  1. Greatest Professional Wrestler of All Time Master Thread

Sorry for the delay in the second round, had some issues the last few days. I'll have the second round up shortly. Can someone, maybe, make a banner and post it at the top of the forum? That'd be a way to advertise.
  2. GPWT Round 1: Hulk Hogan (4) -vs- Eddie Guerrero (13)

There's more to psychology than something that simple. It's getting the crowd to believe in what's happening in the ring. Hogan was a master at getting his ass handed to him for most of the match and having people believe it to the point that they basically orgasm when Hogan made his big...
  3. GPWT Round 1: Steve Austin (3) -vs- Bruno Sammartino (14)

LMAO - considering the only Bruno matches I've ever seen where ones against Hansen, Zbyszko, and his Buddy Rodgers squash, maybe that's why I thought he was good at his style. I stand corrected, sir.
  4. GPWT Round 1: Bret Hart (5) -vs- Curt Hennig (11)

How was I vague? I thought I was very clear when I said the reason I rate Hennig higher in terms of wrestling ability than Hart is because Hennig didn't need to rely on the 5 Moves of Doom mindset in every match. Hennig's matches were, for the most part, all different, all unique. That's what...
  5. Possible **SPOILER** for WWE Royal Rumble & TNA iMPACT Tapings

I don't know, maybe the fact that Vince McMahon completely buried the nWo years ago and there has never been a single hint that he'd consider bringing it back. Or maybe because HBK's been completely gone from the WWE for almost a year now and has said he has no plans to go back to the ring...
  6. Crimson

Yeah, I believe it was on TV last week where he said someone had "made him an offer he couldn't refuse" (MEM tease) to help take out Immortal. And really, putting new guys in positions to become stars is exactly what TNA needs. Instead of relying on a group of people who're already over...
  7. GPWT Round 1: Steve Austin (3) -vs- Bruno Sammartino (14)

As far as the punch-kick-bearhug style of wrestling goes, yeah, I'd have to say Bruno was pretty good in the limited amount of material I've seen from him. That style was just never my cup of tea. Even if we're just talking straight brawling and pay no attention whatsoever to how good Austin...
  8. GPWT Round 1: Hulk Hogan (4) -vs- Eddie Guerrero (13)

Yeah, this is true. But "working" is more than just wrestling - it also involves psychology and working the crowd. Eddie was good at this but Hogan was so much better. In terms of psychology, there are few who could rate with Hogan really. And I despise Hogan so it really pains me to say that.
  9. GPWT Round 1: Bret Hart (5) -vs- Curt Hennig (11)

See, I don't buy that Hart was this master wrestler who could adapt to anyone. Yes he was a very good wrestler but, even by his own admission in his book, the vast majority of Bret's matches were him doing his spots and working his opponent into the match. I'll say he was, arguably, a better...
  10. GPWT Round 1: Steve Austin (3) -vs- Bruno Sammartino (14)

Because you can't create separate polls in each thread. Thanks for the awesome explanations by the way.
  11. Crimson

I'm not shy to hate on TNA or point out their inconsistencies but Crimson being involved with Immortal actually does make sense. Red was trounced by Jarrett in the Double J Double M A Challenge and Crimson came in to exact revenge for his brother. From there, it's been stated that he was hired...
  12. Possible **SPOILER** for WWE Royal Rumble & TNA iMPACT Tapings

Based on 2 guys coming back to be part of the Royal Rumble?? That's what the Rumble is all about, surprise entrants fans haven't seen in a WWE ring in awhile. They haven't been doing this of late so I'm personally glad they went out of their way to bring in a couple surprises, even if they...
  13. Possible **SPOILER** for WWE Royal Rumble & TNA iMPACT Tapings

Yeah, we know - it's already been confirmed that he's returning tonight. Are you going to update us that Nash is in Boston as well?
  14. Possible **SPOILER** for WWE Royal Rumble & TNA iMPACT Tapings

Source: www.f4wonline.com There is a lesson to be learned here regarding shooting angles first and then trying to sign the guys up. Booker T is confirmed to be in the Royal Rumble. Kevin Nash is expected to be there as well. Both canceled autograph signings scheduled this weekend. Those in...
  15. IWF Debate League Card 1 OFFICIAL SIGN-UP

Not much of a surprise, I believe I know who it is. A wannabe shock radio jockey who doesn't know a wristlock from a wristwatch.
  16. vip member

fuzzy are you just mad that you can't get into the VIP section and see the noodie movies?? There are easier ways to find porn. And if you're going to purchase both volumes of LHR's "How to Guide," there are probably cheaper ways, too.
  17. IWF Debate League Card 1 OFFICIAL SIGN-UP

The non-wrestling topics for this round that TQO came up with. [/INDENT]
  18. GPWT Round 1: Hulk Hogan (4) -vs- Eddie Guerrero (13)

    Eddie was awesome but....it's Hogan.
  19. Who is the new they??

Crimson came out last week in the trademark Mafia-style suit and this week he said something along the lines of "They made me an offer I couldn't refuse." That's a huge giveaway, clue, whatever. Then Steiner debuts at the end of the night in a Mafia suit helping Angle and the other faces...
  20. GPWT Round 1: Steve Austin (3) -vs- Bruno Sammartino (14)

I'm saying it now - Bruno Sammartino was a Regional Champion. Austin blows him out of the water. Who says I'm wrong?
