Yeah I knew Mark’s contract had expired. Couldn’t remember about Show though. But we should have realized that considering how fast they were on AEW TV.

Yeah I was guessing this too. The only real difference I remember is that they're allowed to so a bit more outside stuff than regular performers such as appearing appearing meet and greets for small indies or what not. I THINK Mark may have even still been under WWE contract when I met him at one earlier this year too in February

It must be very odd for people who watch WWE casually and don't read online dirtsheets to see people like Kross pop up on the main roster as a gladiator, then in vignettes as some kind of devil advocate, and then not showing up anymore. I don't remember WWE doing stuff like this 10-15 years ago, they invested a lot more time in talents. The only guy who had a very short run and left I remember is Vickie Guerrero's Latino boyfriend, Eric Escobar. And maybe Tyson Kidd's bodyguard.

The Ruthless Aggression Era was the worst with this. So many people came and went.

Oh really? I started watching WWE regularly around 2009 so I don't think I ever noticed this.

That's the start of PG and I think they stopped doing it as much.

Look through 2002 to 2008 and you'll see so many people that had short runs.

Honestly if I had just started watching and saw so many people coming and going, that could have made me stop, it must be so frustrating to invest into someone and see them released three weeks later.

It’s one of the reasons I don’t love it as much some do.

I actually liked quite a few of these short timers.

Yeah there's a lot of people who had hype vignettes, debuted and then just disappeared after a few matches. Some even just had hype videos and never debuted but if you started in 2009, I don't remember them doing it as much starting then. Ruthless Agression era was real bad about it like Smark said though. I wasn't on dirt sheets or anything back then bc I was a kid and didn't know about them but I was always on WWE.com still and they at least announced releases so I knew those....but then people that just got sent back down to OVW randomly I never heard from again
