The epic match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXV made everyone go its a classic, it's a 5 star match. Well the ever brilliant Dave Meltzer has giving the match ***** rating. This is the first for 3 years and the first in the WWE The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Badd Blood 1997 in a Hell in a Cell. Its a second 5 star award for The Undertaker but the third Shawn Michaels in the WWE. These two nearly retiring but they can still pull off all the stop. Well done to thwm and the WWE creative team.

I agree, and feel the match deserved the rating. It saved WM25.

^^^^And then some... I'm still finding it hard to be particularly negative about anything that went down, because my mind just flips to Taker/HBK and I start buggin' out again! (After 20-30mins of silence, the first words I uttered to my friend after that match were "Shit, I've been marking SO hard that I need a stiff drink!" LOL)

Can't say I think creative played that important a role tho'.

...And LOL @ "the ever brilliant Dave Meltzer".

If it was Kobashi vs Taker, it'd be a ************* classic.

Wait, so people have moved from creaming over HBK vs Flair to HBK vs Taker, and totally forgotten about the WM24 match that people were saying as "THE BEST MATCH EV0RZ~!"

Funny how much a year changes people.

^^^Maybe they just thought the match on Sunday was better than HBK/Flair?

It was without a doubt, a classic match.

Will be remembered for years to come. But the hype surrounding the match should have been greater. Still didn't feel like Austin/Rock, Hogan/Warrior or Rock/Hogan.

But anyways, one of the best matches I've seen in a long time and perhaps the only one worthy of being called an actual 'WrestleMania 25 match' :glare:

Yes, it was a great match. I'm actually surprised that it lived up to the hype. As I was watching it, I kept thinking "this is going to be remembered for a long time", and I bet it will be.

^^^yeah, I must admit, I am gobsmacked that I haven't seen at least one post complaining about it... Smarks WILL be Smarks afterall.

perhaps the only one worthy of being called an actual 'WrestleMania 25 match' :glare:

Nah man, the Jericho match transpired to be way above expectation and in turn was perfect for the occasion... (Give or take the fact that Rourke should have done a diving headbutt on Y2j rather than the typical "OMG he's been KO'd crap they have pulled previously with the likes of Tyson & 'Buster' Douglas.)

I felt that this was the best match I had ever witnessed, both live and on television. It had all the right moves and skills to be considered a damn perfect match. Crazy spots, missed opportnities, ohhh it was great

5* no doubt about it
