Mafia Roles:

Absorber -
Can Be Any Alignment; you absorb any action performed on you that is not a kill and gives you the ability to use them on later nights.

Actor - A standard town role; you cannot vote if your vote would not result in a lynch.

Arsonist - An extra third-party role; each night you may "prime" a target, which will set them up to be killed whenever you choose to ignite your targets. You win if you are the only player left alive.

Ascetic Townie - An extra town role; any actions performed on you that are not kills will automatically fail.

Astrologist - An extra third-party role; At the beginning of the game, you will predict which back-to-back alignments will be lynched by the town (i.e. Town, Mafia; Mafia, Town; Town, Town; Mafia, Mafia). If you predict successfully in the exact order, you win.

Beloved Princess - An extra town role; if you are lynched, the next day phase will be skipped.

Beloved Townie - An extra town role; you will require an extra vote to lynch you.

Body Guard - An extra town role; each night you may visit a player to protect them. If they are targeted by a kill, you will die in their place.

Bomber - An extra town role; If you are killed at night, you will kill your killer.

Bulletproof - Can Be Any Alignment; if you are the target of a kill, you will be protected on the first attempt.

Bus Driver - Can Be Any Alignment; once per night, you may swap two different players. Any action performed on Player A will instead happen to Player B, and vice versa.

Commuter - An extra town role; each night you may choose to "commute" out of town, rendering any and all actions inconclusive. You may only do this a certain number of times.

Cop/Detective/Sheriff - A common town role; once per night you may investigate a player to see what alignment they are.

Coroner - An extra town role; if a player's role-reveal is hidden, you may choose to personally discover their role.

Cult - A bastard third-party role; each night you may turn another player into a cult member. The cult wins when their numbers overtake each other faction. If the cult leader is killed, all other cult members are killed alongside them.

Death Miller - A bastard role; when you die, your role will be revealed as the opposite alignment.

Deflector - Can Be Any Alignment; each night you may visit another player, any action that is performed on them will be redirected towards a second player of your choosing.

Doctor/Medic - A common town role; once per night you may visit a player, if they are targeted by a kill, it will fail.

Double Voter - Can Be Any Alignment; your vote counts as 2 instead of 1.

Executioner - An extra mafia role; you have the ability to auto-lynch a player if they have 1/2 the votes required for a majority.

Faith Healer - An extra town role; you have the ability to protect other players at night from being killed. However, if you protect a player that the doctor is also protecting, both of your protections will counteract.

FBI Agent - An extra town role; each night you may investigate a player to see if they are the Serial Killer or not.

Firefighter - An extra town role; you have the ability to protect other players at night from an Arsonist's primer.

Follower - Can Be Any Alignment; Each night you may follow a player. You will see if they perform any actions, but not who they visit.

Forensic Investigator - An extra town role; At night you may investigate a dead player to receive a list of other players who targeted them.

Framer - A bastard mafia role; each night you may choose to target a player. If that player is investigated by a cop, they will return as "Mafia" aligned.

Inventor - Can Be Any Alignment; once per night you may give an item to another player. These items have special properties that allow them to use an ability the next night.

Jack-of-all-Trades - An extra town role; you have one of each abilities: A protection, a kill, a cop investigation, and a roleblock. You may only use one per night.

Jailkeeper - Can Be Any Alignment; each night you may "jail" another player. They will be protected from any kill attempts, but they will also be role blocked and thus unable to perform any actions they may have.

An Explanation of Role Types:

Name
Description
Common
A common role that may be seen in nearly every mafia game. Examples of common roles include: Vanilla Townie, Cop, Doctor, and Mafia, and Godfather.
Standard
Roles that do not fall under the umbrella of vanilla, but enhance the game experience and allow for more complex gameplay without major mechanics. Examples of Standard roles include: Double Voter, Ninja, Tracker, and Serial Killer.
Extra
An extra role is that which may be seen in a role madness game, in which multiple players will have overlapping roles. Examples of Extra roles include: Tree Stump, Jailkeeper, Coroner, or an Astrologist.
Bastard
A bastard role is one which is intentionally placed into the game to either frustrate players or cause issues between alignments. These should be used with extreme caution, as there is a fine balance between "Bastard but Fair" and "Sadistic Host Bastard". Some prime examples of Bastard roles include: Death Miller, Cult, Unjester, Mirror, and Hated Townie.
