Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re trying to say, can you name me an equivalent of when a leftist major political figure was assassinated where the right didn’t condemn it and/or celebrated it?
Cause I’d think that’s just as abhorrent if that did happen. I can’t think of a single leftist politician that I disagree with where I’d have an equal reaction as this to it. I wouldn’t want AOC or Greta Thunberg or any of them murdered.
Shit, I could even name you a far right commentator who I think everybody here probably would agree is vile is Jake shields who is one of the most prominent Nazi antisemitic racist piles of trash that I’ve seen on Twitter and he spouts his nonsense every day and I don’t even think I could bring myself to celebrate his death, even though I don’t think he has a single redeeming quality.
With all due respect, and I want you to take this not as an insult but just as a stated fact: You're not a member of any group that generally gets attacked. You're a mildly conservative white cisgender heterosexual male.
When you're a victim of hate and derision and the policies of these lemonheaded conservatives who think the Bible should go before the Constution and the wellbeing of others, it changes your perception and your priorities.
Charlie Kirk hated LGBTQ people, he advocated for and pushed for their marginalization, their banishment, and eventual extinction. He was anti-immigration disguised as "we just want to secure our borders", he thinks leftists are brainwashed idiots who have been victims of "cultural marxism", which is a thinly veiled dogwhistle for thinking "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one."
I'm not saying you're wrong for not being happy people died, but I also don't think anyone here really has the moral high ground to say that people shouldn't celebrate the death of someone they believe was a hate-monger who brought nothing but darkness and ideological destruction to the masses.
It's a matter of perspective.
