Terry Funk has had one of the most amazing careers of all time and while being appreciated, I think he's seriously underrated. debuting in 1965 and has fought as recent as 2017. Guy is such a legend.

What are some feuds people loved during his career? Flair, Dusty, Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley. I have to certainly brush up on earlier Funk, my best knowledge of him was from 1985 on, so I'm missing a good 20 years of brushing up on his history.

According to Don Muraco, Terry Funk is currently living in an assisted living facility and suffering from dementia.

During Don Muraco’s Magnificent Podcast, Muraco was talking about Japan when Terry Funk came to mind, and he had some very sad news to deliver about The Funker’s current health status & was given this information by Scott Casey.

“I heard that Terry Funk is in a home and disabled for dementia. Yeah. I spoke with Scott Casey over the weekend. I guess he’s all the way down in Amarillo, Texas. So I don’t know. I know his wife passed away two or three years ago. I don’t know who he’s with or what’s going on.” Man this is heartbreaking to hear

Damn, that is both good that he is getting help, but sad at the time. Terry Funk has been one my favorites whether it was a Hardcore/Deathmatch or not because he was like the outlaw version of Dusty Rhodes, in a manner of speaking. As well along with his brother they helped create the foundation for King's Road style of wrestling found in AJPW, NOAH, and even FMW honestly, and he has been several animes more so than any other wrestler if you think about it, which says something.

You can never keep a Funker down. Terry had the intelligence to groom the next generation back during the ECW Days when other talents around his Age were trying to keep their spots Terry wanted to help the young talent in Wrestling for it to continue to flourish.
