Since we don't have a thread about sports in general, I've decided to make one, thanks to @O-Blaze for mentioning it.

It's the women's euros - I try to watch it but I just find it so boring

And before anyone accuses me of some sort of ism - I support a non league team and that just as crap. I hope England do good and I might switch back on once the knockouts start

Although tbf I find ALL football a chore these days - it just feels so corporate

We may have seen the biggest upset in women's soccer that the NCAA can deliver. Northwestern St beat #19 Texas 3-2. For context, last year the Lady Demons didn't score their first goal until their 6th game. Yeah, I'm a week late, so what?

What brings you to keep up with random college sports like this? Just general interest or what lol not judging or anything just curious about various interests

Also very much appreciate these posts, I don't really follow sports at all anymore and I used to be deep into them, but if it's posted on here I at least get to keep up somewhat without having to seek any content out lol

I enjoy soccer. I even coached at a middle school I worked out for a year. I'm actually watching a men's game between North Florida and Marquette right now.

Particularly, I like college sports. There really isn't a single sport I can't watch and enjoy to some extent and colleges play darn near all of them. College sports always have some stakes built in and it's easy to pick a team to like or one to dislike. I like LSU in everything because I went there. I like Minnesota because some of my best friends went to Minnesota. I can cheer Navy because I was in the Navy and those guys aren't officers yet (how I paid for LSU and met the Minnesotans). I can boo Texas A&M because when they lose, I can make fun of the cousins I have who went there. I have a bookmark on my browser that I can click and see what Southeastern Louisiana is doing this week just in case I can find the time to go. I have no connection at all with Coastal Carolina, but with the way their coach behaved at the College World Series, I've got no problem cheering for any team that plays against them in any sport.

They want to play. I want to watch. Sometimes I see (or more likely get in my Facebook feed) something interesting enough to post.

Edit: Some people get really into music or celebrities. I'm into sports. I tend to avoid memorizing minutiae, but I know where to look most of it up. I live about 6 miles from Southeastern Louisiana University and I've met the AD, but outside of my former students, I don't think I could name a single player on any team (as I am writing this in August. That status might change once I've been to a few games.)
