A good wrestling boy told me this was a great forum for wrestling fans so I'm popping in to share a preview for my NEW wrestling comic from Image comics (out this Wednesday 12/18). It's called WRESTLE HEIST and it's about, well, wrestlers doing a heist!

From the outrageous, action-packed mind of multi-time Eisner nominee Kyle Starks(Peacemaker Tries Hard, Sexcastle, I Hate This Place), with eye-popping colors by Vladimir Popov (Where Monsters Lie, Fearscape), comes a no-holds-barred heist caper packed with body slams and backstabs.

In Wrestle Heist, a former pro wrestler narrowly survives a brush with death at the hands of a crooked promoter. His plan for revenge? Assemble a crew of fellow wrestlers he’s wronged over the years and rob the promoter blind during the biggest wrestling event of the year. With suplexes, schemes, and sheer chaos, the only thing certain is that someone’s going down for the count.

It's sort of like what if Bret Hart robbed Wrestlemania after the Montreal Screwjob with other guys that Vince had screwed over the years. I did the design and backmatter with ads and articles in the style of a vintage wrestling magazine I think you'd all get a huge kick out of.

I am a 3x Eisner nominee who got started in comics some 10+ years ago when I made my FIRST comic which was ALSO a wrestling comic called THE LEGEND OF RICKY THUNDER which was optioned a couple years ago (which has lapsed, unfortunately) with DOLPH ZIGGLER/NIC NEMETH tagged to play the starring role. I've loved wrestling and comics my entire life and combining them is just a perfect you got chocolate on my peanut butter situation for me! I hope you check it out, I hope you enjoy!
