on the previous occasion, the referee’s count gets to four, and Bandido puts his hands up. As innocently as can be, Bandido looks for another clean break, when Dorada strikes with a cheap shot right hand out of nowhere. Boos are direction at Dorada, as the shocked Bandido staggers backwards, and now Dorada pounces, landing right hand after right hand on Bandido.

The challenger is letting out some aggression now, until Bandido blocks a right hand, and comes back with one of his own. The shot rocks Dorada and now it’s Bandido’s turn to tee off with right hands, followed by an extra hard right hand. The last blow sends Dorada crashing down to the canvas, and he immediately rolls underneath the bottom rope and to the outside of the ring.

It’s heckling galore at ringside as the fans didn’t expect and are really displeased with the stalling tactics of Dorada. He continues to ignore the fans and stall though, including leaping onto the apron twice to fake stepping back into the ring, but then dropping back down. As the heat gets louder, finally Bandido has had enough, and he sidesteps the referee and begins heading towards the ropes where Dorada is standing.

Before Bandido can plan his next move, Dorada trips him up, and then drags him by the legs to the corner of the ring. Bandido flails wildly, trying to escape, but he’s unable to do so… DORADA SLAMS BANDIDO’S KNEE OFF THE RING POST!!!

Due to the threatening of a disqualification from the ref, Dorada relinquishes his grip on the leg. The damage has been done though, as Bandido crawls back towards the centre of the ring, grabbing at his now hurt left leg. Obviously it’s not the time for stalling anymore, as Dorada returns to the ring, and immediately goes to work on the seemingly damaged left leg of Dorada.

This is where the heat period of the match kicks in as the next few minutes is purely focused with Dorada attacking the knee. He gets absolutely vicious at times, showing just what the hunt for a World Title can do to some people. After beating on the champion some more, Dorada locks in the La Tapatia, looking for the verbal submission.

Dorada shows that he’s no slouch in the strength department either, keeping Bandido up. The champion is the champion for a reason though, as he refuses to submit. Eventually, Dorada gives up on the hold, and then rolls Bandido onto his back, and steps over into a Figure Four Leg Lock! Unfortunately for Dorada, it only lasts a few seconds, as Bandido is too close to and able to reach the ropes.

After being forced to break the submission, Dorada brings Bandido back to his feet. He starts teeing off with right hands again, but Bandido fights back with some right hands of his own. They trade blows in the centre of the ring, until Dorada snatches Bandido’s arm and uses it to send him bouncing off the ropes. Bandido comes back with a Tilt A Whirl Tijeras out of nowhere!

Whilst it’s a fast paced move, Bandido doesn’t have it in him to capitalise right away. Both men slowly get to their feet, meeting in the centre once again, and Bandido leans back to throw a haymaker, but Dorada lands a sharp kick to the injured knee. Bandido immediately crumbles to the canvas, allowing Dorada to roll backwards, before coming forwards again… ROLLING CODE RED!!!

DORADA KEEPS BANDIDO STACKED FOR THE PIN…

NO!!!

BANDIDO JUST GETS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT!!!

Once Dorada rolls away from the champion, Bandido stays down. Dorada then rolls Bandido onto his back, before landing a couple of quick stomps to keep him down. After trekking across the ring and onto the apron, Dorada begins the familiar climb up to the top rope. However, once he gets there, he’s met with a throat thrust of sort from Bandido.

The champion has managed to recover enough to stop Dorada from hitting one of his big high risk moves. Bandido lands a few more right hands to keep Dorada dazed and confused. The champ then climbs up to meet Dorada on the top, despite gingerly favouring his left leg the entire time. Once he makes it to the top, Bandido lifts Dorada close to his chest… THINKING REVOLUTION FLY!!!

NO!!! DORADA STARTS THROWING DESPERATION ELBOWS…

CAUSING BANDIDO TO LOSE HIS FOOTING…

AND BOTH TAKE AN AWKWARD TUMBLE OFF THE TOP AND DOWN TO THE CANVAS!!!

The fans urge Bandido on as the bad landing as both men remaining down on the canvas. Slowly, both men work to their feet, Bandido forced to use the ropes to battle back up, but Dorada is relentless. He takes Bandido’s bad leg out with a Chop Block! As Bandido grabs at the damaged limb, Dorada drags Bandido into the centre of the ring, and he tries to step into a Half Crab!

Fighting for his title reign, Bandido desperately kicks at Dorada with his good leg, and it’s enough to break his grip. The last kick is good enough to send Dorada staggering backwards, affording Bandido the time to scramble to his feet. Dorada runs at Bandido though, but Bandido nearly takes his head off with a vicious Clothesline!

For the first time in seemingly forever, Bandido is the first one back to his feet. He stalks Dorada, before synching in a Waist Lock… 21 PLEX!!!

NO!!! DORADA FIGHTS OUT WITH SOME HARD ELBOWS TO THE HEAD!!!

Bandido lets go of the Waist Lock, grabbing his head instead… AND DORADA CHARGES FORWARD WITH A BICYCLE KNEE!!!

The blow lands flush on the jaw of the champion, who falls to the mat. With Bandido down and not moving, Dorada makes another ascension up to the top rope, except this time he’s not interrupted. Dorada leaps off the top… SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!!

IT LANDS!!!

DORADA HOOKS THE LEG…

NO!!!

SOMEHOW, BANDIDO GOT A SHOULDER UP!!!

Everybody in the arena is in shock, with Dorada’s Shooting Star Press having ended countless victims. Shaking his head in bewilderment, Dorada slowly gets up, watching his opponent, waiting for him to inevitably rise. As Bandido does get up, Dorada heads towards the ropes… HANDSPRING CRUCIFIX DRIVER!!!

NO!!! AS DORADA LEAPS TOWARDS BANDIDO…

BANDIDO SIDESTEPS DORADA…

BUT DORADA INCREDIBLY MANEUVERS HIS BODY IN MID AIR TO LAND ON HIS FEET!!!

Dorada lands behind Bandido, so Bandido hits a quick Reverse Elbow! Bandido now spins around to face Dorada, but Dorada hits him with a right hand. It’s a good shot so Dorada swings another one… No! Bandido ducks and gets a Waist Lock… 21 PLEX!!!

HE HITS IT!!!

Bandido remains down on the mat, holding his injured knee, before doing the required crawling… AND BANDIDO DRAPES AN ARM OVER DORADA…

THREE!!!

WINNER: BANDIDO VIA PINFALL at 19:27.

A HUGE reception is given to Bandido once the bell rings, as he’s shown yet again why he’s the right man to lead ROH into the future. Despite a HEAVY limp, Bandido battles back to his feet, is given the ROH Title by the referee and he raises it high above his head.

Confetti and streamers and all sorts fall from the ceiling, because this is a night of celebration after all.

BOOKERS NOTE: ROH wins 3-2. I know CMLL might not like that, but this is BTB and I’m not burying my own company, damn it.

Anyway, Bandido enjoys the moment, taking in all of Arena Mexico during his celebration, until he’s confronted by Dorada. Dorada nods and offers Bandido a handshake, which is accepted and quickly turns into a hug.

Bandido motions with Dorada to stay in the ring for a moment or two, as Bandido gets a mic, having something he wants to say.

Bandido:
Wow, what a night and what a match. I’m struggling to stand a little, but this is what professional wrestling is all about.

Cheers from the fans, as Bandido tries to keep as much weight as possible off his sore leg.

Bandido:
Mascara Dorada… Nothing but respect to you…

The two share another handshake to a nice round of applause.

Bandido:
I asked you to remain out here because this is such an important night. Important for Ring Of Honour and important for CMLL.

Dorada nods, agreeing with everything Bandido is saying.

Bandido:
And as much as I carry the banner for Ring of Honour, nobody represents what it means to be CMLL more than you.

Dorada gets his flowers, getting a nice reception from the fans now the match is over.

Bandido:
Now that the competition for the night is over, I want to take this time to stand here with you and raise your hand. Us standing here together is a sign of the unity between our different organisations.

Bandido puts the mic down and to huge cheers, Bandido and Dorada raise each other’s hands in the airs.

Some generic feel good music plays, as they make sure to look at every side of Arena Mexico…

WHEN THEY ARE BOTH ATTACKED FROM BEHIND!!!

BY THE DON CALLIS FAMILY!!!

HECHICERO, JOSH ALEXANDER, KONOSUKE TAKESHITA AND KYLE FLETCHER HAMMER AWAY AT BOTH EXHAUSED MEN!!!

DON CALLIS is out to, watching on as Fletcher drags Dorada up… AND HURLS HIM SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RING POST!!!

In an impressive display of strength, TAKESHITA GORILLA PRESSES DORADA… AND THROWS HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

It’s a bad bump for Dorada, meanwhile Hechicero is spinning around Bandido at will… EL CONJURO!!!

The Don Callis Family still isn’t finished though. The fans are furious, as Alexander brings Bandido back up… C4 SPIKE!!!

Both champion and challenger have been decimated, as Alexander picks up the ROH Title and puts it on his shoulder.

Callis smirks, as he picks up the microphone that Bandido used earlier.

Don Callis:
It turns out Bandido was half right… This is a big night but it’s because of the (mocking voice) “unity between ROH and CMLL” (end mocking voice). It’s because we already knew that Bandido was ducking Josh Alexander but tonight’s the night where it all changes.

The Don Callis Family are all smiles, as Callis has to basically yell over the furious Mexican fans.

Don Callis:
No longer can Josh Alexander be ducked. He’s pinned Bandido, and now he’s taken Bandido out again, and put his hands on the ROH World Title. Bandido, the challenge is officially being made. We want Bandido versus Josh Alexander for the ROH Title at Supercard Of Honour on July eleventh.

Callis now stands over the still down Bandido, looking into his eyes.

Don Callis:
Be a man. Be a champion. Accept the challenge. Meet your maker, because Josh Alexander is inevitable.

The boos still ring out as Callis drops the mic. The Don Callis Family have in essence ruined what was a feel good moment to end this monumental show in the relationship of CMLL and AEW/ROH.

As things wrap up, the final image we see is a close up of Josh Alexander holding the ROH Title, as he stands over the current, fallen champion…

Well I said I’d jump in with a review for the next ‘Special’ or PPV so this seems like a good time with the CMLL vs AEW/ROH show.

Here we go!

CMLL vs AEW/ROH Review:

- So, I have no idea who Persephone aside from the obvious and there was never really any doubt that she was going to beat Athena here - but the match was fun and you did well making the close calls seem like there was a chance of an upset from the luchadora. Good match to open the show.

- The second match of the evening was again pretty good. I liked the little remainder that the Sons of Texas normally face very much in hostile territory here in Mexico. Good call here with giving CMLL the victory.

- I’m not sure if this is how it went down IRL - Match to match and nothing in between but would have been cool just to get some segments or maybe even a promo or two to break up the show a little. I’m reviewing as I’m reading so maybe there are some to come but I think it would have made the show more interesting and must-see, or in this case, must-read.

- Was not expecting this match to be as good as it was between AR Fox & Neon here. Again, I’m really not familiar with Neon (I’m starting to realise CMLL is probably my blind spot when it comes to wrestling) but a great showing for him and victory here!

- Next up and it’s the eight-man tag! This match definitely felt a little more personal or competitive with the Don Callis family being such heels. Big fan of you giving Alexander the win here via the ankle lock. Sad to see Alexander's time in AEW IRL so really excited to see what you can do with him going forward dude. Hopefully Callis is right and Alexander has a title coming around his waist soon.

- Good Main Event and happy to see Bandio retain! I liked the show of respect at the end with Dorado and giving a nice ending for the crowd with the wholesome AEW/ROH & CMLL respect… OR so we thought haha! I really liked the attack from the DCF and them making sure they’re the talking point about this whole show. Also sets the table for what seems like a Bandido vs Josh Alexander match which I’m totally down to see!

Overall - It was a nice read but I think by your own admission and warning at the start of the show it was a little more dull then what you normally deliver - it definitely felt like a show you wanted to get past in the calendar and I can understand that completely when you’re booking so many shows and promotions already Haha! I think it could have easily been spruced up with some promo’s, maybe a vignette or two to give some background to some of the CMLL roster or even some commentary to give some context. All good though - I look forward to seeing what’s to come next my friend :)

Thanks, Deco. Appreciate the comments. You basically touched on the reason for the dullness of your show in the feedback. It was a very match heavy show in real life, and I decided to stick to a similar format. These specials are a little hard because I don't plan on booking CMLL full time. I believe there's another one coming up in the next week BTB time, but I'm hoping I can build off the events of this show to give that one a bit of a better feel, even if it will be light on segments.

Onwards and upwards now, just getting the predictions results out of the way, so then I can eventually post another predictions contest. Next show in here will be AEW Dynamite - Grand Slam Mexico.

Honestly can't wait for this group of shows to be over. Incorporating CMLL wrestlers into random shows here and there, and then sticking to the authenticity of making them match heavy makes it hard to develop and continue all the angles I want to. I do think this is a much better show than the previous ROH one though, mainly because there's still some promos floating around... Anyway, I think there's another ROH/CMLL special next week and then it will be back to normal shows which should make things flow a little better in here.

AEW Dynamite – Grand Slam Mexico
June 18th, 2025
Mexico City, Mexico
Arena Mexico

The show opens with the standard Dynamite opening video package, but before cutting to the arena, we get an additional. Mixed in with shots of the outside of Arena Mexico, is highlights of some of the CMLL competitors who will be in action tonight. After this, we transition inside the historic arena, to see an epic pyro display. The stage is high tonight, which extra stairs for wrestlers to walk down.

The Mexican fans are excited, sombreros are in the air, and everybody is giddy for a live addition of AEW Dynamite. Our commentary team welcome us to the show, running through the jam packed card, until…

***GHOST TOWN TRIUMPH***

Arena Mexico nearly comes crumbling down, as a HUGE positive reception greets the arrival of the number one contender for the AEW World Championship, ‘HANGMAN’ ADAM PAGE. The ovation doesn’t die down either, there’s excitement in the air, as Page takes it all in.

As he steps into the ring, Page gets himself a microphone. He now paces around the ring, waiting for his music to be cut so he can begin speaking.

Adam Page: Wow, Arena Mexico…

Page shakes his head, with yet another astonishing cheer coming from the crowd.

Adam Page: As somebody who considers himself a leader in the locker room, I wanted to come out here for a number of different reasons.

The number one contender turns serious, as the fans listen on intently.

Adam Page: The first reason is because I wanted to come out here and see you all first, to mark this awesome occasion of AEW in Mexico!

LOUD, cheap pop, which draws a smirk from Page.

Adam Page: Now, honestly, I didn’t come out here just to pander to all our wonderful Mexican fans, I didn’t.

As he says this, Page pulls a little pocket bottle of Tequila out, screws off the cap… AND PAGE TAKES THE SHOT!!!

The fans love it.

Adam Page: Okay, maybe I’m pandering a little…

He smirks, and you guessed it, the fans cheer.

Adam Page: In all seriousness though, I wanted to speak on behalf of the AEW locker room. I wanted to come out here and mark this occasion for the momentous night that it is. Not only for AEW, but for our relationship with CMLL…

“CMLL” chant starts from the die hard locals.

Adam Page: CMLL are the best professional wrestlers in Mexico, and All Elite Wrestling is where the best wrestle. This partnership has so much significance, not just for AEW and CMLL here and now, but for the future of professional wrestling.

The fans applaud, agreeing with what Page is saying.

Adam Page: There are not any other promotions that stand for the traditions of professional wrestling as ours, and long may that continue.

Page holds up his empty tequila bottle, as if doing a toast, but then just shrugs and tosses it outside the ring.

Adam Page: It’s also an honour to be standing in the middle of the ring… in Arena Mexico!!!

Another tremendous ovation.

Adam Page: This is where Atlantis and Villano III did battle in ninety seven… This is where legends like El Santo… Blue Demon… And Mil Mascaras cut their teeth. Thank you to CMLL and thank you to all your fans for opening the door of your house to AEW.

More cheers for the feel good promo. Suddenly, Page gets a sterner look on his face.

Adam Page: Now the niceties are out of the way, let me get to the third and final reason why I’m out here tonight.

The Cowboy paces around the ring, mulling over his words.

Adam Page: Everybody knows we are a little under one month away from All In, where I get the opportunity to face Jon Moxley and regain the most covered prize in professional wrestling. I get the chance to capture what I’ve had before and let slip through my fingers; I get a chance to regain the AEW Championship.

Respectful applause from the fans, who want to see Page as champion.

Adam Page: I could stand here and talk and talk and talk about how much that title means to me… But that’s not what tonight’s about. You see, the past few weeks, I have been the hunted.

Silence now as Page continues.

Adam Page: Whether it’s scraping through in matches demanded by others, or whether it’s having to sneak into an arena because there’s a violent group of people being led by a meathead who are ready to attack me when I arrive to work…

Boos for the first real reference of the Death Riders.

Adam Page: And yes, I just referred to Marina Shafir as a meathead.

Tongue in cheek from ‘Hangman’, but it gets a nice reaction from the fans.

Adam Page: But seriously, I’ve been in something resembling survival mode for the past few weeks. The numbers are against me, so I’ve had to slip through the cracks, but that’s really out of character for me. That’s not the type of person I am or want to be.

The number one contender shakes his head along with his words.

Adam Page: After all, I’m a cowboy, damn it!!!

BIG pop.

Adam Page: Since the beginning of their time, cowboys are not the hunted. Whether it was the Vaquero tradition with the Spanish settlers, or the American Cowboys of the nineteenth century, we’ve always been hunters.

Page takes a beat.

Adam Page: Tonight, I’m going to get back to my roots and be a hunter. That means I-…

***DEATH RIDER***

Boos are directed at the group, as AEW WORLD CHAMPION JON MOXLEY comes out, closely followed by the rest of the DEATH RIDERS. CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI AND WHEELER YUTA look as cocky as ever, whilst MARINA SHAFIR holds the silver briefcase which has the AEW Championship trapped inside.

Despite all the tough words from Page, Mox actually seems in good spirits as he prepares to speak.

Jon Moxley: Hangman, you’re doing a lot of running your mouth right about now, but you’re writing cheques that your ass can’t cash.

The fans disagree, as does Page.

Jon Moxley: You want to talk about being the hunter and the hunted? All I’m trying to do is bring out the best in you. The reason I locked the title in that briefcase, the reason the Death Riders to do anything, it’s so the wrestlers in the locker room can rise and take AEW to new heights.

Mox is as passionate as ever.

Jon Moxley: We got sick of the status quo, so we eliminated it. No more easy nights, no more easy money, to win this World Title it actually means something now.

Mox pauses, letting his words sink in.

Jon Moxley: People say when I trapped this title in the briefcase I did it because I’m selfish, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I am using myself and that AEW Title as a vessel to bring AEW and the wrestlers in the back to new heights. I’m not selfish, I’m selfless.

Page chuckles at that, whilst the heat from the fans shows who they believe.

Jon Moxley: Quite frankly, for you to come out here and run your mouth the way you have, its pissed us off. Just like the last few weeks, you sneaking around with surprise attacks and appearances pissed us off.

Mox starts pacing a little himself, the rest of the Death Riders having his back the entire time.

Jon Moxley: We’re about to turn you into the hunted again when we come down there and beat you down.

Heat from the crowd, as Page unexpectedly exits the ring… ONLY TO GRAB A STEEL CHAIR AND SLIDE BACK IN!!!

To a tremendous pop from the crowd, Page urges the Death Riders to come down, ready to swing the chair.

Jon Moxley: You might be able to nail one or two of us at best with that steel chair, but you won’t have time to get us all…

Mox lets out a devilish grin and begins whispering to his fellow Death Riders. Before they can make a move, ‘Hangman’ speaks.

Adam Page: Whoa, whoa, just one more thing. I’m glad you seem to be in such an aggressive mood.

Mox shrugs.

Adam Page: You see, when I talked about being a Cowboy, and our hunting skills, well, they’re quite diverse. Not only can I lasso with the best of them, but if I ever came across a stream of water, I could catch a fish with a net as well.

Everybody’s a little confused by that statement except for Page.

Adam Page: Let me demonstrate…

The confusion remains as Adam Page comically looks into the air… AND THEN BANG!!!

A loud noise is heard…

AND A HUGE NET FALLS FROM THE ARENA CEILING AND LANDS OVER THE DEATH RIDERS!!!

The fans cheer loudly as the Death Riders flail around panicky, unable to escape. Meanwhile, Page gets out of the ring and sprints up the ramp…

AND ADAM PAGE BEGINS RAINING DOWN CHAIR SHOTS ON WHOEVER WITHIN THE NET MOVES!!!

Page continues to go nuts, getting the better of the Death Riders…

UNTIL A BARRAGE OF SECURITY GUARDS INTERVENE!!!

Eventually, the guards are able to wrangle the chair from Page, and escort him to the back. Whilst this is happening, the Death Riders, furious and battered, work their way out of the net, desperate for revenge…

-COMMERCIALS-

Match One

Atlantis and Atlantis Jr. vs. FTR w/Stokely Hathaway

This is AEW, folks, and it’s a weekly special type of show, meaning they get a good amount of time to go out there and strut their stuff. The strange crowd dynamic exists, with the Mexicans adoring Atlantis, but despising his son, Atlantis Jr. This means that depending on which opponent is in the ring, FTR either get booed or cheered.

The father and son duo do come home strong, after being dominated early on. As all hell breaks loose and Dax and Atlantis brawl on the outside, STOKELY HATHAWAY JUMPS ONTO THE APRON TO DISTRACT ATLANTIS JR!!!

Junior charges at ‘Big Stoke’, who leaps off the apron before he can get hurt. As Atlantis Jr. turns back to the action… CASH WHEELER CATCHES HIM WITH A SMALL PACKAGE…

AND CASH GRABS THE TIGHTS…1…2…3!!!

Winners: FTR via pinfall @ 15:03

The fans voice their disapproval for the first match going against the locals, especially under such dubious circumstances. After getting their hands raised by the referee, FTR notice Atlantis sliding back into the ring, and decide to quickly escape.

With Atlantis pointing menacingly at them behind his mask, FTR decide to hop through the crowd. Alongside Stokely Hathaway, they barge through the crowd, not wanting to stick around ringside and potentially face repercussions anytime soon.

More importantly than all of that, after a disappointing showing on Collision, they’re back on the winners list…

-COMMERCIALS-

Returning from the break, ANNA JAY AND TAY MELO make their way to the ring for the next match. They receive a respectful ovation from the fans, both looking ecstatic after recently rekindling their partnership with Melo’s return… It’s at this time, our commentary team also mention that after the mayhem to start the show, Adam Page and the Death Riders have all been escorted from the arena by security…

***IN THE CLIP***

The reception from the fans grows louder as a confident looking DIAMANTE struts through the curtain. She slaps hands with a few fans, but stops halfway down the ramp, signalling for music to be cut.

Diamante: Alright look, I’m not out here tonight to shoot my mouth off. I’m out here to kick some ass.

Big cheers from the crowd, as Jay and Melo shake their heads in disagreement. Diamante now points her finger directly at Tay.

Diamante: I told you last week I was doing you a favour little miss thing, and I am. But I also told you that this place right here, Arena Mexico, it’s my girls stomping ground.

The fans begin to buzz in anticipation.

Diamante: Just because I’m being a model citizen and doing you a favour, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy myself to.

Crowd is getting louder.

Diamante: So everybody get on your feet and put your hands together for ‘La Sicaria’… IVELISSE!!!

***MUJER ASESINA***

BOOM! The pop is really great as one of CMLL’s favourites, IVELISSE joins her friend Diamante on the ramp. The two aren’t the hugging type, instead snarling and sharing a fist bump. Anna Jay and Tay Melo exchange a look, realising they’re in for a huge fight, as their badass opponents slide into the ring, ready for war…

Match Two
Anna Jay and Tay Melo vs. Diamante and Ivelisse

The four women get plenty of time to do their thing and put on an okay contest in the process. All four get a chance to shine, but Ivelisse looks really good as the surprise appearance, and Melo looks really strong considering she’s most likely heading into a future match with Megan Bayne.

Melo ends up being left alone with Diamante as the match breaks down, and she hits the BRAZILIAN KICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF DIAMANTE!!!

MELO MAKES THE PIN…

AS JAY HOLDS IVELISSE’S FOOT TO STOP HER FROM BREAKING THE COUNT…1…2…3!!!

Winners: Anna Jay and Tay Melo via pinfall @ 13:59

The two AEW gals celebrate their hard fought win, getting a mixed reaction from the fans. They haven’t necessarily done anything wrong, but the fans are just huge for Ivelisse here tonight.

Either way, Jay and Melo celebrate, with Melo then yelling, “I’M COMING FOR YOU, BAYNE”. And whilst Melo is full of gusto, Jay looks a little apprehensive, perhaps worried at what’s to come for her friend…

-COMMERCIALS-

Match Three
Mistico vs. MJF

Another LONG match following the trend for tonight, as this is another wrestling heavy show here. There is some feeling in this one after the heated build, with Mistico coming out like a house on fire. Eventually MJF is able to weather the storm and slow down Mistico, until Misty fights back. Pulling back the curtain here a little, I’m giving full disclosure that this is the one time CMLL put their foot down and refused to have one of their stars lose (considering all their others basically are).

Tony Khan (me) wouldn’t have wanted MJF to lose either, so close to All In, therefore we are getting the crappy finish here. As things started to look dicey for MJF towards the end, MONTEL VONTAVIOUS PORTER COMES FROM NOWHERE AND NAILS MISTICO IN THE BACK WITH HIS CANE!!!

The referee sees it and to the disappointment of all, has no choice but to call for the bell.

Winner: Mistico via disqualification @ 16:19

The referee has no choice but to call for the bell and end the contest. It gets a mixed reaction from the fans; however MVP looks downright terrified. Mistico has no sold the cane shot, and is now approaching Porter, who looks like a deer in the headlights.

Mistico grabs a hold of MVP by his suit jacket, and cocks his fist…

BUT MISTICO GETS DRILLED FROM BEHIND…

BY SHELTON BENJAMIN!!!

BOBBY LASHLEY
isn’t to far behind either, and now the AEW Tag Team Champions begin stomping all over Mistico…

WHEN HOLOGRAM AND KOMANDER SLIDE INTO THE RING!!!

They duck punch attempts from The Hurt Syndicate and manage to land Headscissor Takedowns, which cause Lashley and Shelton to scurry from the ring.

Meanwhile MVP leaves the ring as MJF gets up and gets thrown out of the ring as well.

The Hurt Syndicate are furious on the outside. The faces in the ring beg them to get back in the ring, but MVP talks to his team, initiating a plan.

Having the numbers advantage, one member takes a different side of the ring, trying to surround the men in the ring.

The Hurt Syndicate all get onto the apron, but before anything else can go down, TONY SCHIAVONE stands up from the announcers desk.

Tony Schiavone: Ladies and gentlemen, Tony Khan has just sent word that if anymore violence is to break out between these seven men right now, they will all be suspended without pay.

None of the wrestlers look happy, and the fans voice their displeasure as well.

Tony Schiavone: With that, comes an announcement. Tony Khan is disappointed with how this match ended and has now made an alteration to tonight’s main event. The planned tag team match between The Hurt Syndicate, Hologram and Komander will now be a six man tag with Mistico and MJF being added to the respective teams. Thank you very much.

This announcement gets some positive affirmation from the fans, whilst the wrestlers continue to trade verbal barbs, knowing they can’t touch each other until the main event…

Match Four

Kenny Omega vs. Kyle Fletcher w/Don Callis

This match is happening because AEW CONTINENTAL CHAMPION KAZUCHIKA OKADA was given the opportunity to choose an opponent for Okada tonight. Okada actually made his way down to perform commentary for the match and talked about how the decision for him was a no brainer. Kyle Fletcher is one of the most impressive young wrestlers in the world, and nobody knows Omega’s weaknesses better than Callis. Equipped with that knowledge, Okada expects Fletcher to win.

As for the match itself, Fletcher is not disgraced by any means, but he’s unable to pull out the win. Omega shows tremendous resilience, fighting back from all the mid-section attacks due to his diverticulitis. Omega still manages to get Fletcher up and hit the ONE WINGED ANGEL!!!

With a horrified Don Callis watching on, OMEGA HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!!!

Winner: Kenny Omega via pinfall @ 15:33

After the match, Omega gets an impressive pop from the Mexican fans, as he celebrates his hard fought victory. An exhausted Omega finds the eyes of Kazuchika Okada at ringside, staring him down, the tension growing thick in the air, as these two get closer and closer to another match in their historic rivalry…

Match Five

CMLL Womens Championship Match
Zeuxis (c) defends against Mercedes Mone

A shorter match than everything else on the card, as Zeuxis defended her title against the dangerous Mone. Zeuxis put up an impressive effort, but in the end was only able to look valiant in defeat. The result was kind of inevitable though, as the undefeated TBS Champions catches Zeuxis with the MONE MAKER!!!

MONE ROLLS INTO THE COVER…1…2…3!!!

Winner: Mercedes Mone via pinfall @ 9:01

Mercedes Mone is full of arrogance as she gets back to her feet, performing her ‘CEO’ dance. She gets a mixed reaction from the crowd, leaning towards heat as her celebration continues.

Another belt gets added to Mone’s collection here (honestly don’t know how many it was at this point or care for that matter). Suddenly though, a noise like the vinyl on a record skipping scratches throughout the arena, the music cuts, the lights go out, and showing an old school black and white image, the big screen comes to life.

The video starts with a caption which reads ‘LAST WEEK’.

We then cut a hospital room, where we see LUTHER lying in the bed, hooked up to all sorts of medical equipment. To the side of the bed stands AEW WOMENS CHAMPION TONI STORM, for some reason wearing an old school white and red nurses outfit, which is covered in blood. She looks distraught whilst looking down at her beloved butler, pounding her fist on the bed.

Toni Storm: Oh no, my darling Luther…

Storm puts the back of her hand on her forehead, letting out an exasperated gasp. She’s as dramatic as ever.

Toni Storm: What has that venomous cow done to you?

Venomous cow? Okay.

Toni Storm: Now who will pick out my dashing outfits to ensure my bosom is up at my chin and not slapping at my knees?

Storm looks at her own cleavage, which looks fine btw.

Toni Storm: Oh never mind, Luther. You rest and recover. Believe me, that heathen will pay.

Suddenly, the worried expression on Storm’s face switches to one of anger.

Toni Storm: It looks like momma’s going to Mexico!!!

With that, the video comes to an end, and the lights come back on inside the arena…

Mercedes Mone has her head on swivel, looking around feverishly, but there’s no signs of the women’s champion. The fans start up a “TONI” chant, but still nothing, until the lights go back out, and the big screen comes alive yet again…

This time the caption reads ‘TWO DAYS AGO’. We see Toni Storm sitting in what looks like a dingy looking bar, with a couple of sweaty, overweight men wearing singlets. It looks like it’s warm weather, everybody is sweating, as Storm looks towards the two men at the stools next to her, and downs what’s likely another shot of tequila.

Toni Storm: Ah tequila, fuel for the soul…

The two men drinking with the champ look confused, having not heard that saying before.

Toni Storm: As I was saying, she took my darling Luther, so now, I’m gonna’ take her head!

With that, Storm flicks her last shot glass off the bar in anger, before getting up and storming outside. She stomps a few steps down the street, before stopping at a sign which reads ‘WELCOME TO TIJUANA’.

Toni Storm: Mercedes Mone… Don’t let this little detour fool you…

Toni Storm: Oh and watch for the shoe…

The video quickly cuts, and the lights turn back on…

And Mercedes Mone is freaking out yet again, when she turns around to see TONI STORM STANDING BEHIND HER!!!

AND STORM THROWS HER SHOE AT MONE, HITTING HER RIGHT IN THE FOREHEAD!!!

A stunned Mone drops to the canvas but immediately rolls out of the ring. Getting a HUGE ovation, the fired up Storm invites Mone back in, but the stunned number one contender backs away, holding her head in pain as she does so…

-COMMERCIALS-

Match Six
Hologram, Komander and Mistico vs. The Hurt Syndicate w/Montel Vontavious Porter

Based off earlier tonight, it’s a fiery main event. Before the match kicks off though, our commentary team announce that after their impressive win over FTR on Collision last week, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong would get a tag team title shot against The Hurt Syndicate on next week’s Dynamite!!!

Anyway, a fiery main event, plenty of hard hitting action, but the ending comes about when MJF is able to be left alone with Komander. MJF manages to get a hold of Komander’s mask and shift it, so it covers his eyes. With Komander blinded, it’s easy work for MJF TO LAND A BRAINBUSTER!!!

MJF HOOKS THE LEG…

AS THE REST OF THE HURT SYNDICATE, INCLUDING MVP ENSURE NOBODY CAN INTERRUPT…1…2…3!!!

Winners: The Hurt Syndicate via pinfall @ 16:30

Yet again, there’s disappointment amongst the fans, because I’m putting over the talent I’m booking on a weekly basis. Sorry, lucha libre fans.

Anyway, as Komander and Hologram lick their wounds on the outside, an arrogant MJF is approached by Mistico.

Mistico puts out his hand, trying to put everything behind them… BUT MJF SPITS AT MISTICO!!!

The heat is enormous as Mistico charges at MJF, who immediately runs from the ring. MJF backs up the ramp, arrogantly waving and yelling, “BYE MISTY… UNTIL MISTICO RUNS OUT AND STARTS CHASING HIM!!!

MJF and Mistico run to the back, leaving just the AEW Tag Team Champions, Lashley and Benjamin to celebrate alongside MVP.

And celebrate they do… UNTIL THEY BOTH GET WHACKED BY A STEEL CHAIR IN THE BACK!!!

BY TWO UNKNOWN MASKED LUCHADORES, WEARING ALL BLACK FROM HEAD TO TOE!!!

The fans murmur in complete disarray, as one of the unknown assailants pie faces MVP down to the canvas.

They land one more shot each with the steel chairs, ensuring Lashley and Benjamin stay down…

And that’s how the show ends, with the two mystery men standing tall, the AEW Tag Team Titles now in their hands…

END OF SHOW

Housekeeping - ROH PPV schedule has been updated on opening page based off below:

ROH News and Notes

Officially, the PPV/special events schedule after CMLL vs. ROH/AEW had yet to be confirmed by ROH. It has now been announced that ROH x CMLL Global Wars Mexico (June 26th, 2025, Mexico City, Mexico – Arena Mexico), ROH Supercard of Honor (July 11th, 2025, Arlington, Texas – Esports Arena) and ROH Death Before Dishonor (August 29th, 2025, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – 2300 Arena) are scheduled.

Whilst the latter two events are PPV's, the ROH x CMLL Global Wars Mexico event is a pre taped event, which will be airing instead of a regular episode of ROH on Honor Club on June 26th.

June 19th, 2025
Atlantic City, New Jersey
Adrian Phillips Theatre at Boardwalk Hall

The show started off with six man tag team action this week as MxM Collection defeated three jobbers. Of course, they were accompanied by the loud and obnoxious, Taya Valkyrie. They get it done in a little over two minutes with Johnny TV nailing one of them with The Superstation to get the win. After the match, the good looking stable signalled that they want titles around their waists, whilst the commentators wonder whether they want tag team or six man tag team titles…

Later on in the night, MxM Collection are battling for some mirror time, ensuring they don’t have any blemishes after wrestling tonight. It’s serious business because of how “ridiculously good looking” they all are. The mood shifted though when their battle was interrupted by Shane Taylor Promotions. MxM Collection tense up but the no nonsense trio look them up and down, clearly judging, before Shane Taylor tells them that they come in peace. “We want shots at the tag titles, and we saw earlier tonight that you do too. We can’t all get the same shot. Let’s talk about this”. And that’s all we saw, as then the scene cut away…

A video package played, highlighting the biggest moment from the CMLL vs. AEW/ROH show on June 17th. It showed ROH World Champion Bandido and Mascara Dorada having a respectful moment after their match. The moment was then ruined by The Don Callis Family who cowardly attacked the two men. With the numbers advantage, they beat them down easily, before Don Callis on behalf of Josh Alexander officially made the challenge for an ROH Title match. Right after the video package, we cut to a pre-taped promo where Mascara Dorada stood by with his fellow CMLL competitors, Averno, Euforia and Gran Guerrero. Dorada is mad about the attack and wants to do something about it, and thankfully he has a chance coming up soon. “Next week… Global Wars Mexico… Us four… Against Don Callis Family” …

Not long after the challenge was made, The Don Callis Family would respond. Don Callis would accept the challenge, but said his family have one small hiccup that they need to overcome to make this match possible. According to Don, Hechicero, Kyle Fletcher and the next ROH World Champion Josh Alexander will all be in the match. “Due to our other family members being tied up to other commitments in Japan, we will need to find a fourth man before the end of tonight to be able to make the match happen. Watch this space” …

Despite being banged up and walking with a limp after CMLL vs. AEW/ROH two nights ago, ROH World Champion Bandido competed against and defeated Rocky Romero from The Don Callis Family. Knowing his leg was banged up, Bandido was very cagey, before somehow trapping Romero with a small cradle within the second minute of the match for the shockingly quick victory…

After the match, Rocky Romero was furious and was looking to attack the injured Bandido, however Don Callis surprisingly stopped him. Callis brought up the fact that he had been searching far and wide through the ROH locker room to find a fourth man for his team next week. “Ring Of Honor officials were so excited they granted me carte blanche to find anybody I want. Well guess what, Bandido, YOU are going to be our fourth man.” Everybody was in complete shock as Callis just laughed to himself…

There was another appetizer for the women’s Pure Rules Tournament that is taking forever to start as Deonna Purrazzo defeated Marti Belle. Belle fought hard for a few minutes, but ever the technician and tactician, at about the four minute mark, Purrazzo applied the Venus de Milo, and Belle was forced to verbally submit…

A pre tape aired featuring the unlikely trio of Kiera Hogan, CMLL’s Persephone and Thunder Rosa. The fired up trio announce that they’ll be facing ROH Womens Champion Athena, Billie Starkz and ROH TV Champion Red Velvet in a six woman tag match at Global Wars Mexico next week. Each woman went through their own motivation, with Hogan wanting to earn a TV Title shot, Persephone wanting revenge for Athena cheating her out of the Womens Championship two nights ago, and Thunder Rosa is excited because Athena can’t run from her anymore…

Willie Mack defeated Griff Garrisson. It’s worth noting that all of Frat House was with Garrisson at ringside, and as they made their entrance, Jacked Jameson let it be known, “Dark Order, we accept your challenge. We’ll see you at Supercard of Honor”. Garrison’s fraternity brothers weren’t the only ones in interest in this match, as Dalton Castle and The Boys appeared on the ramp to watch on. Not to be deterred with all the outside noise, Mack beat Griff with a Chocolate Thunder Bomb in a little over three minutes. Dalton Castle looked very impressed afterwards, applauding, which caught Mack off guard…

Last week, Christian Cage promised Nick Wayne something that would cheer him up after Wayne blamed Christian for losing his ROH TV Title. This week’s main event would feature “TV Title implications” according to Christian. Christian Cage and Nick Wayne defeated Blake Christian and the ROH TV Champion ‘Shotty’ Lee Johnson. Nick Wayne pinned Blake Christian after hitting the Prodigy Plex about eight minutes into the match…

After the match, Christian and Wayne celebrated, until ring announcer Bobby Cruise stated the following, “your winners of this match, and going on to face ‘Shotty’ Lee Johnson in a Triple Threat Match at Supercard of Honor… NICK WAYNE… AND CHRISTIAN CAGE”! Christian smirked at the announcement, but Wayne was furious that once again, Christian was getting involved and not allowing him a one on one rematch. Wayne continued to vent his anger, arguing away, as the show faded to black…

END.

The show opened up with in ring action this week as Mustafa Ali defeated John Skyler. Skyler was fired up and looked to defend the honour of his tag team partner, Jason Hotch, who Ali took out last week. Ali was a level above though and after weathering the storm for seven minutes, he landed the 450 Splash for the victory…

After the match, Mustafa Ali was ready to take out the last remaining member of The Good Hands. He exited the ring and grabbed a steel chair, but upon seeing the same look in his eye as last week, Tasha Steelz intervened. Tasha begs Ali not to do what he’s thinking about, and Ali paused to consider, before Ali grabbed Steelz by the hair and threw her out of the ring. As the audience gasped in shock, Ali then wrapped John Skyler’s ankle in the steel chair, before heading up high… And for the second time in two weeks, Ali Pillmanises the ankle of a member of The Good Hands. Ali then left the ring, looking smug, as Tasha and a bunch of medics checked on the clearly injured Skyler…

Later in the night, having recovered from the shocking events earlier, Tasha Steelz pleaded with Mustafa Ali to be reasonable. She doesn’t understand why he’s behaving the way he is, when all they have ever done is be loyal to him. An emotionless Ali barely looked at Steelz before coldly stating, “I’m sick of you all questioning my leadership. I’ve shown The Good Hands what happens when I’m questioned, next week, I’ll show you as well when we go one on one”. Without another word, Ali left the room, leaving Steelz to sit down, trembling like a leaf. She scrambled to pull her phone out of a pocket and made a call, “when are you going to get here? I need you. He’s worse than I thought…”

As TNA World Champion Trick Williams arrived at the arena, a camera followed him walking into the building. Knowing he’s on screen, Trick arrogantly talked as he walked. He talked about how considering he’s a star from NXT and the TNA World Champion, that he managed to secure the main event slot for tonight’s show. “So here’s how it’s gonna’ work. I’ll wrestle in the main event tonight against either Elijah, Joe Hendry or Mike Santana”. Trick claimed that he honestly didn’t care who accepted the challenge, because he’ll beat any of them anyway. After bragging some more, he asks his three potential challengers a question, “Who’s gonna step up, boys? Let’s call this the TrickNA challenge. Whoever faces me tonight, if you were to somehow win, maybe you’d be the one to challenge me again for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary… Considering how well you boys be getting’ along, I’ll let y’all decide who’s gonna’ step up.” Trick then shot the camera a devilish smirk, knowing he’s setting up the three potential challengers to argue amongst themselves…

Right before the main event, at the Gorilla position, Elijah, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana are arguing over who should get to answer the ‘TrickNA’ challenge. They started to shove each other, the tension rising, and already in the ring, Trick Williams watched on the big screen, laughing away. Before things could escalate further, TNA Director Of Authority Santino Marella appeared and calmed all three down. He put both his hands behind his back and held up seven fingers, telling them to all pick a number. Santana got the closest with six, so he earned the right to face Trick, leaving the others bitterly disappointed…

In the main event of the night, Mike Santana defeated Trick Williams. It was non-title, but it felt like a title fight. These two gave it their all for twenty minutes and in the end, Santana hit the second Spin The Block of the night to pin the TNA World Champion. The show went off the air with Santana standing tall, the commentary wondering if this meant we’d see Santana challenge Trick for the TNA Championship at Slammiversary…

Santino Marella addressed the audience in the middle of the ring, as a table with a black cloth was laid over it, along with a clipboard. Santino talked about how he had some help at Against All Odds, and in striking up a deal with this person, he’s managed to get them to agree to sign an exclusive contract to TNA. “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the biggest free agent start of the independents… MATT CARDONA”!!! Matt Cardona received a terrific ovation from the crowd, as he came down and shook hands with Santino. Before he signed the contract, Cardona wanted to tell everybody a little bit of the why he signed and why helped Santino at Against All Odds. “For me, it was all about understanding the vision and I love the vision that Santino set out for me about the future of TNA wrestling”. Now as for that other guy, Robert Stone, Cardona knew where Stone has from, he has been there, and he doesn’t want to be at a place like that again. Admittedly, Cardona helped TNA for passion, but he admitted it was somewhat of a selfish decision as well. “I’m excited to be here and I’m willing to ply my trade and show the TNA fans what I can do. And I’ll admit, I did negotiate a future TNA World Title shot in my contract… But you all have my word, I WON’T cash that title shot in until I’ve earned my spot here and am ready to go.” The fans appreciated the honesty from Cardona, who then signed the contract, until The System interrupted. Surprisingly, Brian Myers led the way, and he started with a tongue in cheek comment about Cardona calling himself always ready, but then needing time to be ready for a title shot. That jibe aside, Cardona signing with a title shot bonus in his contract is wrong, “if anything, it sounds like you’re trying to buck ‘the system’”. Myers talked about their history, and about how we won’t just let Cardona come in here and leapfrog him in the scheme of things. Cardona bit back, stating that he didn’t need to leapfrog Myers because he’s just better. The System didn’t like that, and they attacked Cardona, ignoring Marella’s pleas to stop. The System beat Cardona down, and they end it with Myers Powerbombing Cardona through the table…

The System weren’t finished for the night as they were found backstage, the TNA X Division Champion Moose giving Eddie Edwards and JDC a pep talk. He talked about how they were in tag team action against Leon Slater next, and they needed to show that “punk kid” what happened when you don’t trust and try and overthrow the system. “Or better yet what happens when you try and take my X Division Title”. Moose was ultra intense, and the rest of The System were on the same page…

Leon Slater and his tag partner, TNA International Champion Steve Maclin defeated Eddie Edwards and JDC via disqualification. The match only went about three minutes, but being off to a strong start, Slater winked at Moose during an exchange. That was enough to send the lately fragile Moose off the rails, as he slid into the ring and immediately attacked Slater. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell…

After the match, The System attack both Leon Slater and Steve Maclin. Slater and Maclin fought back hard, until Frankie Kazarian also got involved, helping The System and focusing on Maclin. With the numbers game being too much to overcome, Slater and Maclin were left laying by their rivals…

Much like last week, Killer Kelly and her frenemy, the TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich have an intriguing conversation. Masha still very clearly wants to know whether she needed to watch Kelly as a potential challenger for her title, or whether she was here to be her tag team partner again. Kelly smirked at the question, the same mysterious aura about her as last week, before responding, “I am you friend, and I will always be. I will be by your side, fighting off all the challengers, but when we are the last two left, I’ll be putting that dog collar around your neck.” Kelly left the room after her response, leaving Masha a little taken aback at just how up front Kelly was this week…

In a TNA Knockouts Championship Eliminator match, Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford defeated Indi Hartwell and Xia Brookside. It was a hard fought match that could have went either way, until Brookside had another one of her episodes, and continuously choked Crawford. Indi had to intervene to prevent the disqualification, and then Myla Grace came down to verbally abuse Brookside. Myla is furious at what Brookside did to Harley Hudson last week, whilst Rosemary watched on from backstage, a devilish grin on her face. With all the distractions and drama, Tessa was able to Roll Up Brookside and steal the pin at the eleven minute mark…

Having a relatively quiet night by their standards, the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions By Elegance were interviewed by Gia Miller. After the Personal Concierge was done scalding Miller for the not adequate introduction, Ash By Elegance took over. She talked about how they run the tag team division here in TNA, and nothing was going to change anytime soon. Ash then specifically called out Spitfire, talking about how The Elegance Brand ran that team out of TNA. Conveniently nearby, Dani Luna was unhappy with the words, and stormed onto the set, throwing some threats at By Elegance. Ash and her team simply laughed at Luna and then walked away, the ultimate sign of disrespect…

The tag team scene for the male division had a little more in terms of development this week. It started with The Rascalz coming down to the ring. Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz were both fired up, mentioning that as far as they are concerted, they are in seat 1A when it comes to getting the next shot at the TNA Tag Team Championships. Miguel continued, “we were oh so close to taking those titles at Against All Odds, with nothing but a technicality saving the champs. And then last week, well it just felt good to punch those two pretty boys in the mouth”. With the fans behind them, The Rascalz think the match is all but made until they are interrupted by The Hardy Boyz. Matt and Jeff Hardy admit that they have all the respect in the world for The Rascalz, but it doesn’t mean they’re going to sit back and let them have repeated title shots. “You see, we never really got our proper rematch for the gold. We were cheated out of the tag titles, and then The Nemeth’s made sure to grant us a rematch in a country where Jeff wouldn’t be allowed in”. Jeff nodded sheepishly, before providing some of his own input, “it’s not even just about the titles anymore. Those two walk around claiming to be the greatest brother team of all time, and we ain’t having that”. The teams went nose to nose, all four relatively unhappy, and that only got worse as First Class decided to join the show. AJ Francis ran his mouth on the stick, telling the other teams that they’ve both got it wrong. “You pesky, little, HARMLESS rascals need to diddy daddle to the back of the line. And as for you, Hardy Boyz, or should I say Hardy senior citizens, y’all need to step aside and let the next generation do our thing”. The Hardyz wondered if that’s why they pinned KC Navarro last week, which angered First Class, but also caused Francis to shoot Navarro a dirty look. Before things could escalate more, the TNA Tag Team Champions The Nemeths finally decided to join the fray. The Nemeths apologise to the other three teams, not for interrupting, but because they deliver the bad news that none of them deserve a tag title shot. “We already beat The Rascalz and The Hardyz, and First Class, well, we like you guys… A Lot. You have a world of potential, but we don’t think you’re ready yet either”. First Class opt to show that they are ready by attacking The Hardyz. The Nemeth’s attack The Rascalz and we saw a brawl in the ring, which ended with The Hardyz and The Rascalz standing tall. As First Class and The Nemeth’s recovered at ringside, Santino Marella intervened. “One thing I can guarantee here in TNA are that things are earned with actions, not words”. Santino went on to state that the three teams chasing a title shot would be involved in a series of matches over the next few weeks. The team with the most wins at the end of the series will get a title shot at Slammiversary. “And if anybody decides to put their hands on anybody outside of a match environment, you will NOT get a title shot, or if you are the champions, you will be STRIPPED of your titles”. Just like that, the Director Of Authority had restored law and order, with all the teams forced to behave for the remainder of the night…

END.

This week’s edition of Smackdown kicked off with the fans in a good mood, being greeted in the ring by fan favourite, LA Knight. LA told the fans that he would be an open book with them, and right now, a lot of the pages in the book say that Knight has had a pretty crappy couple of weeks. “I didn’t win the Money in the Bank briefcase like I thought I would, and I lose to Aleister Black last week thanks to that cross dresser Seth Rollins… YEAH”! After waiting for the crowd to settle down at his Seth Rollins insult, Knight mentioned he would deal with Seth in due course but tonight is about Aleister Black. “I respect Aleister Black, but I don’t respect his victory over me. Tonight, in Smackdown’s main event, I’m gonna’ get that one back because I am better than him… And then, I’ll go on my merry way to face whichever DUMMY comes out of Summerslam with the WWE Championship”. The fans agreed with LA Knight, but Aleister Black didn’t as he slowly made his way to the ring. Black calmly told Knight it’s not the loud ones you need to worry about, it’s the quiet ones. “My standing victory over you may be tainted, but I will right that wrong when I beat you again tonight”. Black told Knight he’s just a couple of catchphrases and he will end that hype train tonight. Knight didn’t like that and got up close and personal with Black, telling him we’ll see. The two continued to stare each other down, tension building before the main event…

LA Knight defeated Aleister Black in the main event of the evening. This was a competitive, back and forth contest but after ten minutes of hard hitting action, Knight hit the BFT to score the victory, leveling his series with Black at 1-1…

The night didn’t end with LA Knight standing tall celebrating his victory, instead the titantron came to life. Walking through an airport, Paul Heyman is on the tron, clearly recording himself due to the rocky footage. Heyman does his usual intro, telling everybody that he’s Paul Heyman and The Oracle. The master wordsmith then congratulated Knight on what he admitted was an impressive performance. “But there are levels to this game, Mr. Knight. And you are well and truly, a level, maybe even two below THE GREAT Seth Rollins. Consider this your one and only warning, don’t mention Seth Rollins name again if you know what’s good for you”. Heyman then told Knight that he may carry on with his celebration now, and the tron cut out. Knight’s music then played again, and whilst he shrugged, blatantly more subdued and irritated by the interruption, he celebrated some more as the show went off the air…

Relatively early on in the show, Damian Priest was approached by Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis. After a cordial greeting, Aldis admitted that he didn’t come over just for a social call, and he had some business to discuss. “I’ve booked you in a match tonight, Damian. You see, JC Mateo and Solo Sikoa approached me, and JC Mateo requested a match with you personally. Something about teaching you a lesson for getting involved in family business”. Priest smirked at the news from Aldis, knowing it's likely to do with some of Priests conversations with Jacob Fatu over the past couple of weeks. Priest lets Aldis know he’s fine with the match and walks off to seemingly go get ready…

There was plenty of other family or bloodline business to get through on this week’s Smackdown though. The fan already qualified for the semi final of the King Of The Ring Tournament, Cody Rhodes decided to a cut a promo in the ring. After quizzing the fans on what to talk about, Cody predictably talked about winning King Of The Ring. Cody doesn’t just want the KOTR to wear a crowd and have another accolade. “I NEED to win this King Of The Ring Tournament. I worked for over twenty years to FINALLY finish my story, only for my new story, as the champion, to be unceremoniously interrupted by John Cena. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t breathe, I CAN’T LIVE, until I get redemption on John Cena, and to do that, I NEED this tournament”. Cody was as passionate as ever, and the fans cheered loudly, until Drew McIntyre interrupted. Drew earnestly apologized to Cody, because Cody wasn’t going to win the KOTR, Drew was. “I really do apologise and mean it, Cody. I’ve always like you. You’re not CM Punk, you’re not Roman Reigns, I don’t have anything against you, but I will kick your head off your shoulders and get a WWE Championship match that I deserve”. Cody disagreed but before the two could argue much more, the WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu made his way out, accompanied by Solo Sikoa. Fatu told the two punks in the ring to quit yapping. “This tournament ain’t about no talkin’, this tournament about takin’ action, and Drew, you ain’t even gonna’ make it to Cody, and that’s me keepin it 100”. All three continued to bicker, until a referee ran down, and it was decided the final KOTR Quarter Final would take place right now…

Drew McIntyre defeated WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu in a King Of The Ring Quarter Final Match. Much like Fatu’s and JC Mateo’s interference cost Solo Sikoa last week, Solo hit Drew McIntyre in the back a steel chair, right in front of the referee. The referee had no choice but to call for the disqualification mark at the eleven minute mark, infuriating Fatu in the process…

Back in the locker room, Jacob Fatu ranted and raved as he paced back and forth, furious with Solo Sikoa for costing him the King Of The Ring. Getting offended at the way Fatu is speaking to their fearless leader, JC Mateo stepped up, ready to fight Fatu, but before anything could break out between the two, Solo cooled them down. First, he told Mateo to step aside and continue preparation for his match with Damian Priest tonight. As for Fatu, “you need to head on home and cool off. Me and JC got this… You need to go chill, you should know better than anybody after last week when you messed up in my King Of The Ring opportunity, accidents happen…” With a shake of his head, the furious US Champion stormed off, leaving Solo alone, his face unreadable…

Not long after their argument with Fatu, JC Mateo and Solo Sikoa reunited to head to the ring. Solo grabbed a microphone and told everybody to pump the brakes. There are no issues within their family, and Fatu just needed some time to cool off. “Sometimes Jacob can take all gas no brakes a little to literally, but that’s okay”. Solo then turned his attention to Damian Priest, because they have taken exception to the way Priest has potentially been planting seeds of doubt about them in Fatu’s head. “As a matter of fact, we are holding you personally responsible for Jacob’s blow up here tonight. So come on out here so we can teach you what happens when you interfere in Bloodline business”. Damian Priest was quick to answer the call, slowly heading down the ramp as he responded. He said he knew that he was a few moments away from kicking Mateo’s ass, but he had been watching the way they had been dealing with Fatu lately. Priest called Solo out for being jealous of Fatu’s success. As Solo scoffed at that notion, Priest went on, “as a matter of fact, as a family, I think you guys really suck”. Mateo and Solo threw a tantrum in the ring as Priest wearily stepped inside, ready to do battle…

Damian Priest defeated JC Mateo via disqualification. After a close contest, Priest looked to be getting on top around the seven minute mark, so Solo Sikoa slid into the ring and attacked Priest. With the attack showing no signs of slowing down, the referee had no choice but to call for the disqualification…

After the match, JC Mateo and Solo Sikoa continued the beatdown on Damian Priest, until Jimmy Uso made the save. Once the numbers game was evened up, Uso and Priest were able to get on top, clearing the ring and sending a furious Mateo and Sikoa packing…

Throwing stuff and causing mayhem backstage, JC Mateo and Solo Sikoa were incensed with how the night had gone for them so far. They were quickly approached by Nick Aldis, who planned to keep them at bay and allow them to not destroy anymore WWE owned equipment. He then told them that he was actually coming to them not just to calm them down but also offer a favour. “Family is everything, I get that, I really do. Next week on Smackdown, I’m going to give you in ring time to discuss your issues with Jacob in front of the entire world”. Aldis left after dropping that bomb, whilst Solo looked slightly perturbed by the announcement…

Charlotte Flair defeated Jade Cargill in a Queen Of The Ring Quarter Final Match. Jade looked impressive throughout, however Charlotte was able to use her experience, catching Cargill with a Victory Roll when she attempted Jaded. Flair got the pin around the nine minute mark…

Immediately after Charlotte scored the win, we headed backstage where Bianca Belair was interviewed. She was asked about now knowing that she’ll face Charlotte next week in a Queen Of The Ring Semi Final. Bianca talked about having mixed emotions watching the impressive match between Charlotte and Jade just now. “On one hand, I’ve put all that drama behind me, and I didn’t really want to have to face Jade, begin a former friend and all. On the other hand, I know Charlotte is one of the greatest of all time, but I’m ready. I’m going to prove to Charlotte next week that the Queen Of The Ring will be the EST…”

WWE Womens United States Champion Zelina Vega was walking down a hall in the back, minding her own business, when she was confronted by Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice. Vega looked less than impressed as the bullies cornered her, and Chelsea, of course wearing her protective mask, mocked Vega for being an unworthy champion. “Breaking people’s noses so they don’t get their just and fair rematch doesn’t make you a champion, you know”. Vega rolled her eyes at the reference to Green’s previously injured nose, but Chelsea just gets more aggressive. As the mean girls close in on Vega, about to get violent, Giulia showed up. She wondered what was happening here, but doing the match, Chelsea was still confident. Suddenly, Michin walked into the shot as well, standing beside Vega and Giulia. All three women standing side by side, daring Chelsea and co to make a move, but a frustrated Chelsea let out a shriek and stormed off…

Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice defeated Giulia, Michin and Zelina Vega. This match was made after their confrontation earlier tonight, with Nick Aldis calling out that whichever team won, the winning team would be able to shoot their shot in regard to a US Title shot. After her cronies did all the work, Chelsea snuck into the ring and pinned Vega at the nine minute mark, meaning Chelsea Green will challenge Zelina Cega for the gold at Night Of Champions…

After the match, Giulia was furious as she looked over at Zelina Vega battling her way to her feet. Despite having her back over the last few weeks, Giulia shoved Vega to the canvas in frustration, knowing she’s at least for now out of the US Title picture. “YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE” yelled Giulia as she stood over the surprised Vega, until Michin got in between them. Michin shoved Giulia away from Vega, offering her to try that on her, but Giulia instead just left the ring…

Kit Wilson prepared to go one on one with The Miz when Carmelo Hayes attacked Wilson from behind. The Miz looked on in shock, as Melo took care of business, nailing the First 48 and then throwing Wilson from the ring…

The referee left the ring, signalling that the match will no longer go ahead, as Carmelo Hayes grabbed a microphone. Melo told The Miz that he can consider that a statement of intent. “I’m so sick and tired of you trying to be the big brother, trying to give me advice. Melo do this, Melo do that, like you’re some kind of big shot, when I can’t remember the last time you won a match”. Miz maintained his composure despite the insult, as Melo stated that he just showed that his style and his way is better than Miz’s. Melo dropped the mic and left, leaving Miz standing in the ring, surprisingly still smirking, as he stated that “we’ll see” …

A little later on in the night, The Miz tried to smooth things over with Carmelo Hayes. He talked about really only trying to help Carmelo, because since Melo questioned Miz’s record, “last time I checked, you haven’t won a lot of matches since you came up from NXT.” Miz talked about being a former World Champion, he knows what it takes to succeed and he’s trying to give back. Before Melo could respond to any of that, Kit Wilson stormed into the room. Miz stepped between Melo and Wilson, stopping them from coming to blows. “You and me, Melo, next week, and next week my partner will be here to make sure there’s no funny business either”. Having made the challenge, Kit left, and Melo didn’t seem concerned at all about accepting…

Even though it’s technically a Raw program, because of how big it is, we get a video package highlighting what occurred between Bron Breakker and Goldberg on Raw.

WWE Womens Champion Tiffany Stratton had the opportunity to head to the ring and get some things off her chest. She wanted to talk about the state of the women’s division, or as she liked to call it, her division. She understood that she was in for the challenge of a lifetime at Summerslam, if either of the Smackdown competitors remaining in the Queen Of The Ring Tournament won… “But Summerslam is still a LONG time away, and I don’t plan on waiting that long to defend my championship”. Tiffany at this point made an open challenge, stating she was willing to defend her title next week against anybody who accepted the challenge. Nia Jax was the woman who answered the call, telling Tiffy that their issues had never been resolved. “We never had the definitive ending between us, but it will be as definitive as anything next week, when I squash you like a bug”. Tiffy refused to back down, agreeing to the match, but just as it seemed like the segment would be over, Naomi joined the fray. Of course, she had the Money In The Bank briefcase with her. Naomi told them both she just wanted to remind them of what she holds in her hands and what that means. Whoever the champion is, is on borrowed time until she decided to take the title. “Anyway, I mainly came out here to wish you both good luck next week, and let you know, that I’d be watching”. As Tiffy approached Naomi, not enjoying the threat, Nia took a cheap shot. Nia and Naomi then stomped all over Tiffy, until Nia hit The Annihilator. With Tiffy out of it, Naomi took a quick look at her briefcase, but Nia grabbed her and simply said, “no”. Naomi nodded her head in agreement and left the ring, leaving Nia to stand over Tiffy, perhaps a sign of things to come next week…

We also saw a hype package for WWE Champion John Cena throughout the night, as he wasn’t in attendance for tonight’s show…
