I have watched a lot of shows about this and I believe it. I think it’s a very complex situation when it comes to how it develops because I think we all know people who have gone through some terrible things in life and are perfectly normal when it comes to dealing with their trauma and even those we know who do struggle with it don’t have a bunch of personalities that go along with it so I guess it’s just the understanding of how exactly things in life lead to this as opposed to what I would think would be a simpler way of explaining it which would be someone is born with it due to a chemical imbalance , for example.
I can’t remember the name of it but I watched a show on YouTube that interviewed a woman who has it (she had colorful hair, if anyone decides to look for it, and she was sitting in a room with a fella interviewing her so if you see this, it’s the one I watched). It was really bizarre to watch as the interviewer asked if one of her personalities would come out, which was a young child, and it took a while as this personality didn’t want to take over but when she did, it was a full grown woman as a 3 year old or whatever age it was. She sat like a child, talked like a child, fiddled around like a child.
She explained that when a personality takes over, it’s like you are sitting in the backseat of a car and can see what is going on but you can’t do anything about it because the personality that is in the “driver’s seat” is in control.
The mind is a very powerful thing and as unbelievable as things may sound, I just don’t cast much doubt on it. I don’t see a purpose for someone to use their energy just acting out a bunch of different personalities for no reason. The woman in the YouTube video had to explain her condition to her friends and boyfriend and they’ve “met” all her personalities (I think she had 10) so yeah…I don’t know why someone would be out in public as a grown women acting like a very young child or any other personalities they have for no reason other than they actually have a disorder.
