Too many actually. Just a few franchises off the top of my head...
James Bond (minus the last three Brosnan movies)
Star Wars
Star Trek (TV series as well)
Alien
Predator
Halloween
Friday the 13th
A Nightmare on Elm Street
And some individual movies
Big Trouble in Little China
The Thing...
I got one at a toy store near my office and the other on Amazon. Just search for "Big Trouble In Little China Reaction" and they should come up. Think they were like 10 bucks each.
Haha, thanks. Still need to pick up the three storms and Gracie at some point. No Wang Chi figure makes me sad though, he was the true hero of the movie. Hopefully they release another series because Egg Shen, Cousin Eddie and some of the Wing Kong guys could use figures as well.
Many...
My old review thread was called The Wing Kong Exchange and my user name was David Lo Pan, so I'm a pretty big mark for BTILC as well. I even have Jack Burton and DLP action figures ffs!
Anyhow, I'm okay with this simply because the movie is goofy fun, and I think Dwayne can bring a lot of that...
Would you prefer the term "mindless" instead of stupid? Because whether you like the movies or not, you can't deny that they're just mindless entertainment.
That's not a knock by the way, I like a ton of mindless shit.
Many Bothans died to bring you this Tapatalk message.
Actually, they've already gone ahead and announced release dates for 9 and 10. 9 is set for April 19th, 2019 while 10 is April 2nd, 2021. The plan is for this one to kick off a new trilogy, so unless it bombs hard I'd say those two will be going ahead.
True, it probably won't hit massive numbers like the last one, but even Furious 6 did almost $800 million. If there's one thing this proves, it's that people love spending their money on stupid shit.
The last one made over $1.5 billion at the box office, so there's your answer. They're definitely shit (although I found the last one outrageously entertaining in that train wreck sort of way) but if they're making that kind of dough there's no way the studio would be foolish enough to stop.
If only they could have gotten Parker and Brett's shares. They're more than deserving.
What are your off days?
I'd be down for Alien on Wednesday night.
Downloaded the show a little while ago so I'll probably get to it tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. Heard Kushida/Ospreay was off the hook and that Cody Hall almost got killed.
Disney was probably just waiting to be sure Star Wars did well. They've owned Indy since they bought LucasFilm.
As for the GIF, I have no idea what it is but yeah, it's pretty hilarious.
Crystal Skull did suck the fat one BUT it also made $786 million worldwide, which is even better than Raiders adjusted for inflation number. Like it or not, Disney would be idiots not to go to the well with this franchise as many times as possible.
As far as I know, they aren't considering passing the torch any longer and you can't really blame them after the Shia fiasco. I'd rather see this be the end of the franchise than see it spin-off with an actor who can't hold a candle to Ford.
