I mean, credit to Jesse Love for outrunning 3 JRM Drivers...but Zilisch is getting screwed over. Dale Jr. has been against a one race dash for the Championship and the system is going to bite im in the ass.

Winning races is now far more impressive than winning a championship. Fuck this sport and the dumbfucks who run it.

Yep. I'd be way more impressed by a guy who retires with 20 wins and no titles than a guy with 4 wins and 3 championships.

Yeah, I listened to Dale Jrs. post race interview and he said that Connor was taking it hard, which is not surprising considering the year that he has had. The man overcame injuring himself after celebrating to still being the clear and obvious person who should be Champion right now. Dale Jr. also said that Justin A. was taking the loss hard also but I am sure not as hard as Connor.

Dale took the high road about what happened but I am sure that if he wasn't an owner right now his words would have been different.

I feel for Zilitsch. He worked his ass off the entire season, having a dominant season and ends up finishing runner-up to Jesse Love. This is the same shit that happened to Harvick in 2020 when he won 9 races and ended up finishing 5th in the standings, because he had bad finishes in the playoffs, eliminating him from contending in the Championship 4. The playoffs suck, and after Zilitsch finished runner-up last night, they need to get rid of it now. It's not fair that there are drivers that dominates the season, and ends up falling short of a championship, because of a flawed playoffs, and that would piss anybody off. If NASCAR had the brains, they would make the announcement to get rid of the playoffs. But no.

Congrats to Zilitsch on a hard-fought season, he deserves better than Love.
