AEW World Championship - "Hangman's" Last Chance
Chris Jericho(c) VS "Hangman" Adam Page The main event of the AEW Full Gear 2019 pay per view event surrounded the top men's prize of the company aka the AEW World Championship. Which is currently around the waist of the self-proclaimed "Le Champion" Chris Jericho(c). But who would he be defending the gold against at Full Gear? None other than the man he was able to defeat to become champion in the first place in the form of "Hangman" Adam Page.
The duo of champion and challenger crossed paths repeatedly in the weeks leading up to the Full Gear ppv, in the forms of brawls both backstage and inside the squared circle. This led to AEW General Manager Tony Khan to make a huge match between the two men for the main event of Full Gear. It would be an AEW All Out rematch between Chris Jericho(c) and "Hangman" Adam Page, however it would be Page's last shot at the gold while Jericho was champion.
AEW Women's World Championship
Bea Priestley(c) VS Hikaru Shida At the first AEW All Out pay per view event the pair of Bea Priestley and Hikaru Shida were the final two women still in the ring. At the conclusion of the 21 Women's Casino Battle Royale as a direct result of this it was announced that the two women would clash on the debut episode of Dynamite. In a singles match to determine the first AEW Women's World Champion.
Flash forward to that match and Priestley would get the win thanks to some underhanded tactics and a result was crowned champion. Shida took issue with the way that Priestley went about getting the victory, so she challenged her to a rematch for the gold at Full Gear and an overconfident champion agreed to the match.
Vacant AEW World Tag Team Championship AEW General Manager Tony Khan took to the ring on an episode of AEW Dynamite an invited the company's entire tag team division to join him inside the squared circle. Once the division had answered the call and assembled at ringside, Khan wasted little time in revealing the reason behind the meeting.
He went onto say that at Full Gear a 21 tag team Casino Battle Royale would take place, with the last tag team inside the ring being crowned the first set of AEW World Tag Team Champions.
Light's Out
Jon Moxley VS Kenny Omega At the AEW Double Or Nothing pay per view event a debuting Jon Moxley had the last word in the closing moments of the main event. Which saw Chris Jericho defeat Kenny Omega to punch his ticket to AEW All Out to determine the first AEW World Champion. The previously mentioned Moxley would not limit his choice of target to just one of them, he proceeded to attack both Jericho and Omega.
Jericho would manage to escape with minor damage while the same couldn't be said for Omega to bore the worst of it. Afterwards Moxley stated that he wasn't done with Jericho and would see to rectify his escape but for now he wanted to kick the shit out of Omega. AEW General Manager Tony Khan announced that the two men would clash at Full Gear in a no dq Light's Out match, to put an end to their issues.

A four way women's division match between the quartet of Awesome Kong, Dr Britt Baker DMD, Emi Sakura and Riho. Yet this wouldn't just be a regular women's four way match, the winner of it would be next in line for a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship.
Singles Match
CIMA VS Cody Rhodes A first time men's division one on one match was added to the card of the Full Gear ppv event, between CIMA and Cody Rhodes. On an episode of AEW Dynamite, the Japanese legend aka CIMA confronted Rhodes in a backstage segment and laid down the challenge and Rhodes accepted.
Buy In Match
Billy Gunn VS Kip Sabian An AEW newcomer in the form of Kip Sabian wasted little time in voicing his frustrations over the fact that people past their prime were employed by All Elite Wrestling. Which led to Billy Gunn to confront him and delivered an ultimatum. The ultimatum being that either Sabian can shut up or he aka Gunn could beat some respect into him, which led to AEW GM Tony Khan making the match official for the Buy In of Full Gear.
